The length of Cat's Cradle String Loop depends on the person. You measure it from where your thumb is connected to the palm and go around the back of hand and come back where you started with string. You need to go around your hand like that 7 to 8 times. I have questions to you. (1) What kind of shape do you have at the end? (2) When you followed through the tutorial, did you compare what you have with what I do in the tutorial video? (3) Wasn't there some process you weren't totally clear in the tutorial? I will try to help you!
I'm guessing that you finished in the middle of the process. There is part which looks like two diamonds, but you need to follow the tutorial after that to the end. This is not easy Cat's Cradle, so you need to follow the tutorial precisely. My advice is to watch the tutorial and follow it step by step. I hope it will work. Good luck!
