  • Blind reaction to another follower wedding horror story.
This one is a big "yikes"...So many red flags, so many missed communications, and so much entitlement.
Tell me what you think about it in the comments!

I imagine if they moved the date that close to June, the girlfriend will call off the wedding knowing she manipulated everything.

The girlfriend is a flaming narcissist...she's lucky I wasn't at that party as I would have called her out for being an insensitive (bleep). I would have wished the younger brother luck as she will only get worse with time...when she does, don't say I didn't warn you & no, I don't think I'll be attending their wedding as I don't want to be a part of the debacle that will become their marriage.

Wow, just wow. Ticks all the boxes, golden child, forgotten child, enabling, gaslighting, privilege. Hope the fiance to be... (not even asked!!! Ffs!) Turns him down and says maybe in two years. 😂😂😂

My brother and I were married 6 weeks apart and it worked out so well. His wife was my MOH and all of the rest of us were in each other wedding. We had a year and a half engagement and they had a 6 month one, and she was so set to pick all their stuff because she went to almost everything with me (to pick out flowers, venues, etc). I'm so glad neither of us were as petty as this mess was. What a joke from the brother and gf, but even fiancé.
We even did 2 bouquet tosses at my wedding, the first one we stopped it and I handed it directly to her as a sign of my love and happiness for them.
They just celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary last weekend and mine was back in May 💖

My sister and our cousin got married in the same year. My sister and brother-in-law had a baby that year, and their wedding was scheduled for the end of July because my brother-in-law would be leaving for Navy basic training the next month.
My cousin moved her wedding from September to May because she's older than us and was already upset that my sister had the first grandchild, so she insisted that she needed to get married first.

So.... this actually happened to me and my husband too. We didn't change our date, we stuck with it, but they ended up getting married two weeks before ours and my poor mother-in-law had to plan two luncheons because my husband's brother so desperately wanted to get married around the same time we did even though they were engaged two months after we were. Pretty much, this story is a blow by blow of exactly what happened to us.

My husband and I set our wedding date a year out and let everyone know. That Christmas my Nephew announced his wedding for two weeks before ours. ??? I mentioned it to my sister and her comment was...Oh? You were serious? I was shocked. Both weddings were nice anyway.

Ooof feel like this is my SIL. We were at another family member’s bridal shower. The WHOLE time she is talking about her wedding planning and what she wants for her bridal shower. Even taking pictures of stuff this bride (her cousin) was doing at hers and texting to her MOH. I was engaged at this too, planning a wedding too and honestly just really avoided answering questions about our wedding and just trying to bring to focus back to the bride they were supposed to be there for.
SIL was constantly throwing a fit during the wedding planning process because our weddings were within months of each other.
She then was mean and cold when we announced we got pregnant…until a month later when they got pregnant.

I guess I should be grateful that my brothers (oldest > youngest 4 year spread) and I all had weddings in different decades (4 weddings total. And yes my daughter is old enough to be the mother of two of her cousins).
