I but in to in conversation too and I always tell them it's important! I have to say it now! Before I forget! Its very important! That you get this info that I'm telling you. Its So easy to be mistaken for narcissistic behavior. They didn't know what this was when I was a child, so I was labeled a slow learner with hyper activity,it's to bad there was not medications back then in the 60's.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 8 but recently after 2 years of being off meds and with 2 years of college under my belt I have figured how to overcome it. The best way to overcome it is to exercise in the morning to ward off the hyperness with in you. I ave made the Dean's list in college 4 times now and I'm focusing greatly without meds.

It's a sad reality. Realizing I have to go through all that emotional roller coaster every time I start a new project . I need to change my Habits & diet... Each day is a step to learning new ways to get over the hump that is my damaged Brain. Peace!

+Glenn D Glenn, I could have easily made your comment myself. I was diagnosed with ADD 20 years ago, and think I've made some progress. But, I still have every one of the symptoms, especially when he got down to the executive functions. That's where I started crying because I have every, single one of them, still, and they remain a major factor in my 63 year old life. Watching this video was like being diagnosed all over again. We've got to hang in there, Glenn. Just a suggestion: I'm trying medical hypnosis to avoid the drugs, and, it's helping some, I believe. I have absolutely nothing to lose trying medical hypnosis, and everything to gain. Thanks for sharing, Glenn, and best of luck to you.

Can you do a video on Agoraphobia? Over active fear? I been struggling with it for years and could never find any treatment. I am now living with my wife in Brazil (moved from U.S years ago) I also have trouble learning language and speaking. I am trying to learn Portuguese for example but the issue i have is i will spend hours on Rosetta Stone but less then a few minutes after not know what i just did. It is like it all gets wiped clean. I then start over and again lost. I dont know if maybe the Agoraphobia Fear thing is linked but these two issues i have had since i was 6. I am just curious if there is any treatment for them now. I tried the pill popping thing but most meds do not work for it and usually end up with me worse then i started. =S

Ah memory. My spouse have to keep saying similar things over and over again just because I forget what she said second ago. Reading social cues is also problematic. I often cannot read the situation. I found myself laugh in inappropriate situations at times, e.g. when meetings need serious and urgent attention. Somehow I learn to manage those things, but emotional control is the most difficult part. I am fortunate enough working as lecturer where my colleagues create healthy social environment.

ive been taken out of class a lot as a kid and been told all this bs about adhd, they told my parents i need to take pills and im thankfull now as a 17 years old adult that my parents denied giving me any medication as it had side affects, it just makes me want to break my laptop listening to people taking about how this is a disorder and everytime i come accross videos like this it reminds me to when i was in grade 1 and my teacher kept kicking my out of class and talking to my parents after school about bs, so plz if anyone here thinks ADHD is a disorder, plz dont take any medications. its bad and trust me ADHD is a gift not everyone is lucky to have. from my personal experience, when i was in grade 1 to 5 i coudnt stop moving in class and just really hyper, but now as i am 17, i dont have that issue anymore, as u get older ADHD faids away and what stays with you is the ability to be more creative and think of things no ones else can.

I've always looked at my ADHD as a female as a different type of Parkinson's for the Young on a much milder scale. I read Oliver Sacks essay on parkinsonian space and time and could correlated to ADHD, if you don't have ADHD you won't understand me. I don't know what ldopa or amantadine would do for me but I do see that high levels of caffeine make me happy and I can still usually sleep. As long as I have my daily magnesium and occasional melatonin at night

So, it seems to me that ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome (high-functioning autism) are almost the same thing. Seeing as how most people with Asperger's Syndrome are said to also have ADHD, how come are they two separate things? And why isn't ADHD on the autism spectrum? I'd really like to know the answer to this.

Why is this? and don’t agree that he is Autistic after reading ADHD and Autism. Why in the world do they want to diagnose with Autism? Can someone explain the two main differences between the two? 🤔😫😩
