My dad worked at a computer store in the mid 80s. I was in like 4th grade. What a time to be alive! I would go into his work and play on the computers there all day. I played, and beat, King's Quest (the first one) on Windows and then also played games and did some creative things with the Apple computers as well.I learned how to program a bit on the Apple IIe and started trying to make my own choose your own adventure type games. Thanks for the memories!
I grew up in South Africa. My childhood centred around the beach during the day and at night it was King’s Quest, Space Quest, Police Quest and of course Leisure Suite Larry that occupied my time. I’ve never again been so immersed in games like I was with those games. True classics
King's Quest IV was my first computer game and it captivated my family for months. Roberta Williams, you're a true legend!
So glad my Dad let us play Leisure Suit Larry when we were young. I loved all the Sierra games, but Larry holds a close place in my heart.
I grew up playing all of the Sierra games back in my younger years. But playing the Space Quest series with my Dad for hours will always hold a special place in my heart.
My Amiga and Sierra were the best of times as a kid.
I’m gonna cry. Going to the computer store to buy software. That was a highlight as a kid.
I never knew anything about sierra entertainments history, and to find out it was a couple who came up with this company is amazing to me
Space quest 2 and Kings Quest 3 changed my life as a kid!
I loved playing all sierra online games. I still have a copy of Phantasmagoria on CD. Trying to figure out if I can still play it.
I do not have any grandkids but my own kids sure do know about sierra and their games.
Jumpman and King's Quest II were the first games I played on PC. My buddy adam that lived up the street from me had a PC and we'd spend hours after school Playing the King's Quest games. Oh, and then when Leisure Suit Larry came out, his older brother bought it and they would have to keep the discs hidden from their parents 🤣
This was my childhood! I still remember being too young to type fast enough and control the character to not get shot playing Officer Sonny Bonds during a traffic stop. My cousin moved the character with the arrow keys as I typed get out of car, crouch behind door etc. Freaking Space Quest! Cmon, this doc is going to be amazing

My favorite Sierra titles were Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction, Lionel Traintown, King's Quest, Space Quest, and Torin's Passage.

Oh my gosh, Kings Quest is what got me into games
For some reason the European folklore style RPG games all halted around 10 years ago. It's hard to get into RPGS/adventures anymore.

I only ever played KQ 7 briefly unfortunately. My 11 year old self was too stupid for the game. It's a pity I was a little too young when the first games came out and didn't have the necessary hardware to play them either.

Pretty sure they sold it for $700,000,000 so I'm not sure that's what I'd call having it taken away.
Let us not forget Halflife was a Sierra game
