@@DennisSchmelz You have just begun, and its good that you started from "the end", you've seen the celebration of final truth, i.e. death. Now you need to witness celebration of life also. You need to visit Mathura/Vrindavan for Holi, Anandpur Saheb for Hola Mahalla, Maharashtra for Ganpati festival and Dahi Handi, Kerala for Thrissur Pooram, Gujarat for Garba, Bengal for Durga Pooja and Ayodhya for Diwali, Varanasi again for Dev Dipawali. These are just a few famous festivals, and there are still more at many places. Your hunger for photography will surely get saturated in India. I remember the title of a book by famous journalist Sir Mark Tully - " No Full Stops in India."

Ok, i remember now something I missed in above comment.
If you're an artist (of any sort), and you haven't visited Khajuraho, your journey of art remains incomplete, and you can only understand the value of this statement once you visit there, because if you have missed something, you'll never know what you have missed. Imagine a place where you find a thousand Mona Lisas... carved in stone... and. their magical smiles taking a new look with change of every degree of angle of your camera.
By the way, I'm just a layman, not an artist, still I'm confident of my view, if I can find this sea of art so impressive, i just can't imagine how much joy and satisfaction will it give to a person involved in arts, to a connoisseur.

What an amazing video Dennis! I have myself never visited Varanasi but man I get chills seeing those shots. I'm an Indian myself who has grown up with a very western mindset when it come to the things I'm chasing in life and trying to build a good life and only the last two years have been phenomenal in understanding my own culture. The part in the video where you ask the question 'did she live a good life?' 'was she happy?' is such an intriguing question rather, like I started asking myself due to life circumstances these questions that 'what does a happy life look like really?' What came to me was happiness is a very Western concept and I then turned back to understand what goes on our in most of the Indian minds and what our culture advises is that we live for our karma and dharma, dharma as its explained is doing our duty. So, I assume she must've done her duty (whatever that would've been) while her time on this planet Earth and if she did it with honesty and integrity that adds onto her either good or bad Karma which is carried on this life and the next so it's all a chain of the life cycle. And in India we also believe in the concept of re-birth which is also something very deep which basically means we'll be reincarnated again to live another life and we cannot really live it all or do it all in one life in co-relation to YOLO western concept of living life. I've realised that's also one of the reasons why Indians are so kind and try to do good to other humans because of the Karma and Dharma mindset (not considering the bad things that happen here cuz of modern day problems like poverty and that follows on) It's something I've also started to learn more about my own country's culture and philosophy of life, it's giving me more life and meaning than ever! Jai Hind!

@@DennisSchmelz Sorry for misunderstanding was asking from monaseum girl. Great video one thing about varanasi it's really unique city it's the most holy and sacred place in the world can also say global spiritual capital but not just long ago varanasi also was the place of greatest thugs in the world. It's like Varanasi has universal character like positive and negative exist side by side so is sacredness and thuggery or good and evil like it's two parallel side of Ganga river which runs along time immemorial
