Quick question on the audiobook if anyone happens to know. Will the Secret Project be available on audible outside of the Backer bundle, or do you HAVE to add the addon through Backer to get access to the audiobook on release? Already pledged so trying to figure out if I need to go back and edit it to add the audiobook.
I believe it should also be available on Audible outside of the campaign, so if you've got credits you want to use for it then you're good. Not sure what the timing would be on that though.
Ended up splurging on the 325 pledge and adding on the coin folder and the mistspren plushie. I'm so, so, so happy they added in the coin folder as I'm still kicking myself I didn't buy the wooden coin holder and can't find anyone selling one (even for markup). At the announcement of the new secret novel I actually, out loud just screamed "Brandon!" I swear, he doesn't sleep. And I want that power, maybe I'd actually finish one of my own projects, lol

NEWB HERE. Obviously this question is null and void because the opportunity to acquire one has passed, but I was really curious then, and still am now. What exactly is a "numbered" copy of the leatherbound? And why is it a hot ticket item?
They don't have everything 100% finalized for the swag boxes, but barring any disasters everything will be new. Including the boxes themselves; they don't have anywhere near enough leftover boxes from the Year of Sanderson to reuse them for something like this.
Kinda feel like now all his projects are secret projects. If this guy starts getting movie and tv deals I feel like he'll quickly take over Stephen King in networth lol
He's said before that he'll only be doing crowdfunding for the Stormlight leatherbounds, but so far it seems like the plan is to have an official "Sanderson Curiosity" release as well as another novella or something. With Way of Kings we got Dawnshard, and for a while we were hoping for Rock's novella, but Brandon said he was saving that. So, probably!

I just got my first creditcard to pay for this campaign haha 😂 I have the money, but I live in a country where I can pay for everything using direct deposit or debit card. I borrowed my moms credit card for the kickstarter last year, and I just could not tell her im spending hundreds of euros on books again so soon 🙈
The numbered versions will be randomized, so you'll have to scour all the Sanderson groups once everything is shipped in order to find a certain number. Good luck!
The words of radiance back up project was a joke. He still has not honored the $350 backers. He has only fulfilled the highest level backers and he refuses to give updates. Brandon Sanderson is a joke and I will never give him a dime for a special edition ever again

They write a unique number in next to the signature. It just makes the book more of a collector's item.
Mr. Harkey is correct; the number makes it more exclusive and collectible. Sometimes they even do lettered copies, which are even more rare!

man i am from SA and this is my first Backerkit i Bought and I got say it will be Incredible, but the shipping price fells like a stab on the wallet
Sadly there's not much Dragonsteel can do about it, it's due to the price the international shipping subcontractors are charging.
Shipping sucks. They're doing their best to get it as cheap as possible.
Is dragonsteel prime cannon?
It is not. Large swaths of it have be taken and used in other books, so it's just a behind-the-scenes developmental peek at what could have been.
Weird that The Way of Kings Leatherbound isn't offered as an addon.

I'm just getting the SP and Daragonsteel Hardcovers. It's still gonna hurt the wallet but it's gonna be worth it.
Also Sanderson said the new book was going to be around 120k words. So about 400 pages I think?
