i went to singapore when i was a child, there was a chinese girl letting me use the slide first at the playground but the way she said it was like ' let malay go first' or something along the line. so i was like okayy. weird sentence but who cares? now looking back, i realize that she saw me as a 'malay' rather than 'a random girl'. like u dont let people go first just because the person is malay? she meant to be nice ofc.
but it is kinda dissapointing bcs when i was young, i never really thought abt seeing my friends as some certain race or any different from me

Karim Khan there's recounting one's own experience with a particular person, but branding the reason they acted that way was because of their race is the very definition of generalization, stereotyping, and racism.
He had a deadbeat dad, but not all Malays are going to be like that. Get it?
Plus, what the heck does religion or 'the truth' have got to do with the conversation? Check yourself before you wreck yourself boy.

    • @harizmaloy4204
      @harizmaloy4204 7 лет назад +45

Karim Khan boy you just don't get it do you.
A lot still does not mean majority. And it still does not mean that they are that way because of their race.
'Majority of Malays are deadbeat dads' is simply a racist statement.
Also, this is not a 'Disagreeable Point'. It's not a point period. Haresh's videos are meant for you. Watch them and REALLY understand what he's trying to say. Casual racism is still a bad thing.
And again, when the heck did Islam come into the picture? Are you ok dude?

    I've once helped an uncle.
our local non-malay fellow coutryman over at jb.
his car got some problems at b-point.
so my friend and i decided to helped him out.
    when we approached him,
he spoke to us in malay,
it was in malaysia so he assumed we're (my friend and i) are malaysians.
but we kept conversing to him in english.
we then offered to send him back home to sg as his car broke down.
then he knew we are Singaporeans,
    he then asked,
    "You got spare helmet ah?"
    HALLOO?!
YOU THINK MALAIREN BO LUI BUY CAR AH!
    HALLO HALLO NOT Z10 okay..

Also this might just be a Malaysian thing, but I personally feel offended by the dikir barat part because that is *our* culture, not just for Malays! Didn't you ever do dikir at school?? Aiyah you guys hahaha.

Im study in Chinese tadika ,chinese primary school n chinese secondary school the problem why we were like breaking apart is because some of the parent that have a hatred in other religion is teach/brainwashed their child to hate other religion and this kind of behaviour will spread to other n with non stop, so thats why we Malaysian beside Politik make us breaking apart i think this is the cause malaysian not bersatu padu, we see each other like we are some of the foreigner or something but im grateful my ex secondary school is againts racism and change all of the behaviour in chinese, malay and indian students in perspective/positive view// btw i have more chinese friend and i will always talk to them about my religion so they can understand and other people

I hope that more people do a documentary on discrimination against chinese muslims in singapore. I am a chinese muslim. My race is teochew. I converted to islam because i felt that it was the truth. However many of my family members ostracized me because i had " turned malay". I felt secure and support from the malay-muslim community in singapore. I hope people can do a documentary about how chinese muslims are estranged and ostracized by the non muslim chinese community in singapore. Many of the chinese muslims in singapore have mostly been accused of having " turned malay", just because we felt that islam was the true religion. I hope many people can do a documentary of the problems faced by chinese muslims in singapore. The malay-muslim community has always been supportive of chinese muslims in singapore, but not so with the non-muslim chinese. Enough said.

He said his colleague labelled him as playing the victim card just because he told his colleague that he was discriminated at work. (which he really was after hearing him out.) Whenever I read forums, I noticed alot of people like to use the phrase "victim card" alot and shrugged it off too.

I know some of the chinese people they just hate on malays because of their race nothing else. No offense to anyone else but we shouldnt judge someone based on their races but their attitude. There's many time i met Chinese who are just full on asshole but its not like they are the only one doing this. Because even though this video is a comedy, sadly some will still take this seriously and ending up hating the other races regardless of the people they're facing. Blind hate is the worst. Its what led to conflict and in the end war.
