The murder of the child was way worse in the book they (blood and cheese) made the queen choose which son would die.

@@disturbedconfessions other difference is they held both her children at knifepoint with Helena begging them to kill her instead, but they refused still insisting she choose which son would die. She chose the younger son but it was the older boy who was killed
In the show, there’s only two. The twins - boy and girl. They cut out Maelor the third son from the show. The books is different - in the book Haelena tells them to take her and they said no. They came for a son, if she doesn’t give them what they want they’ll rape her daughter - the other twin Jaehaera. she then tells them to kill Maelor her youngest child bc he won’t remember she made that decision. They instead kill Jaehaerys (the oldest son) the oldest twin who is the “heir.” When they take his head, Haelena clutches her dead son’s body.
In terms of Aemond and Daemon, Daemon has ACTUALLY been to war. Even though he’s older, he knows the ins and outs of what happens in war. He has that knowledge which is an advantage. Daemon and Aemond are similar, that’s why they have so much tension between them. They’re essentially mirrors of each other. Don’t want to give spoilers but their fates are intertwined.

On top of that, where the hell are the guards??? There should still be guard stationed for the protection of aegon & his family as there is a literal war going on but as we saw, they didn’t really took the war and the threat seriously as they should’ve especially aegon
I’m sure either Cole or Alicent sent the guards away so no one saw Cole sneaking in and out of her chambers during the hour of the wolf.
I am team black and the only green I like is Helaena feel so bad for her loosing her baby boy, hope they catch the killers for Helaena's sake.

Everything pretty much turned out well.
Some non-book readers will probably find this episode boring but as a book reader myself I thought it was a good first episode. Only issues I had was Criston and Alicent as well as Blood and Cheese.
