I really like the idea of using a French cleat to hang the shelf. I use French cleats in my shop to hang parts boxes. But I didn't think about using them on something like that lol. Keep up the great work brother happy to see your still able to be working in the shop.
On the french cleat, I would put a small block towards the bottom of the piece so it hangs parallel to the wall. Beautiful job. I enjoy your videos and have learned alot. Thank you!
I love the project! I think I would add a spacer at the bottom of the back to hold it out from the wall (the same thickness as the cleat) that way the shelf will be plumb with the wall. My $0.02.

Hey brother ! 🫡 skäl . I appreciate the engagement with the content . I’m very glad you’re enjoying it . And kudos to you my friend you’re an absolute rock star 💫
Might want to add a piece at the bottom the same thickness as the top piece. That way it won't tilt forward and the item that is on the shelf won't slide or fall off because the shelf is not level. Just a suggestion. Oh this was 2 days ago.

Bought me one of those rubber sticks this year to clean my sanding stuff. Thought it would be a little bit of a gimmick but now I am kicking myself I didn’t get one years ago. Works a treat and is weirdly satisfying especially on the disc sander.
🫡 super happy you enjoyed and very happy the tip was useful my friend’ I appreciate your support , it helps keep the lights on . Well I like it below the angle. Yours is totally awesome. The one thing is that in my opinion. You should have darkened the lighter board a little. Just me.
If you reduce the length of your cleat and add a small strip of wood to either side you make a slide stop that keeps the piece from sliding off either side and helps to stabilize the shelf from inadvertent tipping.
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks I gotta say man I greatly appreciate your videos. I'm new to woodworking myself and so far I've made a few decent projects. Those shadow boxes sure made a few people happy this Christmas. Thanks again for the ideas and the instruction.
Yo, the Best Beard in Woodworking DIY post’s again! Nice to see You again. Maybe the shelwes are not my thing, but I watch all episodes c’ouse I like the „how to make” process. Is clear, simple and ebtertaining. Have a good day, and till next time. I started working on my spider lamp… hope to share some photos soon. Take care.
Thanks again Daniel for another great video! And great tip on the pocket holes about drilling a pilot hole in the piece you're screwing into. This weekend I tried doing that with some cedar fence pickets to make a planter, and the whole thing failed because it kept splitting the other piece! Had to revert to ripping some rough cut pine to finish the project. Plus, is there such a thing as a bad batch of fence pickets? These that I got from Home Depot were terrible to work with! When I got them, I knew they were wet (thought maybe they just brought them inside) So I let them set for awhile. But presanding was awful and when putting a screw in, the water would just run out! I kinda lost my excitement about using that type of cheap wood like everyone raves about. Hey...you have a great day!
stuck on sawdust if awesome. love the basic teaching. would you think about a level 2 video series teaching medium skills call it breaking the blade. lol. also where is the dancing
Great video! Have you tried the cubitron II 3m sandpaper? I recently switched to it and I’m blown away at how much better it is. Anyway, to end on a positive note, I'm loving this series and it is giving me so much inspiration and motivation. Keep it up!
I'm just getting into woodworking, but wouldn't it make the wall shelf more stable with the French cleat if you put a small backer down at the bottom so it will sit flush against the wall? If not it would have a little bit of forward tilt that could possibly cause it to slip off, my thoughts anyway.

Hey Daniel, love the channel! I'm curious about the saw blades you are using on your table and miter saws as they look pretty aggressive and I would like to try them out myself. What tooth count and brand are they? Thanks!
It is linked in the description of the video brother 🫡 it’s a frued thin kerf flat tooth rip blade , it’s a 10” blade that’s on my 12” miter saw just fyi lol. I also use their combination blade
Excellent Bearded one!! Quick question, if the purchaser wanted to more permanently attach it to the wall, what would you recommend? BTW, just subscribed!!!

I don't know if you mentioned it and i missed it, but when you're listing, are you offering "free" shipping and eating that cost or are they paying shipping on top of the $45?

Oh, I enjoyed the hell out of your videos. I was hate to see your shop underwater, but hopefully you’ve got all of that cleared out. Where are you located?
Thanks bro . South east USA 🇺🇸
Question… what saw Blane are you using? It appears to be the same on both your saws.
It’s in viedo description
Hi, would it not have been better to add a small 1/2 inc stock at the bottom as then it will hang parallel to the wall?
Absolutely but then you wouldn’t have commented on my video and help my algorithm… 😂 I glued a little diamond to the bottom of my frame so yes 🙌
Excellent Bearded one!! Quick question, if the purchaser wanted to more permanently attach it to the wall, what would you recommend? BTW, just subscribed!!!
Thanks my friend , I have a couple links in the description of the video on some different types of hardware ,
I would recommend maybe something like this www.amazon.com/Sawtooth-Picture-Hangers-Screws-Supports/dp/B0B28Q1VWL/ref=asc_df_B0B28Q1VWL/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=647104238787&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=75918791576460691&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9010526&hvtargid=pla-1947353164020&psc=1&mcid=3f9c0f6940203dfc8859ff7d0510d993
I don't know if you mentioned it and i missed it, but when you're listing, are you offering "free" shipping and eating that cost or are they paying shipping on top of the $45?
I offer free shipping and just pack the item with the furthest away zip to get the ship cost and just add it to the item price , .. it’s fair that way I feel , anyways , 🫡
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I've never sold anything on Etsy or shipped any of my projects, but it's one of my goals for 2024.
Keep making these Bada$$ videos!
I have most of every Craig told they have

I have tried over and over have a 60 and 30 on all at 12 1/2 each of them why in the world won't they fit together
Your miter might need to change , is your miter saw dialed in properly?
I had to adjust mine just a tad , it remember take a degree from each 30° just play with it with a piece of scrap. Not sure why it’s not working out brother , is it open in the heel or the long point ?
