    Thanks Daniel for the awesome videos. I teach woodshop for a local prison, most can't read a tape at the beginning. I look for small projects and you post the best. You're the Man, I respect the way you bounced back after the flood. You are the spokesperson for small shops, proving you can make a living without thousands of dollars in tools. I have a small shop at home that I work from. You inspire people , keep up the great work

I am humbled that you’re enjoying the content. & it’s still a bit smelly in the shop but hell I can deal with it ! I’m Just blessed to be able to get back in here and catch up on these ideas I have flooding my brain day in and out ‘ 🫡 God bless you brother and I’m happy to have you along for the journey into “stuck on sawdust “.

    NO!. Coffee first, I want to catch all the details. If my head is in the workshop all day and people get wrong parts because I'm wood thinking and not parts thinking it's your fault. Love the smell of sawdust in the morning. Keep up the good work.

    I really like the idea of using a French cleat to hang the shelf. I use French cleats in my shop to hang parts boxes. But I didn't think about using them on something like that lol. Keep up the great work brother happy to see your still able to be working in the shop.

    If you reduce the length of your cleat and add a small strip of wood to either side you make a slide stop that keeps the piece from sliding off either side and helps to stabilize the shelf from inadvertent tipping.

    Thanks again Daniel for another great video! And great tip on the pocket holes about drilling a pilot hole in the piece you're screwing into. This weekend I tried doing that with some cedar fence pickets to make a planter, and the whole thing failed because it kept splitting the other piece! Had to revert to ripping some rough cut pine to finish the project. Plus, is there such a thing as a bad batch of fence pickets? These that I got from Home Depot were terrible to work with! When I got them, I knew they were wet (thought maybe they just brought them inside) So I let them set for awhile. But presanding was awful and when putting a screw in, the water would just run out! I kinda lost my excitement about using that type of cheap wood like everyone raves about. Hey...you have a great day!

    I'm just getting into woodworking, but wouldn't it make the wall shelf more stable with the French cleat if you put a small backer down at the bottom so it will sit flush against the wall? If not it would have a little bit of forward tilt that could possibly cause it to slip off, my thoughts anyway.

All of my current sales are by word of mouth and local to me. I have not gotten into selling anything online but have been thinking about it. Hi Dan,
    Love the channel and learning lots.
    Really like the French cleat system you're providing for the fixing options. Can I ask a quick question? Would it work if you also scribed in another offcut at the bottom 60 angle to make the shelf hang flush on the wall? Thinking of knocking a couple of these up for my Mum and wondered if it would work?
    Thanks for all the epic content again! 😁

      After two hours of waiting for it to upload, I'd of gone with the comment option too!
      Thanks so much again! Looking forward to the next video 📹
      From a female woodworkers perspective, your content is insightful, funny (love guessing what noise you'll use next for your mitre saw and the film clips are just brilliant) and never boring. Always looking forward to the next instalment 👍🏻😁

    Hey Daniel, what was the bit with the shank that you used after you made your pocket holes?

    • @Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks
      @Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks  11 месяцев назад +2

      1/8” bit . That fits in an impact driver or a drill .

      @@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks Is it 1/8 quick change bit or is it something specific for pocket holes?

    Hey Daniel, love the channel! I'm curious about the saw blades you are using on your table and miter saws as they look pretty aggressive and I would like to try them out myself. What tooth count and brand are they? Thanks!

    Question… what saw Blane are you using? It appears to be the same on both your saws.

    Hi, would it not have been better to add a small 1/2 inc stock at the bottom as then it will hang parallel to the wall?

      Absolutely but then you wouldn’t have commented on my video and help my algorithm… 😂 I glued a little diamond to the bottom of my frame so yes 🙌

    I don't know if you mentioned it and i missed it, but when you're listing, are you offering "free" shipping and eating that cost or are they paying shipping on top of the $45?

    • @Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks
      @Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks  11 месяцев назад +1

      I offer free shipping and just pack the item with the furthest away zip to get the ship cost and just add it to the item price , .. it’s fair that way I feel , anyways , 🫡

      I had to adjust mine just a tad , it remember take a degree from each 30° just play with it with a piece of scrap. Not sure why it’s not working out brother , is it open in the heel or the long point ?
