It's absolutely wild to me that Bashur is dead now. One of the people I used to enjoy as a content creator is now purely a memory, never to be seen or heard from again. I'm at the very least relieved that he managed to die close to beloved family and friends, despite all the shit that had happened to him. RIP.

That’s why I wish RUclips gave the option to unsubscribe a lot of people all at once. Like if someone hasn’t seen one of your videos in 5 years, the RUclipsr can click unsub all people absent for this long. If you know what I’m getting at. It would tell how many they would be getting rid of but it would allow new audiences to see it and not old gmail accounts that probably aren’t even used anymore
Contemplating starting a series myself, I’m an engineering student and thought it might be fun to do a channel dedicated to structurally accurate builds designed in CAD - AutoCAD and Autodesk Robot - to be structurally sound and realised in Minecraft. Seems like a good way to improve my civil engineering knowledge, which is the discipline I struggle with most.

One creator that semi disappeared (now quit youtube as of July 2021) was a Minecraft Animator called Willcraft, he was the one who started the infamous Monster School series for minecraft youtube and originally created as primarily a practice project for him to get better at animating and to gain more traction than the stuff he was making before. Although he himself doesn't consider monster school a genre/format, he would also do other types of videos and he has his own unique series called Endventures. His channel would skyrocket throughout 2013-2014, however in 2015, his content was really slowing down as he was getting less and less time for videos and he was starting to get less interested in minecraft, another thing to note is that he was starting to get worried about the future of his channel (and get symptoms of depression) as he knew that if monster school ended then he would lose viewers and he also didn't want to continue it forever since it was only really filler stuff on his channel until he made Endventures stuff, so he would do top 10s and such with him inside the videos so that way the videos could be watchable, but sadly it didn't help anything. He would upload his final Monster School video in spring of 2015 and his final Minecraft video for over half a decade in October 2015. After that he would start to become depressed and less happy, he would still work on Endventures but during spring 2016 he had a breakdown that really demotivated him from making any content he put lots of effort in. He made an update video in April 2016 stating he was ok, then in November of that year he would make a more detailed update video and would say that he has quit making Minecraft content as a whole (though didn't say a thing about Endventures) he said he ultimately got sick of doing it and that he wanted to move on to making more professional work that didn't leech off a game's popularity and also get into game design. After that his content would change a lot, he started to make vent videos where he gave updates on his mental health and that he was full of depression and struggled to make Content he liked. He would also occasionally do reviews and showcase some games he made. This would ultimately continue throughout 2017 and 2018 (although Willcraft did briefly get back into minecraft animating during Late Summer 2017 but it died out very quickly) and he would get pretty low views which he liked because that meant he could see which of his audience still cared about him. In 2019 he would start making a much larger scope game called Exit The Intraverse he would make several update videos about it, he also still made vent videos and such and of course ignored any questions about Monster School. In 2021 he would then announce that he would be quitting youtube indefinitely since he didn't really see a point in doing it anymore as he would just disappear from time to time and that the content he put out really wasn't something he was passionate about, he also wanted to completely start over from scratch and get a new audience since trying to reform his youtube channel proved to be more effort than what it was worth, but he would make a final video to clear up lots of things and answer a lot of questions, and he also said that Exit The Intraverse would be put on hold since it turned out to be much larger scope than he anticipated and thus was affecting his mental health. He would also make a conclusion to Endventures and explain the rest of the story, it's also poetic in a way that his channel started with Endventures and ended with Endventures. He also made a discord server that he intends to keep up for a bit of time and then he will close it down and only let people stay on that he really trusts will like his new content I also decided to remake the first 6 Episodes of his Endventures series to pay a tribute to it and also make the story more complete and generate attention for Endventures again. Which you can find them on my channel. I will also be trying to animate the rest of Endventures and it's plot since it's not too much work and he also gave me some skin assets for it.
I'm glad people still remember Will. I loved (original) monster school as well as Endventures. They were some of the first Minecraft Aanimations I would watch and when I saw the copies of monster school I was so disappointed. I miss Will but I just hope he's alright.

Damn the original monster school had actual characters in a believable setting with no dialogue to get you invested on but you still get into the entire thing like ughhhh Monster School used to be so good with Willcraft and some minor animators that toyed around the idea before it stagnated and turned into an abomination

That guy used to do some seriously good Minecraft animations, and one day he went radio silent for a year, only to upload an animation about an enderman playing some majestic music using a violin with some kind of creature. he hasn't uploaded since and I never really understood what happened to him
Apparently he comments on his girlfriends channel (I don't know who that would be) and apparently he just left so he could focus on the animation industry and he lost interest in Minecraft. So basically, he's doing fine
Wanna know what's sad? You have lost far more RUclipsrs than you have realized. If a fav RUclipsr just disappeared one day without any final message, you probably didn't notice for a few weeks, you might get an odd feeling that you are missing something, something big, but you wouldn't be able to find out who they are ever. The fact your mind can just somehow practically delete core memories that you cherished horrifies me. It even could have been a RUclipsr you watched religiously after school every day and be the one RUclipsr that help you through your hardest times, and you just... forgot about them. It's scary knowing how much can change and how nothing in permanent, that people can just one day disappear without any word and the fact you can just forget they existed.
One channel exactly like that was Bananapielord. I couldn’t remember until years later, and he had rebranded to music, scrubbing his old history so well that only about 100 people combined really remembered it and sought it. Thankfully, Bananapielord is back.
There's this 1 early 2011-2012 mc ytuber that posts documentary vids about mobs that I never can seem to find. Particularly his herobrine documentary cos young me never thought of him as a 'mob'

Checking on a RUclips channel you used to love and seeing how much it's declined leaves a certain kind of emptiness that's hard to even explain. My favorite Minecraft channel way back in 2014-2015 was ran by a couple, boyfriend and girlfriend, who enjoyed playing the game together. They broke up in 2018 and I've never had the guts to even look them up since. I do NOT want to see what their channel has been reduced to. It's heartbreaking, man...
I think you left out something about TrueMU. At one point, he unlisted all his minecraft videos and rebranded his channel as a music channel. A lot of people didn't know why the videos were popping up in their subscription feeds, they didn't realise who it was. He has since put the minecraft videos back up and got rid of the music ones, and changed the channel name back.

For me it was def DanTDM and PopularMMOS. Except both have turned to younger audiences or I'm just too old for them now. I CAN say that I hate the direction Dan went in; crafting his content to be more "tween" oriented.
As a kid i was really only invested in Sky (and to a lesser extent, Deadlox) but through Sky I watched most of the team crafted content and I still remember loving the Crazy Craft series Sky made with Bashur and Deadlox. Its absolutely tragic everything that happened to Bashur, he got screwed over at seemingly every turn. Finding out he died from this comment section hit me harder than I expected.
I thought it was interesting how Bajan's parody song Hunger Games was also trimmed down. He removed the section where he was giving thanks to the creator of the original song for letting him make a parody. Like why now? It's been up for years with that section included.
Yeah, i decided to watch it for nostalgia sake. When it ended, it felt off. Like something was missing. I didn't care about it when it was still there, but now I kinda want to see it.

Not entirely sure why it got removed but i remember the message at the end of the song was longer than the song itself so perhaps that has something to do with it?
I think its because more than half of the runtime from the ending was from selling his merchandise. If i recalled in 2019 when rewatching it, he still had that ending. He used more than half to promote his BajanCanadians red and black sweater and probably decided that it unnecessary after not selling the merch anymore.

God i remember watching skydoesminecraft after a bad day at school and cheeding up. I miss their content but i respect their choice on a different path. I remember watching MinecraftUniverse, I wasn’t a huge time fan but through seeing him play w/ Sky was how I was introduced to his channel. It’s good to know he seems to be doing alright and has found passion in music making and a great career at that

It makes me sad that so many great RUclipsrs, parts of my childhood, have just disappeared off the platform. I remember watching Minecraft Universe and Bajan Canadian when I was still new to RUclips and I remember really enjoying seeing Basherverse in a video. They were so great and brought me a lot of joy. Now it kinda hurts me that they’re gone and I might never watch their content again. 😢
AviatorGaming comes to mind. He’s still on RUclips, just on his girlfriend’s channel rather than doing minecraft. Xylophoney and so many others are still around which is good, but when I realized Aviator stopped, not gonna lie, it really hurt.
Something I’d want to see is a memorial world to the people who popularized minecraft, something that pats Homage to all current MC legends, and to all future legends Something like a museum with statues based on their iconic skins and books stating their history and effect on the community

i used to love minecraft universe as a kid. hearing that he’s worked with post malone makes me feel like he’s never truly left my life. although posty isn’t one of my favorite artists, he does have a handful of singles that i enjoy. picturing trueMU in the studio hearing post lay down his vocals for rockstar, sunflower, or one right now is a nice thought to imagine.

Another (much smaller) minecraft RUclipsr was Moonica. Her real name was Monica and she is Tobuscus’s cousin. Tobuscus gave her a shoutout which gave her a subscriber boost, but at some point she just disappeared. There is _no_ trace of her on the Internet. It’s like her entire existence has been completely scrubbed.
I'm 5 months late but I want to mention dadsRfunny. For 1 of the first Minecraft RUclipsrs, along with Uberaxernova(when he did upload MC), the adventure of Mary and Dad were my favourite....and then they stopped uploading.

I started playing Minecraft in 2014 or 2015, a bit late in comparison to most veteran Minecraft players. There are many old RUclipsrs who I used to watch but now I don't, usually because the content got boring but sometimes because the RUclipsr did something controversial. I never actually left Minecraft during the Minecraft dark ages, 2016 and 2017 were some of my peak years, and the communities I was in were very lively!

I find it strange that in 8-10 years people like Dream Tommy and Wilbur will probably be viewed in the same way that these youtubers are now. Prediction rant: Albeit this new generation of mc youtubers are a lot more familiar with how youtube works, for example I can not imagine Dream or Tommy going anywhere unless they voluntarily quit or some major scandal happens that deplatforms them, they know the algorithm too well to go irrelevant. I can completely imagine Wilbur quitting youtube eventually in favor of his music career though. I feel like Tubbo might eventually go purely to livestreams, he already rarely uploads to youtube. It will be interesting to see where they end up though, I am more optimistic of their futures though because they have the mistakes of the old generation to learn from.
Even though Dream, Tommy, and Wilbur are dominating the charts, I doubt they will last forever. In the next 10-20 years a new wave of RUclipsrs (or a completely new platform) will emerge and take over the old ones, no matter how popular they used to be. The algorithm doesn’t stay the same forever and unless they are all highly adaptable to new content changes, their style of content could stop trending real quick. It’s also hard to stay motivated to create new and refreshing content over the course of a decade, so their content may very well go stale just like Stampy and SkyDoesMinecraft. Having a full time job playing Minecraft when you’re 15-20 is cool, and might be cool for the next 5-10 years, but by the time they’re 30 or 40 it might start weighing on them.
Tubbo, despite the fans baby-ing him 24/7, is actually a business-minded person. I watched a lot of his streams and he has mentioned upcoming projects behind the scene, and the stuff he's been working on. So I'm more likely to see Tubbo as the next CaptainSparklez (because I know Sparkle is more into business now and does RUclips regularly for fun). Tommy and Dream has the biggest chance to be deplatformed seeing how many haters they have that's always watching every move they do. I can say this for Tommy because he's young and with the way he films his stuff, he might actually get cancelled if he's not careful enough with his words. (Sometimes his jokes are a bit too far). Or I can see them becoming the next BajanCanadian and JeromeASF. The kids see them, and move on to the next big thing. Wilbur will for sure pursue music. He's already doing it and he has mentioned that he doesn't wanna waste the fame he has now if he won't do what he likes (music) immediately.
I think that dream will probably drift away from minecraft eventually to focus on music, imo at least what he has released already have been absolute bangers

Especially with how he has handled the speedrunning situation i could see that happening if he doesn't learn from his mistakes and handle drama better in the future. if he does mature tho he knows the algorithm very well so he could probably adapt his content. i cant really see tommy going anywhere rn tho, i feel like he will probably becoming a vlogging/irl content based youtuber since he's expressed interest in it and has already started doing it with pretty good success. and didnt know tubbo was like that, i figured he had a lot more of a casual approach given that he rarely uploads and tends to just stream when he feels like it from what ive seen. very cool that he is into that tho

NitroLukeDX is a childhood favorite of mine and he still does videos, very similar to Stampy’s because of his videos consisting adventures and his own cinematic universe.
Man, this video took me on a rollercoaster. I watched all four of these channels, but their existence totally skipped my mind over the years, and it was only through this video that I remembered them. You truly keep the community alive 🥺
There were a couple guys I used to watch a loooong time ago, one was TobiwanK3nobi, he mostly did some mega builds that were pretty impressive for the time, and also had his own texture pack - and his brother (I think?) also had a channel that was all lets plays, starting with minecraft and then expanded to some other games. And they both up and disappeared. Tobi's videos are still up, he just hasn't made a new one in 8 years, but the other guy, first made a new channel at one point and moved all of his stuff over, then changed the channel name a few times, and then I think removed all of his videos and disappeared. They were relatively small channels so I don't know how many people knew about them or would remember them, but I liked 'em and wonder what happened sometimes.
If you ever take a break from RUclips, you can do another one of these videos of yourself but get the information regarding it from sources other than yourself
This should be a reminder to archive the content of creators you enjoy as it can all just vanish overnight. IPFS will soon be widely used to fix that, but until it is, just remember that the internet is quite fragile.

I've not played Minecraft or even watched them since I was in my second year of high school (so around 2014/15) but wanted a dose of nostalgia from my childhood and its shocking to see how many have just vanished. I think the only person I heard about in the time post-2015 was Bashur cause of all the drama that went down with him. Remember watching BeepBopVox (INACTIVE) and MlgHwnt (Now streams on Twitch as Steve Suptic). Its weird how long its been since I used to watch their content. Like over half a decade at this point. Where has the time gone?
I miss redstone jazz. I watched his skyblock videos and it's a core memory for me. channel now deleted and only a few episodes of reuploads exist. he made a new channel called whitestone jazz and I think uploads again now, but I miss that series and channel so much. wish I could rewatch it again

Oh man, I remember watching this one minecraft channel back when I was a kid. Basically just a small group of people making content in my language. And then one day, when I went to see if they had a new video, the channel was just... not there... Never even found out what happened to them.
I know Kermitplays (or something like that) was like one of the first big minecraft youtubers to leave the platform. He collaborated a lot with Sly and left the platform so he can raise his child.

I wouldn’t say well. His videos only get like 20-60k views per video. Not a good look when you have 11 million subs. That’s why I wish RUclips gave the option to unsubscribe a lot of people all at once. Like if someone hasn’t seen one of your videos in 5 years, the RUclipsr can click unsub all people absent for this long. If you know what I’m getting at. It would tell how many they would be getting rid of but it would allow new audiences to see it and not old gmail accounts that probably aren’t even used anymore

Contemplating starting a series myself, I’m an engineering student and thought it might be fun to do a channel dedicated to structurally accurate builds designed in CAD - AutoCAD and Autodesk Robot - to be structurally sound and realised in Minecraft. Seems like a good way to improve my civil engineering knowledge, which is the discipline I struggle with most.

One creator that semi disappeared (now quit youtube as of July 2021) was a Minecraft Animator called Willcraft, he was the one who started the infamous Monster School series for minecraft youtube and originally created as primarily a practice project for him to get better at animating and to gain more traction than the stuff he was making before. Although he himself doesn't consider monster school a genre/format, he would also do other types of videos and he has his own unique series called Endventures. His channel would skyrocket throughout 2013-2014, however in 2015, his content was really slowing down as he was getting less and less time for videos and he was starting to get less interested in minecraft, another thing to note is that he was starting to get worried about the future of his channel (and get symptoms of depression) as he knew that if monster school ended then he would lose viewers and he also didn't want to continue it forever since it was only really filler stuff on his channel until he made Endventures stuff, so he would do top 10s and such with him inside the videos so that way the videos could be watchable, but sadly it didn't help anything. He would upload his final Monster School video in spring of 2015 and his final Minecraft video for over half a decade in October 2015. After that he would start to become depressed and less happy, he would still work on Endventures but during spring 2016 he had a breakdown that really demotivated him from making any content he put lots of effort in. He made an update video in April 2016 stating he was ok, then in November of that year he would make a more detailed update video and would say that he has quit making Minecraft content as a whole (though didn't say a thing about Endventures) he said he ultimately got sick of doing it and that he wanted to move on to making more professional work that didn't leech off a game's popularity and also get into game design. After that his content would change a lot, he started to make vent videos where he gave updates on his mental health and that he was full of depression and struggled to make Content he liked. He would also occasionally do reviews and showcase some games he made. This would ultimately continue throughout 2017 and 2018 (although Willcraft did briefly get back into minecraft animating during Late Summer 2017 but it died out very quickly) and he would get pretty low views which he liked because that meant he could see which of his audience still cared about him. In 2019 he would start making a much larger scope game called Exit The Intraverse he would make several update videos about it, he also still made vent videos and such and of course ignored any questions about Monster School. In 2021 he would then announce that he would be quitting youtube indefinitely since he didn't really see a point in doing it anymore as he would just disappear from time to time and that the content he put out really wasn't something he was passionate about, he also wanted to completely start over from scratch and get a new audience since trying to reform his youtube channel proved to be more effort than what it was worth, but he would make a final video to clear up lots of things and answer a lot of questions, and he also said that Exit The Intraverse would be put on hold since it turned out to be much larger scope than he anticipated and thus was affecting his mental health. He would also make a conclusion to Endventures and explain the rest of the story, it's also poetic in a way that his channel started with Endventures and ended with Endventures.
He also made a discord server that he intends to keep up for a bit of time and then he will close it down and only let people stay on that he really trusts will like his new content
I also decided to remake the first 6 Episodes of his Endventures series to pay a tribute to it and also make the story more complete and generate attention for Endventures again. Which you can find them on my channel. I will also be trying to animate the rest of Endventures and it's plot since it's not too much work and he also gave me some skin assets for it.
I'm glad people still remember Will. I loved (original) monster school as well as Endventures. They were some of the first Minecraft Aanimations I would watch and when I saw the copies of monster school I was so disappointed. I miss Will but I just hope he's alright.

Damn the original monster school had actual characters in a believable setting with no dialogue to get you invested on but you still get into the entire thing like ughhhh Monster School used to be so good with Willcraft and some minor animators that toyed around the idea before it stagnated and turned into an abomination

Wanna know what's sad? You have lost far more RUclipsrs than you have realized. If a fav RUclipsr just disappeared one day without any final message, you probably didn't notice for a few weeks, you might get an odd feeling that you are missing something, something big, but you wouldn't be able to find out who they are ever. The fact your mind can just somehow practically delete core memories that you cherished horrifies me. It even could have been a RUclipsr you watched religiously after school every day and be the one RUclipsr that help you through your hardest times, and you just... forgot about them. It's scary knowing how much can change and how nothing in permanent, that people can just one day disappear without any word and the fact you can just forget they existed.
One channel exactly like that was Bananapielord. I couldn’t remember until years later, and he had rebranded to music, scrubbing his old history so well that only about 100 people combined really remembered it and sought it. Thankfully, Bananapielord is back.
There's this 1 early 2011-2012 mc ytuber that posts documentary vids about mobs that I never can seem to find. Particularly his herobrine documentary cos young me never thought of him as a 'mob'

Seeing all of their skins and hearing all of their names a second time gave me a wave of nostalgia that I will always cherish.

Checking on a RUclips channel you used to love and seeing how much it's declined leaves a certain kind of emptiness that's hard to even explain. My favorite Minecraft channel way back in 2014-2015 was ran by a couple, boyfriend and girlfriend, who enjoyed playing the game together. They broke up in 2018 and I've never had the guts to even look them up since. I do NOT want to see what their channel has been reduced to. It's heartbreaking, man...

I think you left out something about TrueMU. At one point, he unlisted all his minecraft videos and rebranded his channel as a music channel. A lot of people didn't know why the videos were popping up in their subscription feeds, they didn't realise who it was. He has since put the minecraft videos back up and got rid of the music ones, and changed the channel name back.

My best guess on the timing of things according to my memory is that he rebranded to a music channel in late 2017 and then rebranded to fortnite when the music channel wasn't working out for him. Only to relist his original TrueMU minecraft videos once again.

As a kid i was really only invested in Sky (and to a lesser extent, Deadlox) but through Sky I watched most of the team crafted content and I still remember loving the Crazy Craft series Sky made with Bashur and Deadlox. Its absolutely tragic everything that happened to Bashur, he got screwed over at seemingly every turn. Finding out he died from this comment section hit me harder than I expected.
I thought it was interesting how Bajan's parody song Hunger Games was also trimmed down. He removed the section where he was giving thanks to the creator of the original song for letting him make a parody. Like why now? It's been up for years with that section included.

Not entirely sure why it got removed but i remember the message at the end of the song was longer than the song itself so perhaps that has something to do with it?
I think its because more than half of the runtime from the ending was from selling his merchandise. If i recalled in 2019 when rewatching it, he still had that ending. He used more than half to promote his BajanCanadians red and black sweater and probably decided that it unnecessary after not selling the merch anymore.

He’s really petty too. During the keemstar vs a6d thing Dream made a joke about doing Minecraft Monday better. And got blocked. He got blocked over a joke. In week 2 petezuhutt left the event because of keemstar’s reputation, and keemstar fought back claiming he only said that because he was kicked, despite the fact that Pete more than made up the minimum amount of viewers allowed to join.
Another (much smaller) minecraft RUclipsr was Moonica. Her real name was Monica and she is Tobuscus’s cousin. Tobuscus gave her a shoutout which gave her a subscriber boost, but at some point she just disappeared. There is _no_ trace of her on the Internet. It’s like her entire existence has been completely scrubbed.

I'm 5 months late but I want to mention dadsRfunny. For 1 of the first Minecraft RUclipsrs, along with Uberaxernova(when he did upload MC), the adventure of Mary and Dad were my favourite....and then they stopped uploading.

I started playing Minecraft in 2014 or 2015, a bit late in comparison to most veteran Minecraft players. There are many old RUclipsrs who I used to watch but now I don't, usually because the content got boring but sometimes because the RUclipsr did something controversial. I never actually left Minecraft during the Minecraft dark ages, 2016 and 2017 were some of my peak years, and the communities I was in were very lively!

I find it strange that in 8-10 years people like Dream Tommy and Wilbur will probably be viewed in the same way that these youtubers are now.
Prediction rant:
Albeit this new generation of mc youtubers are a lot more familiar with how youtube works, for example I can not imagine Dream or Tommy going anywhere unless they voluntarily quit or some major scandal happens that deplatforms them, they know the algorithm too well to go irrelevant. I can completely imagine Wilbur quitting youtube eventually in favor of his music career though. I feel like Tubbo might eventually go purely to livestreams, he already rarely uploads to youtube. It will be interesting to see where they end up though, I am more optimistic of their futures though because they have the mistakes of the old generation to learn from.
Even though Dream, Tommy, and Wilbur are dominating the charts, I doubt they will last forever. In the next 10-20 years a new wave of RUclipsrs (or a completely new platform) will emerge and take over the old ones, no matter how popular they used to be. The algorithm doesn’t stay the same forever and unless they are all highly adaptable to new content changes, their style of content could stop trending real quick. It’s also hard to stay motivated to create new and refreshing content over the course of a decade, so their content may very well go stale just like Stampy and SkyDoesMinecraft. Having a full time job playing Minecraft when you’re 15-20 is cool, and might be cool for the next 5-10 years, but by the time they’re 30 or 40 it might start weighing on them.
Tubbo, despite the fans baby-ing him 24/7, is actually a business-minded person. I watched a lot of his streams and he has mentioned upcoming projects behind the scene, and the stuff he's been working on. So I'm more likely to see Tubbo as the next CaptainSparklez (because I know Sparkle is more into business now and does RUclips regularly for fun).
Tommy and Dream has the biggest chance to be deplatformed seeing how many haters they have that's always watching every move they do. I can say this for Tommy because he's young and with the way he films his stuff, he might actually get cancelled if he's not careful enough with his words. (Sometimes his jokes are a bit too far). Or I can see them becoming the next BajanCanadian and JeromeASF. The kids see them, and move on to the next big thing.
Wilbur will for sure pursue music. He's already doing it and he has mentioned that he doesn't wanna waste the fame he has now if he won't do what he likes (music) immediately.
I think that dream will probably drift away from minecraft eventually to focus on music, imo at least what he has released already have been absolute bangers

Especially with how he has handled the speedrunning situation i could see that happening if he doesn't learn from his mistakes and handle drama better in the future. if he does mature tho he knows the algorithm very well so he could probably adapt his content. i cant really see tommy going anywhere rn tho, i feel like he will probably becoming a vlogging/irl content based youtuber since he's expressed interest in it and has already started doing it with pretty good success. and didnt know tubbo was like that, i figured he had a lot more of a casual approach given that he rarely uploads and tends to just stream when he feels like it from what ive seen. very cool that he is into that tho
@@mr.dawson9141 too be fair, the more recent “drama” in regards to Dream hasn’t even had to be noticed. Although I have no doubts that someone like keemstar will attempt to start drama with Dream just for clicks, because we know how he works.
NitroLukeDX is a childhood favorite of mine and he still does videos, very similar to Stampy’s because of his videos consisting adventures and his own cinematic universe.

Man, this video took me on a rollercoaster. I watched all four of these channels, but their existence totally skipped my mind over the years, and it was only through this video that I remembered them. You truly keep the community alive 🥺

There were a couple guys I used to watch a loooong time ago, one was TobiwanK3nobi, he mostly did some mega builds that were pretty impressive for the time, and also had his own texture pack - and his brother (I think?) also had a channel that was all lets plays, starting with minecraft and then expanded to some other games. And they both up and disappeared. Tobi's videos are still up, he just hasn't made a new one in 8 years, but the other guy, first made a new channel at one point and moved all of his stuff over, then changed the channel name a few times, and then I think removed all of his videos and disappeared. They were relatively small channels so I don't know how many people knew about them or would remember them, but I liked 'em and wonder what happened sometimes.

If you ever take a break from RUclips, you can do another one of these videos of yourself but get the information regarding it from sources other than yourself

I've not played Minecraft or even watched them since I was in my second year of high school (so around 2014/15) but wanted a dose of nostalgia from my childhood and its shocking to see how many have just vanished. I think the only person I heard about in the time post-2015 was Bashur cause of all the drama that went down with him. Remember watching BeepBopVox (INACTIVE) and MlgHwnt (Now streams on Twitch as Steve Suptic). Its weird how long its been since I used to watch their content. Like over half a decade at this point. Where has the time gone?
I miss redstone jazz. I watched his skyblock videos and it's a core memory for me. channel now deleted and only a few episodes of reuploads exist. he made a new channel called whitestone jazz and I think uploads again now, but I miss that series and channel so much. wish I could rewatch it again

I remember watching TrueMU back in the day, Love his Hexxit modpack playthrough, he never finished it but it's the sole reason I bought Minecraft and love his music, *Eclipse* if I'm not wrong

Bajan Canadian has started playing with newer creators like Baablu, AntVenom (on Baablu’s channel) and Bubbo (also on Baablu’s channel)
I know Kermitplays (or something like that) was like one of the first big minecraft youtubers to leave the platform. He collaborated a lot with Sly and left the platform so he can raise his child.
You really hit the nail on the head man with your intro 😭 Down to the year, the youtubers on-screen, the reason why people stopped watching, and revisiting them years later out of curiosity. Really made me nostalgic.
