Understanding your own features is absolutely KEY to having good makeup. I always thought eyeliner never looked good on me and I could never get it right without looking like a 10 year old did it for me. But once I really understood the shape of my eyes, I figured out how to make it look good, although I also realized that my use of eyeliner has to be quite limited and unfancy to look good. I have large eyes that are also just slightly down turned. So instead of trying to do a big flick upwards like most girls, I have to make mine smaller and draw the line pretty much straight outward. It sounds like it might look funny, but on my eyes, it actually works and gives me that cat eye type of look I could never get before. Also I can not line my eyes all the way around, it only emphasizes the slight down turn of the outer corners. It sounds like it sucks to be limited, but really it's great to know what actually works!
Yes! I think the best way is to find a celeb with your features and use that as a guide. For example Twiggy has slightly down turned eyes and her makeup just accentuated it and the result was amazing!

the first time i did my makeup, i looked exactly the same, if not even worse. it took me months of experimenting to finally understand what i need to do for my face, it’s been 9 months since i started but i still can’t do eye shadow😐
The first time i did makeup was for freshman orientation and ahhh it was horrible 😂 shaky eyeliner, smeared eyeshadow, cheap products. The list goes on and on and I am embarrassed about it to this day
@@friyalkidane1168 Lol when I say cheap products, I meant makeup from the dollar store because I didnt have a lot of money to spend at the time so I decided to get dollar tree products and oof

Hey I really recommend cream eyeshadow for beginners. All you need to do is apply with a finger and you can blend it out with a brush/finger/small sponge. Revlon sell some nice ones for a decent price.
I hope that everyone that's watching this video knows that they are beautiful just the way they are and they don't need to "correct" anything on their face💗 Makeup can be a fun activity (that I personally love doing as well) but there's a fine line between making yourself feel good doing it and seeing it as the only way to look good, because you "corrected" all of your flaws🥺 These tips are also a bit limited to a certain face shape, so please don't be discouraged if your way of doing makeup made it to the "wrong" way of doing it list. Everyone is unique and you can decide for yourself what works best for you💗 This comment isn't meant to send any negativity, I'm just hoping that you don't feel pressured after watching this video🥺 Have a nice day everyone!
I was thinking the same thing! Couldn’t help but think of young girls watching this and hearing things like “you need to understand your flaws”. There are no flaws to be corrected. 💚

I’ve started using half as much of each product as I normally do. It goes on faster and looks better so long as I have it where I need it. I’m also a fan of using liquid lipstick for lips, blush and eyeshadow, it give a great finished look.
you dont even know how happy i am right now !! ive hated my face because its not round and cute and the makeup looks for those faces never suit me, now i know what to do and i can feel more confident while wearing makeup thank you so much for this channel ❤
This video is litteraly "How eyebrows can change a face" (btw am I the only one shook that people only start to realise *now* that makeup is actually made to beautify your features, not stamps other's features on your own face ??🤔)
Before buying makeup, I recommend you to find your skin undertone if you haven’t already. I wish I’ve known this before I buy my makeup. So you can find makeup color that suit your skin undertone. For example I have cool skin undertone so I look good in pink and purple
This is a super underrated tip. A lot od people still have no idea how differently the camera catches images compared to the real eye. I remember the youtuber Snitchery made a video on how she does makeup that looks good irl and how the makeup she does for camera is very different.
This is actually how I do my makeup cause when I was still learning, I understand that my facial structure are much different from those beauty gurus who teach you how to use make, never knew that I was actually doing it right 😂
Another thing for foundation!! If you don’t feel comfortable with tapping it with your fingers put some on the back of your hand and use a brush to apply, I like to avoid my under eye as I’ve noticed foundation+concealer+setting powder can make mine cakey or crease. Don’t pump the foundation on your brush, when it’s on the back of your hand you can choose how much to put on as you go. And then you can do the same thing where you use a beauty sponge to make it more natural. Also you can totally use more than one technique for blush and contour. Like I have a slightly long oval with high cheekbones, so I like to accentuate those however to shorten my face I kind of bring my blush/bronzer in a line. But make sure not to go too far into your face. There’s a “triangle of light” diagram you can find online, don’t bring your cheek or forehead contour into that line.
dont forget the contacts, they really make your eyes bigger and make your makeup pop. i dont use colored contacts bc i prefer my black eyes more, but just in case u guys follow all the steps and wonder why you still dont look like her, dont forget contacts are a crucial step that could completely change ur face. dont use the super dolly ones tho or youll end up looking like a cosplayer from 2015
Because of you Dear Peachie, I now know how to do my makeup and I've stuck with it ever since. People say I look different but in a good way and I guess it has enhanced my features. I've never gotten compliments this much before. Thank you, Dear Peachie. 💕

Yh i draw a lot and i find it really easy to do eyeliner and stuff. My hands are not shaky
I like makeup because I am artistic
@@mvp9 same.. i think bcs my face is not a good canvas too :/ i find it very different drawing on blank canvas like paper vs my face.. but maybe i just haven't mastered both drawing and makeup yet 😂
0:42 step 1, foundation - use beauty blender
2:07 step 3, eyebrows

3:03 eye - eye shadow

Inefective shadow step is literally me this whole timeTT, thank you for this video it's really helpfull
omg effective makeup??? this is so interesting and wow i wish my middle school self saw this! i would love to see more videos translated about this topic :)
I love how we are all sharing makeup tips and our experiences and fails in the comments. So cute
What you said in the beginning was so accurate. I apply it the exact same way I see it. We do all the steps but we look the same or even worse. I always actually thought I looked worse and in the end I didn’t have confidence so I would just wipe it off before I walked out. I want to wear make up to look different. Not look exactly the same
I rly like the eyebrows, looks so real and natural
Exactly the video that I needed. I really looked ugly even if I followed makeup tutorials but this video ENLIGHTENED me. God bless you 💯
I have tried the flat eyebrows before and I look sad all the even when I'm laughing. So yes, flat eyebrow is not for everyone.
Same I used to do straight eyebrows but I stopped after people kept asking me why I’m sad LIKE IM NOT lmao
😅 this made me laugh cos I had the opposite once - over curved brows to the point of looking shocked all the time.
@@kherenejere my friend did that once too. The tragedy of over plucked 😂
Flat eyebrows are not for ANYONE, in my opinion. They look terrible.
@@Cybeldina they look good on people who naturally have that shape
Has anyone tried it?
I am gonna try it
Edit: so I tried it and it actually does look better
I have a round face so I made an arch eyebrows
My eyes with my eyelashes curled looked so good

Just to let everyone know
Makeup won’t look your skin, there might be like dried skin on your face and your eye shadow might look a bit Cakey but you gotta remember that Makeup won’t look like your natural skin
I personally always thought that makeup was supposed to be like an airbrush until I saw tiktok of how makeup actually looks compare to what social media shows us
ruclips.net/video/sMG1nlQi5bg/видео.html ..
the first time i did my makeup, i looked exactly the same, if not even worse. it took me months of experimenting to finally understand what i need to do for my face, it’s been 9 months since i started but i still can’t do eye shadow😐
The first time i did makeup was for freshman orientation and ahhh it was horrible 😂 shaky eyeliner, smeared eyeshadow, cheap products. The list goes on and on and I am embarrassed about it to this day
@@wowpow2263 there is nothing wrong with drugstore products it can look better than high end products
@@friyalkidane1168 Lol when I say cheap products, I meant makeup from the dollar store because I didnt have a lot of money to spend at the time so I decided to get dollar tree products and oof
Same, even with full of makeup on and using eyelid tape, Ive still look the same. Not sure why, but I've always see people with makeup on, they've look different.
Hey I really recommend cream eyeshadow for beginners. All you need to do is apply with a finger and you can blend it out with a brush/finger/small sponge. Revlon sell some nice ones for a decent price.
this is SOOO helpful omg. the way ive been doing my makeup wrong this whole time. thank you!
I hope that everyone that's watching this video knows that they are beautiful just the way they are and they don't need to "correct" anything on their face💗
Makeup can be a fun activity (that I personally love doing as well) but there's a fine line between making yourself feel good doing it and seeing it as the only way to look good, because you "corrected" all of your flaws🥺
These tips are also a bit limited to a certain face shape, so please don't be discouraged if your way of doing makeup made it to the "wrong" way of doing it list. Everyone is unique and you can decide for yourself what works best for you💗
This comment isn't meant to send any negativity, I'm just hoping that you don't feel pressured after watching this video🥺
Have a nice day everyone!
I was thinking the same thing! Couldn’t help but think of young girls watching this and hearing things like “you need to understand your flaws”. There are no flaws to be corrected. 💚
Exactly, you're so nice! thankyou have a good day/night as well
There’s an amazing RUclips named Aly Art, she helps those who don’t know what technique would be best for their face shape, eyes, lips, etc. Super informative if you haven’t checked them out already!
She's amazing! Her series on kibbe types was super helpful!
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check her channel out
Thanks for the suggestion! 🤗
Yes she's the best! She really helps you understand your look and style yourself suitably, rather than trying to hide and correct yourself.
wow thats why my contour has been coming out all wrong!
this changed my whole makeup routine thank you
This helps out so much! I'll definitely try it out
this is the best tutorial ive seen. Ive been trying a lot of tutorials. But I feel beautiful after following the steps..
This was so useful I always felt like my makeup didn’t live up to girls I see on Instagram. Thank you!
omg lately ive been thinking why my face with makeup looks worse than it was before :o
i really messed up! i needed this thx!!!!🥺❤️
I tried this and it actually did very well
LITERALLY TYSM😭❤️ im a beginner since im barley turning the age my mom allows me to wear makeup and i gotta say the first time i tried it myself it looked horrible, but this helped a lot and it looks way better now
Omg ty peachie🌷💖 , I Wactched so many videos but only yours was helpful and I understood my mistakes now I'm going to try doing my makeup like u explained🌷
Thank you for being honest. Makeup isn’t ‘one size fits all’ and I’m always thankful to hear ppl acknowledge it.
People know that clothing can't really be one size fits all so I wonder why they think makeup can be "one size fits all"
the way she says eye shadow helps me mentally 💕

@@danielboyle2554 I couldn't realize what she was saying for half of the video and it finally hit me
*things I learnt from real Life*
*Use contact lenses*
*use eyelashes*
*Try learn eyeliner technic with hooded eyes*
Army!
Hooded eyes are a pain with makeup 😂😂
I realized that too. It’s hard :(
I want to try lenses, but kinda afraid too ._.
This was literally the only video that actually helped my makeup look better. Thank you so much!
The result is absolutely stunning!
Omg that transformation is mindblowing. I learnt so much from this video
I liked both actually. The "effective" makeup looks good for most occasions and the "ineffective" makeup looks kinda editorial to me.
This was the best makeup tutorial I have ever seen👍👍👍
thank you so much!
I've always felt that I just looked the same with my makeup on. This helped a lot.
This was such an amazingly informative video. Really nice to see the comparison
I’ve started using half as much of each product as I normally do. It goes on faster and looks better so long as I have it where I need it.
I’m also a fan of using liquid lipstick for lips, blush and eyeshadow, it give a great finished look.
This is a great tutorial for those who have wide-set eyes! It's important to know what your features are in order to correct them effectively
right. A lot of what she called mistakes for the eye area could be helpful for someone with close set eyes.
I'm a guy, I don't wear makeup but I still watched the entire video. It's fascinating to see the difference.
At this point, I’m just rewatching this because its so satisfying
you dont even know how happy i am right now !! ive hated my face because its not round and cute and the makeup looks for those faces never suit me, now i know what to do and i can feel more confident while wearing makeup
thank you so much for this channel ❤
This video is litteraly "How eyebrows can change a face"
(btw am I the only one shook that people only start to realise *now* that makeup is actually made to beautify your features, not stamps other's features on your own face ??🤔)
Im gonna try this weekend when I go shopping for makeup! I've new worn makeup before and I really want to learn how to do makeup!
Before buying makeup, I recommend you to find your skin undertone if you haven’t already. I wish I’ve known this before I buy my makeup. So you can find makeup color that suit your skin undertone. For example I have cool skin undertone so I look good in pink and purple
@@wolfgang3385 thx for the advice!
The way she says Eyeshadow is giving me life
it’s a robot voice saying it lol
Aye shud owe
It's the color lens that gives the most dramatic effect in this makeup style. It really opens up the eyes.
THIS WAS SO HELPFUL ✌🏻
Another tips that might help is use phone camera as mirror, this is only if u want to makeup just for pictures!
This is a super underrated tip. A lot od people still have no idea how differently the camera catches images compared to the real eye. I remember the youtuber Snitchery made a video on how she does makeup that looks good irl and how the makeup she does for camera is very different.
@@sourpuss5951 makeup for camera is cakey af ngl🤧🤣
THANK U!!!
This is really good content.
THANK YOU!! I have a event this week and I was so scared I will look horrible! I’m going to practice tomorrow and will update of this helps!
I like how you said eyeshadow so cute hehe
Gettin ready for my fan call tomorrow and I came across this. This is what I need!!!
Hi! What group are you getting a fan call from? Just curious ☺️

Please make more of this, its really helpful😭😭 love you❤️
She is so gorgeous
Thank you very much, that is the best beauty lesson i've seen!!!
Wow, just wow, i’ve been doing it all wrong.
Video: "Doing this makes your eyes look further apart"
Me, with close set eyes: "Ah, so I WILL follow those steps!"
Bro same 😂 my eyes are close together so I do everything to make sure the look further apart
Bro same I look like a sim with eye sliders on max
Same I always look so bad when I tie back my hair I always have to pull some front strands to hide the extra space
Apply a light and shimmering eyeshadow in the inner corners of your eyes it will help ✨
@@meaniiiie Yes, I always keep my inner corners bright 😊
dont forget the contacts, they really make your eyes bigger and make your makeup pop. i dont use colored contacts bc i prefer my black eyes more, but just in case u guys follow all the steps and wonder why you still dont look like her, dont forget contacts are a crucial step that could completely change ur face. dont use the super dolly ones tho or youll end up looking like a cosplayer from 2015
Because of you Dear Peachie, I now know how to do my makeup and I've stuck with it ever since.
People say I look different but in a good way and I guess it has enhanced my features. I've never gotten compliments this much before. Thank you, Dear Peachie. 💕
Best makeup tutorial hands down! Even if you follow every great makeup tip from pros, your face is unique and therefore may not achieve the same results as the next person.
i totally relate when she said "you think you look better without makeup" because yes i rather not wearing it as i look even worse with i. i really have no talent on doing makeup
Practice is important. I used to wear makeup everyday and I looked good. Then in uni I was so busy working and going to school. I rarely wore makeup. Now I feel that I don't look good with it. But it is because I lost Practice....
ah, that explains why it seemed like my beauty blender got more make up than my face did :/
Same gurl🥂😌
omg now I need to do this. I don't like wasting product because makeup aint' cheap (and I'm already being cheap with it). Hopefully, I'll also not have a hard time with making it even.
I remember following that straight eyebrow trend, then I realized it just makes my face look flatter 😐
Thank you so much for these tips, they'll be super helpful when I finally get around to trying out make up! lol
Omg ty so much!
