As a Tool fan, I feel sad when no one wants to talk to me at a party, but then someone talks to me and I want them to leave me alone
I feel you brother
Yeah I know the feeling of that
We all know that feeling.
Yeahhh I feel that...
Fuckin same 😂😂😂
The funny thing about AC/DC is someone actually asked them something like that in an interview, and Angus Young's response was "That's completely false - we didn't do the same song 30 times, we actually did it 40 times..."
I mean at least he's honest
9:52 five finger death punch.
You like lawn chairs
I honestly roasted them and my parents when I was like 4 or something saying "who enjoys all this screaming, and you'd think he needs a Tylenol after each show." Only to grow up and loving the next generation of metal haha 😅
As a Slipknot fan, I absolutely would may money to be sweat on Corey's forehead. I'm not offended when they're called nu metal tho, I'm actually quite glad they're deemed one of the faces of a whole sub genre, it's a testament to their originality
I 2nd this👋
Same to me 💀 take my money Corey
Yeah me too
Not me. I wanna be on Jim’s forehead

As a nightwish fan, they were my gateway drug to folk metal. Not only did I care enough to expand into the genre, but I think the genre ate me
Heh, they weren't even my "gateway drug", at least not alone (Within Temptation were at least equally "at fault", plus a bit of Xandria). When it comes to "folk metal", Schandmaul were pretty much my "starting point", plus some Saubway to Sally, then I saw Saltatio Mortis during one of their early live performances at a local medieval fair, ...
So yeah, while I absolutely say that Nightwish is my definite favourite band right now (and has been for about 6-7 years... I _liked_ them with Tarja, but I _love_ them with Floor), his statement here applies to me about as much as "and then he sprouted wings and flew to the moon" 🤣
Which era was your fave?
The first time I listened to a Nightwish album I thought it was silly and then I listened to it again and again and again and 10 years later I'm still listening.
Same, but now I gravitate way more towards folk metal than symphonic so I don’t listen to Nightwish nearly as much as I did back in the day (though I still really like the band).
Check out the Aztec folk metal band Cemican! They use traditional Aztec instruments as well as "metal" instruments.
12 minutes of him roasting the entire metal community, i loved it
Not the _entire_ community, that's why it's part *one.*
He only listed four of my top 20 metal bands in this one; only one in my top 10. So that's a lot of ground left to cover.
Wait, is this normal? Because my few engagements online with metal communities (forums back in they day and few people) I thought they were just toxic. Was I taking it too seriously?
@@YouAreStillNotablaze
There's a section of elitists that try to gatekeep metal, particularly promoting the anti-Christian elements and most extreme fringe subgenres as the stereotype for the genre in general.
I come across several "black metal fans" that prowl around on Nightwish reactions and bash the band, the band's fans, and sometimes even the reactor. I've encountered one in particular on multiple occasions, though he (or it) always denies ever interacting with me before.
Except for the two or three bands whose dicks are stuck in his throat, and the snot that spews from his nose as he chokes on the penis studs.
I am a slaughter to prevail fan and I didn't get roasted. It's pretty spot on actually 💀

As a Pantera fan I can say that literally anything Dimebag plays (no matter how basic) sounds like fucking magic
Fucking A right it does.

Fact.
Shows it doesn't have to be complex to be awesome
^he's right, you know
As a person with social anxiety who loves Tool ,this hurts 😅
Ha. Its OK. Most people suck anyway.
Ez solution: don't go to parties.
I feel personally attacked, got em.
Yay-I don't like Tool, but I have NOTHING against their fans. Just like I HATE rap & country, but the ONLY thing I hate about their "FANS" is the EXCLUSIVITY I sometimes encounter, such as white suburban IDIOTS who think the ONLY way to "relate" to black people is to ONLY be "into" rap!! But, of course, there are PLENTY of black people who's musical taste is at LEAST as varied as MINE, sometimes even MORE so, including some who ALSO have the good sense to hate rap.
Just remember there are at least three other corners in that room, and you'd probably find other Tool fans there.
Found this at random and subscribed after watching. I love the quick analysis of all the bands you judged in a short amount of time. Sure, I don’t agree with your take on many of the older metal bands yet it made humorous content. Introduced me to many bands I didn’t know which can break me out of my routine of listening to old stuff. Thanks.
Part 2 please! Been a metalhead since I was 8 and know probably around 300 bands by now. This was funny af. Keep em coming my dude 🤣 Also, my favorite metal band is Iron Maiden
Weirdly enough, for most German Rammstein Fans "Du hast" isn't their first pick. "Sonne", "Mutter", "Ich tu dir weh" and "Engel" are usually the ones I expect as an answer. For me personally it's "Radio", "Haifish" and "Deutschland". "Du hast" is more of an American fan favorite.
Edit: I'm not saying "Du hast" is a bad song. It's fun to sing along and goes well on parties. It's simple and catchy 👌.
Links, Engel, Puppe, Ich Will, Auslaender
Seemann. Immer
Yess. Mutter, Sonne, Deutschland, Zeig Dich, Ich will
Zick Zack guitar riffs are simple, crunchy and just down right good.
Mutter is fucked up. I love it.
“You played guitar hero didn’t you?” Yes, yes I did 😂😂😂
That's how I found out about them lol. I remember spending a lot of time on their song Through the Fire and Flames trying to just pass it lol!
They were almost on their third album when guurar hero came out, i was so surprised to see them there
Guilty! 🙋♀️
never heard a lot of these bands, but i REALLY enjoyed your take on them!!
As an Opeth fan, I appreciate your observation. And you also get a couple of non-metal subgenres in a run through of Opeths catalog
Facts man they're my favourite band ever and one of the few bands i can put on shuffle and never get bored so much diversity and great musicality

@@TheMetalTempestYTalso you forgot to mention the first two album camp vs the rest of their albums camp wars. 🤣
TOOL really hit hard and hurt for me, but it was true. NIN was same for my wife, and lifted painful memories that she is now talking to her therapist about. 10/10
This got a few laughs, and a few close to home. Well played sir.
I love the "I'm absolutely zero fun at parties" vibes of this video. Good job.
I only go into Rammstein because of my German class. We were literally quizzed on their lyrics, which admittedly was pretty ballsy of my teacher. We would listen to Sehnsucht in its entirety while working on our assignments. Again, pretty ballsy of our teacher considering the lyric content. But we were an introductory class, so we had no idea what was being said.
That's a hard one. Rammstein's lyrics are somewhat poetical (Til Lindemann ain't Bertold Brecht, but still).
cool teacher lol
I had a whole 2 hour talk last week about Deutschland with my boyfriend, who avoided the song because he feared what every german feared when the song and video were first announced and he did not dare to check.
There is so much more to them than sexual lines, if they want.
I forced my englisch class to listen to dream theater once, when out teacher had the great idea to learn the language via music. Which is a good idea in general, but damn, did they hate me. I guess this video is not wrong. :D
And then, there was this time when we had to present our favorite (german) band with song in music class. Back then I chose die toten hosen, because they have a song about clockwork orange. My teacher made fun about the song, because she never read the book. It was so hard not to come to class with a baseball bat just for fun...
@@catulusinferni8612 Hope you didn't need to use the bat. Or else the Ramones said, "Beat on the brat with a baseball bat".
Die Toten Hosen are cool. I'm not a fan, but they got some good songs. "Kein Alkohol ist auch keine Lösung". I prefer the infamous Böhsen Onkelz (the 90s stuff. Hardcore Nazis hate them, but some other right-wing tards luv em' unfortunately).
Rammstein's "Mann gegen Mann" is fun. So gay
🥰🥰🙊🏳🌈
@@cardellino5342 Well I think some people might have deserved a good punch. But nah, I wouldn't do that. I got beaten up pretty badly, they even tried to set me ablaze. I don't think I have it in me to give someone that level of fear.
I still own a lot of CDs from böhse Onkelz. They gave me a lot when I was young. They were sort of a beacon for my generation and my social class. But, they had created one nazi album when they were around 17. The first CD they ever created, and there was a lot of stupid nazi chanting going on. They later regreted it as a stupid mistake of some dumb, brainwashed kids. But, they became right idols, and never got rid of that image. The CD is still around even till today, because as you said, they are still famous amoung the right-wingers. I still feel one or two of the more adult songs, but I think when I grew out of my angry angsty teen phase and became a parent, I grew out of them, too. And also, I really felt a lot of respect for them to end their career on the highest point like they always said they would do. And they did it, that takes guts. But later, they reunited for money, because the singer was in jail for killing someone under the influence and he needed a quick cashgrab to get back on his feet. Maybe understandable, but I felt it like knive in my back. They had undone all my hard earned respect with that stunt and I stopped caring about them.
Here in germany, right winged rock is it's own big scene. I don't like it, but they exist and basically have everything: their own labels, own festivals, own subgenres... böhse Onkelz is like the mainstream band in that scene.
We have another famous pretentious right-wing tard band here, maybe you have heard about them, too. They were called Absurd. They killed a fellow student because he knew about their illigal business with black market movie copies and that one of them slept with a teacher. They framed the murder as a satanistic influenced killing and later claimed it was to "clean" the "race".
We have a lot of stupid, broken dipshits here, unfortunately...
Amon Amarth fan here.
You are pretty much right; I like them because of the melodic sound they have, the lore in their lyrics, and the way they cross - reference their songs.
He described me to PERFECTION hahahha just subbed!
The thing about AC/DC is that they stayed true to their roots while a lot of their contemporaries are no longer around anymore, they survived the deaths of two original members as well.
"I *trust* AC/DC fans."
They also admit to their songs sounding alike. I love AC/DC.
@@rizthebloody They all sound the same yet their fans can ell you the name of any song, even the deep tracks, in less than three notes.
@@conniethesconnie Oh don't I know it.

I'm still wondering how Bill Ward survived the band
This was great, watching part 2
As a Ghost fan I have to say that we are aware of the background shit. Ghost just got an entire influx of new fans from TikTok though because of MoaC and they're probably not aware. The current lineup of Ghouls and Ghoulettes are known but choose to remain partially anonymous because they want to be.
Personally, I think Korn’s dubstep album was bad ass. That’s what I like about them. They have an album for every mood.
They definitely have their fun with experimentation! I just remember that record getting SO ragged on at the time from practically every angle. I have a family member that actually introduced me to Korn very very early on in my life, and he was about as big of a fan as you could get. I remember that record coming out and it being the one he refused to collect LOL
The paradigm shift? If that's the one your thinking of it's honestly a super underrated album I really love it tbh
@@rxadk1l987no path of totality, it actually has some bangers on it. Burn the obedient, mercy within, narcissistic cannibal
@@sdmdrums9275 Yea. Narcissistic Cannibal is probably my favorite off that album.
the problem with the dubstep era was it ahead of its time and not in the way korn usually is, lots of electronic focused metal sounds like that exact album now
NIN one is actually scary accurate, when I first got into them I was having daily meltdowns and drawing disturbing stuff about my childhood trauma lmao. Also used alcohol and smoking as a distraction.
I sank into the deepest pit of nihilistic hell you could imagine. The downward spiral was all I would listen to. Then I got bored with that and became an absurdist. Now I listen to Veld and Dark Funeral among many others.
@@riftdancer1349 I still like the downward spiral, even despite its themes, is that bad?
@@riftdancer1349 Haven't even really listened to them since the 90's. Was watching Man on Fire a couple months ago though, and hearing NIN in that movie got me to listen to Downward Spiral and Further Downward spiral again. I actually think Further Downward Spiral is better. The original just doesn't seem to hold up well after being played so much in the 90's.
@@jimmym3352 You probably heard some trent music in a variety of video games. And I can listen to the broken album. almost anytime. I think the song wish could break me from a coma.
Yeah, listening in loop to NIN days were not my most glorious either.
As a Korn fan i can confirm i am indeed stuck in the 90s and yes i do pretend that 2013 dubstep album didn't happen. I was a metaljead in high school when metal was so unpopular even the metal bands didn't want to play metal anymore! A dark time indeed! Metalcore was the only one that kept it alive at that time
Metal has always been alive and thriving in the underground (and even a little above ground). Even metalcore couldn't change that.
Simultaneously insulting & hilarious! Good stuff!
Stay tuned for a Part Two coming out in the next week or so, as you all have given me a ton of band suggestions to add in, and I have some unfinished business with quite a few that got cut!

Dude this is rappid fire and extremely accurate. I know 80% of what is listed and you go beyond the mainstream bands many wouldnt even understand. All the bands I like you gave a break rather than tearing apart completely savagely. The Napalm Death piece as well as all the others cause you nailed it, was great because you are right depending on their history. First 2 albums are cream with lee dorian and justin broadrick. This covers basic stuff and many deeper bands. Great fucking video man no1 can fuck with judas priest and acdc and venom you gotta give them more credit.
I think the joke went right over your head there.
Well, to be fair, Ghost has so many lineup changes because their ghouls are all hired musicians! They're just there for touring, and it's always expected to change. Tobias is really the only one behind the band (though some ghouls do help with production)

The most hilarious thing to me is that I'm a Swede (and I'm both into and in the underground scene), which makes my relationship towards metal a little different from non Scandinavians, I think.
I was kind of chuckling nervously when...you know which bands...came up. 😁
*So* entertaining! -:)
LMAO! this is spot on!
amazed yet proud you included MCR and before veil of maya + after mega and metalica too lol
That Meshuggah one was literally too spot on
I’ve been in love with NIN ever since I got into them. They helped me through tough times and have honestly pulled me out of depression. Couldn’t thank them enough for what they’ve done for me and many others, but what you said is true as well lol!
your description of nails fans was so spot on.
I would have expected more roasting as an Alcest fan here but found myself flattered in the end.
Not sure I agree with all those but that was still funny and I love how you covered such a wide range of bands/genres
Judas priest fan here: you are correct! :)
Judas Priest will always be one of the greatest heavy metal bands...just one of the ones with a few very overrated records in their canon and people who aren't willing to dig into their deeper cuts, haha
This is by far the best one of this type and you are right, it doesn't work, no matter how much I try to erase those two albums from existence, they always come back
I laughed pretty fuckin hard. That was great! 😂
The Korn one was pretty spot on, but I loved their dubstep era. Need more metal dubstep mash ups.
Then you should props check out Sullivan king and phaseone they do dubstep and metal combos
Did you heard Watch the World Burn from Falling in Reverse? Kkkkk That dubstep part reminded me of KoRn instantly
Over me and head’s dead body, we both don’t like that album.
Honestly, I didn't like most of them much, but they confirmed my long standing theory that metal and EDM type stuff could sound great together, so I still appreciate them.
I only listened to narcissistic cannibal but the songs great imo
That nails one called me tf out 😂
Don't worry, I've always loved Nails but even I can admit they're the entry level for a lot of people that don't like normal grindcore that's more lo-fi LOL
I love this. I'm a Rammstein fan who's starting to learn German and godDAMN you were spot on.
You're the man!
Any part 2 coming? If so. Add in there Dimmu Borgir, Decapitated, Helloween, Carcass, Gojira, Kataklysm, Deicide, Scar Symmetry, Fear Factory, Sepultura, Hatebreed, Bal-Sagoth, Finntroll, Moonspell, Pitchshifter, Helmet, Kreator, Tristania, Disturbed, Katatonia, The Kovenant, Deathstars, Therion, Norther.... etc etc etc etc. LOL
Since you've mentioned Katatonia, let's add Anathema. No one has ever added them to such videos. I'm curious what might come of it.😅
The NIN one had me cackling. Good shit. Also going to recommend Type O and Alice in Chains for part 2
After seeing you roast Nightwish and Archenemy, I was tensing up for your Spiritbox commentary.
Dude you were so spot on with Avenged Sevenfold! Haha. I grew up on those skate 3 videos.
if u do a second one, if u listen to Deftones, u constantly fall for those tiktok e-girl thirst traps
LMAO, that is too hyperspecific for my liking and so damn true it hurts
🤣🤣 facts
Either that, or you're old/are around old people.
He’s right on with us cannibal corpse fans too busy head banging😂😂
He's right on with those left over, too, Corpse fans with spinal implants from mosh pit damage that are too busy making things at an increasing rate to regret head-banging
Too right! It’s been 22 years since I last saw them, and I’m going to go see them next week. Wish me luck in there, brother. 🤘🏻😃
I'm learning about alot of bands right now.
I'm new also what you think about iron maiden for the part 2?
My Reaction to the Nine Inch Nails Joke: Dude, I was like this before I was graced by Trent Reznor's voice. If anything, he's the reason I'm still alive.
Music loves to save lives, doesn't it! :P Hope you're doing well, by the way! Stay safe!
I think thats a lot of us in the industrial scene sadly. Thankfully ive been jamming without junk for 6yrs, but industrial stomps forever!!♡♥︎♡
Who wouldn't want to go for a beer with corpsegrinder he's chill asf
What the fuck are those riffs in the background? It's a BANGER!
It's a free playlist I found on RUclips for background music!
@@TheMetalTempestYT Well shit don't leave out to dry now, what's it called?
Imma recent fan of your channel, for awhile the only guy I'd watch is CoverKillerNation but he retired, and Goniloc. Imma fan because your just SPOT ON with labeling the types of fans of whatever band you're talking about. I love finding content creators like you because like I always say "Metal is the gift that keeps on giving." I thought I knew about metal but HOLY SWEET BABY JESUS, you're bringing up bands I've never even heard of. Like Intestine Baalism: Banquet in the Darkness. That hits different. Your channel gives me another reason to fall in love with this genre all over again. And.. I understand I'll never know ALL that is metal, but hey I like to be surprised and this genre of music? Endlessly provides.
Man... I just love A7X. Also, I can't tell if I want you to do or Ice Nine Kills or if I want you to avoid roasting my favorite band.
LOL. You came out swingin. That was funny. I've evolved through many metal journeys and spent a lot of time absorbing a good number of those bands, so those jabs landed and made it so much funnier. Well done. \m/
LOL, had to put my knowledge of this niche for a decade plus at this point to good use! Glad you enjoyed it!
Can we throw a Sleep Token in there as well?? 😂😂 This was great
This is the type of content im on the internet for
This is the video that people needed- i was very sus about you and your channel due to your early stance on brcc, and i think being a little sus is healthy, but this video is absolutely on point.
