Back then when war games could teach you something about historical battles and military tactics. Specificly the cod briefing videos from cod1 to MW2. Also the medal of honor allied assault briefing cutscenes.
Its very nice to see an old games take time in Civil War Era with more loose - modern tactics and fast engage. We already have a lot of strategy games - Games that turn you into commander, a foot soldiers, rank soldiers and multiplayer - with tons of player and realistic shooting mechanic like War of Rights .... but to capture a very fast and close range combat with elite and specific kinds of units (like ranger in this) are very rare. This are one of those can capture that feeling so well - so sad thay didn't improve or care more about the franchise.
There already exist Battlefield Vietnam games, Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam. BF BC2 Vietnam still have a small dedicated community playing it.
One thing I noticed is the walking/running animation for the character you play as is similar to that of Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010. In the pacific war game history channel has, the sound of the m1 garand is the same as the AR10 in Cabela's dangerous hunts 2011, and the trench gun sound is the same from big game Hunter 2010. Strange.
The hero Thomas Stonewall Jackson oh yah I was surprised when I saw him and glad in the same time all respects for him and you my friends because you I see this game for first time
An fps game set in the American Civil War that focuses on the recon, skirmishing, and raid operations is actually not a bad idea, just needs a whole lot better of execution. Hell, imagine an open world game in where you are a Union or Confederate Cavalry Lieutenant (player choice) and you conduct behind-enemy-lines operations either in Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, or along the Mississippi. You get to manage and command your scouting party (8-16 guys) and you conduct operations while engaging enemy cavalry/foot patrols. Kinda like a Civil War version of Ghost Recon: Wildlands.
Yeah a Ghost Recon/Sniper Elite kinda game about being a Berdan's Sharpshooter, or a Virginia Cavalryman would be dope. But I don't think anyone will be making games where you can side with the Confederacy any time soon.
New cod looks dope

Confederate soldiers with Yankee accents fall asleep in a church while attacking... Seems legit, but where are the aliens??
There ain't no aliens yet
@@gaminggamingtm they Were at the pyramids... You don't think they were at the Civil War? 😂
They took the day off.

1800’s era TDM, nice! I’ve this game for PS3 and played it years ago.
I low key would pay for a call of duty civil war game
Rather have Battlefield Civil War than call of duty but I’d take either. There’s so much they could do, Korea vietnam .....
You would see muskets with halo sights pistol grips etc you would regret it
@@binko969 I’ve wanted a strictly Vietnam game for years. No one seems to want to touch it.

Pretty sure they won't let you play the Confederate. Lucky if you aren't playing as black.

Considering how old this game is, i believe it was executed as best as it could be for the time

I dont think they would make a game like that. It would be like making a game where you could side with the nazis

Nice game but not better than COD
This game seems fine, but the Death Of Jackson scene at the end, has to be the worst portrayal of his death ever, hell even gods & generals was better
