You really do not have to apologize for products that do not work. These products cost us sooo much money we need to know the problems before we plop down big money. Thanks for this!

I love fails videos. I don’t find them negative. It really helps me curb unnecessary spending.
I bought a nude beauty blender and I’m not impressed. Try the Flower beauty sponge! It’s my favorite!

Not just to waste money, which is important, but also to see we're not the only ones to wonder why, when we splurge on a hyped product and it doesn't deliver anything special. A dose of reality =/= negativity.

Beauty blender got greedy and probably cheaping out their production. I never considered to pay so much for a sponge. Real techniques is good and have deals often. The fenty concealer is awful for dry textured undereyes, I could not wait to return it asap!

So glad that I'm not the only one that noticed that the texture of the BB has changed! Not only that, but it's smaller in size as well. I have an old nude BB and bought a new one to replace it. The difference in size is remarkable.

I dont know if you have tried this one but the Sonia Kashuk sponge is just amazing, I used to only use beauty blenders (I just do not like the real techniques sponge at all) one of my other favorite youtubers (Michelle Wang) uses it and I finally bought one a fee weeks ago, it is so soft and its larger size makes putting on foundation easier

It is unfortunate that the Becca powder no longer works and that they never responded to you when you reached out to them. I think that I am the only person on earth that has not tried Beauty Blender. Looks like I probably never will since you said the texture has changed. I have considered trying The Beauty Blender setting spray tho. That packaging is too cute. Thanks for the heads up on all of these products! 👍🏿

Beauty Blender has to be the most overrated and over priced for what it is type of product. So many more affordable and better alternatives. It soaks up foundation like crazy and when you wash it bleeds dye. Tbh I don't think it ever was a miracle product. It was just more unique 5 or 6 yrs ago. Now it is like $20 for something I need to replace so often...why?

LOVED this! 👏🏼 Hope you decide to continue with this format.🤞🏼I too got a N.D. mini eyeshadow palette, only mine was in “Camel”. I really love the natural colors, but I find that I’m not reaching for it like my other palettes and I think it’s because of the texture. It’s just not buttery smooth like others I have, so there it sits. Seeing this video makes me want to try it again today.🥴 Good to see Luke, sure hope he’s feeling better? 🐶♥️xoxo Happy Sunday!

I am loving the Sonia Kashuk makeup blender! As for that Becca powder mine did the same thing. I was in my ULTA one day and there was a Becca rep so I asked her about that powder just suddenly stop feeling cool to the touch and she told me that's how the product is, that it was never meant to stay cooling to the last drop of powder.

Becca finally made a mini size of that powder. I wonder if that one would would stay cool until it's used up, since it's so much smaller. I loved it at first too, but once that cool, hydrating effect is gone, it's not a good powder at all.

The Sol de Janeiro lip balm is very soothing and healing, not to mention has the most delicious smell. I went through severe, painful chapped lips for about 4 months. I bought lots of products that did not work. I tried this on a whim and it worked wonders, within two weeks or so and I was back to normal. It’s well worth the price tag-i just hit the bottom and will be repurchasing.

I always choose that one over my Beauty Blenders! That’s how much I like it! You should give it a try! (And, of course, you can return it to ULTA if you don’t like it!)😁 You do a phenomenal job, and you’re gorgeous! Thank You and God bless you!!!!🙏😘

The pink loreal sponge , the light purple flower beauty sponge and the red /black marbled japonesque sponges are all great. I had the same problem with my beauty blenders , I ordered a black and a pink during the last sale and ended up returning the pink one ,the black one seemed okay at first but it ripped after the third time I used it 😿 I'm done with B.B. The NARS climax mascara was a MESS for me as well ,it flaked more than any mascara I've ever used , a couple of hours in i looked CRAZY!! You're helping someone dodge a bullet on that one.

I preordered the Super Spomge. I gave up on the Beauty Blender a few months ago. I heard some good things on Super Sponge on RUclips and am not disappointed with this purchase. It has a coat of silicon around it and foundation does not sink into the sponge and it is easy to clean. The flat end of the sponge is a tradition sponge,; good for smoothing. I found I used less foundation since there is no waste with it. It also cleans up easily.

I really appreciate your honesty! Thank you for that! I personally have fallen in love with the deep red ELF sponge. It is always soft. It washes out really well. It has the shape I personally prefer when using a cosmetic sponge and it’s easy on my wallet. I won’t be going back to the beauty blender. Why should I when there are better options available? I also love the Sonja Kashuk grey and white swirl cosmetic sponge. Not the huge flat bottomed one; the sponge that has a similar shape to the ELF sponge that I described above/earlier. It is awesome! It washes out wonderfully as well!

Shopmissa AOA Beauty Sponges! I've ordered them twice and they are fantastic. I clean them with the ELF Solid Sponge Cleaner which is like $4 at Target and the best thing I have ever used to clean a beauty blender type sponge with. Oh and Shopmissa has these egg holder thingys for sponges. Everything is $1. I bought 4 of them. They are great for having a place to put your sponge so it's not rolling off your vanity and a nice place for them to air-dry after you have washed them.

The same thing happened to my Becca Hydramist powder. Very disappointing. I have to say I absolutely love the ND mini Star palette. I get the nicest eye looks and it blends like a dream. The Wander beauty powder is a fantastic product. You can disinfect it by spaying it lightly with an alcohol spray and letting it dry for a few minutes. I think the negativity people dislike (at least this is true for me) is the kind that is over dramatized and not really informative. Also, negativity toward people can feel mean and done for the sake of marketing drama. This kind of video is honest and helpful so very important. I have wasted SO much money on products that don’t work for many different reasons. It’s good to be informed about potential product issues.

regarding concealer - I wouldn't use any random concealer under the eyes anymore - no matter which brand. don't know about the younger women, but it does make a huge difference, if a concealer has been created to do something anywhere on the face or if it was made directly for the undereyes - esp. if they claim to be line smoothing. I can give you an example of two concealers in one brand that shouldn't be mixed up. both are from clinique - one is an airbrush concealer - great to even small spots or decoration areas with that one. the other one is the line-smoothing under-eye-concealer. that one is a thicker consistance and it works great, if you apply little. distribute it a bit (finger or fluffy concealer brushes - you know, those rather small dense and round synthetic brushes) and then - no matter which product you use under the eyes or the lid - you tab it with the fingertips so that everything smooths out. even if you would see something greasing after a few seconds, you tap over it and it will stay even - not dray out etc. the airbrush concealer is not good under the eyes at all. but to be honest, it is not advertised like that. I don't know about fenty. but I bet the retouch word in the name I would take as a hint that it's strong side is, that it conceals spots, redness, blue colour coming from veins etc. By the way, I also tried and loved the maybelline undereye concealer - and yes, I used their sponge. but I would stop using it after 6 month although there was still product in it. that is, because I am very sensitive. I have to go with the recommended use up dates. the clinique one is more for sensitive anyway. that one I can use till to the end. as I only use it under the eyes, it lasts really long time. not sure how long, but I am sure, longer than 6 month.
(interesting thing I would like to share, my friend, who works for estee lauder and is specialized in all clinique items always told me, I wouldn't need a concealer under the eyes. I should use one of their foundations, that one, that has foundation and concealer attributes in one. If I would find the exact match (which he did find me - at least for the time outside the core summer season) it would be enough to use foundation only on the middle parts of the face and in-between the eyes plus under the eyes.why? he always stressed out, it would suit the eyes better because it has less colour particles than a thick concealer and therefore would rather not enhance lines. as I don't always like to wear foundation, I barely could use that up. so I looked directly for concealers. he was really surprised when he once saw me, complemented me for my looks while assuming I would wear that foundation, as I told him, I would use that other concealer. I bet, it is because I always even the surface out by tapping a bit, after application. I think, no matter which one is used, that is really important. one shouldn't dismiss a product for the eye areas too fast. better try to work it in and then see, if it holds better that ways. not only for the moment, but throughout the day. I bet, most of the time, it works. of course, if something is drying than it is just that. nothing would help with that)

Really enjoyed this, thank-you! I have been using for a long time the Beauty Junkees soft blending sponges. I find they do a great job for make-up application - and I wash them every day and they last ok too. 2 in a pack and I think they are a great dupe for the beauty blender x

It’s not negative - I like watching these types of videos - it’s important to know what doesn’t work and WHY - only seeing favorites makes me wonder if something was tried and just not talked about, or if you’ve never tried it to give an opinion. My favorite videos are dupes and things that aren’t dupable, worth the hype (or not), and things to try from higher end brands that people might not know what to start with (kind of saying what’s worth the hype).

I really enjoyed this video. Please do make more of these. I don’t think of them being negative but informative. I trust your judgement on products and know you are giving your honest opinion which means so much these days. You are saving us time and money on purchasing products that don’t live up to what the brand is saying about their products. While it’s true, that we have different skin types..oily/dry and different coloring we can make allowances based on your opinion. You brought to our attention a lot of products that won’t work for anyone. Thanks again.

love watching these kinds of videos too!! they’re so helpful especially when we share skin types and a lot of preferences.
for a beauty sponge the ones from shopmissA are just fantastic! their pawpaw blender and their mochi blender have the most amazing feel and they donate some of the already super good price to different charitable causes 😻

Completely agree on the ND mini palette. I bought it b/c of the Dragonfly color and when I could get it to lay down it was a yucky rust color. The Pat McGrath mini eye shadow palette FAIL has permanently steered me away from "cheap" mini palettes from Sephora at this point. Obvs the formulation of these minis is sub-standard, IMO. Hate throwing money away. For cheap mascara; I bought the Revlon So Fierce mascara due to RUclipsrs recos. It's just meh. The Maybelline Total Temptation is awesome but it does seem to splatter on my eyelids occasionally. It seems to wear well, too.
