This is an absolute work of art. It's funny how music nowadays lacks that finesse, that concise, yet melodic precision. Now it's just kathunk kathunk and kathunk.

Ft. Hood Texas 1978, was the 1st time I heard this song. I immediately went and bought the album. Really ticked off the twin brothers in our room, who were devout Dead Heads. It only took a few days of us blaring this album for the rest of the guys to come around & start jamming to it with us. I remember how we talked about how different the music was. I wouldn't trade my Military experience for anything, nor would I trade all of the music I experienced from rooming & working daily with very good men from all parts of the U.S. as well as some other countries. Please pray for & remember those service people & first responders alive & those who gave all & all of the homeless Veterans on the street & suffering. May God Bless America.

The orchestral and concert band instruments add so many neat parts to this piece, just a gift from the band. I worked with a guy who mentioned one time that he was a fan of Supertramp so naturally I started bringing up some of their gems and he was not familiar with this gem, School, Hide In Your Shell etc... I learned that he was really only familiar with B in America and sighted Child Of Vision as his favorite. Good track but obviously not a hardcore fan of their catalog. The worst part of it was that I would periodically ask him if he had listened to these select tracks and he never did. What can you do? Lead a horse to water blah blah blah...

When it came to their brilliance Supertramp never had too concern themselves with making unnecessary " Overtures " too their fans in order of seeking confirmation from them !!! From Adrian 1965
