So glad I have to pay money to buy Bosch wipers and then sit here and watch an ad on the how to install the wipers I already bought so Bosch can make more money off of me.

I also came to this video hoping there would be instructions to taking the blades off. Since there wasn't, I fiddled with it long enough to figure this out. 1. Pull blade arm out so blade is perpendicular to the car. 2. Turn the blade so it's now parallel to the car. 3. Grip blade with both hands and push and with enough force, the blade will snap out of the hook. 4. If you still can't get it out, break the bracket until the blade gets loose and comes off.
David Hayashida I can’t thank you enough for posting these steps on how to remove the wiper blades off! It took me almost an hour to search all the videos but no one could explain the exact blades that the car has! After seeing your comments, it took me about 5 seconds to take it off! Thank you sooo much for saving my life!
Thank you so much, David Hayashida, the first 25 or so vids I watched always portrayed the "just push down on the tab" style, or some other fancy pantsy hookup, wasting about 2 hours that I won't ever get back. Thank you for explaining it in 3 easy and simple steps. Perhaps you should make a vid yourself!😀

My dumb ass still can't do this
After watching a whole lot of videos that didn't help I decided I'm gonna just break that bracket. This boosted my confidence. I'll buy some beers and toast to you for saving me some mechanic cash.
Helpful hints : Put a heavy bath towel on your windshield to prevent it from cracking if the wiper arm should accidently fall on it. Dab a Q-Tip in some petroleum jelly or WD40 and coat the inside of the J Hook. This will make it easier to slide the wiper blade into place.

Used a 26-40526 on my 2009 Vibe driver side. It took me about 3 times fitting it until it finally clicked.

If any of you are struggling to get the old wipers off your car, here's how to do it. First hold the wiper blade arm and flip the wiper blade in the opposite direction. Look for a small plastic tab on one end of the wiper blade hook mount. With your finger, pull the plastic tab outward and pushing the wiper blade assembly toward your windshield. This will allow you to remove the wiper blade assembly from the hook arm. Note: When replacing your wiper blades, be aware that on some cars the passenger side wiper blade is a different length than the driver side. Hope this helps.
It's not often that you see instructions that are more complicated and confusing than just figuring it out yourself.

Got my SteelTech 28" at Walmart. I've tried multiple times to put them on a Nissan Altima, 2010, and I'm flumoxed. I am starting to think that I'm missing a piece. Neither adapter fits the "J"-hook. The pictorial instructions show popping some piece out and reversing it and putting it back in, but the only piece looks like an other bracket to accommodate the width of the "J". Is there supposed to be an inner portion with the retainer/spring to fit the slot in the "J" arm?
My hook doesn’t point up straight so I can’t get the blade straight to put it on like that?

You missed the bit where the clip snaps and you spend 2 days trying to glue it back together because it's the 2nd time it's happened and the first time you ordered what looked to be the right wiper but wasn't so you tried to use the adaptor from the wrong one when the new one broke immediately only to find that it works until it rains where it comes off after 2 swipes so you look online and find a video of someone clipping it on while the glue dries and write an angry comment about your experiences and how you found the video and how you wrote a comment on that video about your experience and-

I had the same confusion; determined the plastic piece was not needed on my 2007 CR-V wiper arm. The minimal instructions show it used on a wiper with a different size hook arm.

My hooks go in the other direction which made it a little difficult to figure out, but after I did I felt stupid
I got the correct wiper, but these instructions irrelevant for my 1997 Merc C-class. The clip and adapter need to be separated, and then rejoined when the wiper is in place.

I know this is like forever old just got a pair installed perfectly and it had a malfunction and almost cracked my windshield and could have caused me to crash in the heavy storm I was in. Hopefully Bosch sees this

Hi. I’m in the UK and just bought Bosch wipers. The drivers side has what I’d call a wind deflector on it. It’s fitted on the bottom and I wondered if that was correct for a right hand drive car?

I took wiper back to the shop who confirmed it did not fit the design of the window and replaced it with another type.

Got it! If your j hook doesn't retract enough, just put the wiper in on a different angle and to click in you need to push harder than you'd think. Hard enough you think it'll bend, but it won't
This was what did it for me, they only slide on one obvious way but you have reef it on hard.
I wish I watched this first as I broke the flipping thing

Same issue as Marc noted below, these don't work with 2010 Nissan Altima.
Didn't work on Toyota Matrix. The clip was too tight and didn't fit in the hook. Tried to force it. Broke the clip. Can't get it off. I will drive to the store and make them take it off and install a different one. They've put another brand on for me before. It seemed to go OK. That's what I get for trying to be an adult and do it myself. I'm usually very handy. Hope it doesn't rain.

HEY BOSCH. HERE'S A THOUGHT. HOW ABOUT INSTRUCTING HOW TO GET THE OLD WIPER BLADES OFF FIRST!

To remove an old one just use a flathead screwdriver to break apart all the plastic bits by twisting the tabs until they snap. There's no point in trying to to save the internals for something that's going in the trash. Standard safety disclaimer: wear eye protection and hand protection and a biohazard suit and a self contained air supply and have a year's supply of canned food and 10 fire extinguishers within 10 paces before attempting
Now if only there were instructions on taking the wiper blade OFF!!!

Ive fitted the bosch with a spoiler on drivers side but the spoiler is at the bottom, doesn't seem to look right. Is it meant to at the bottom or top?
Hi, my wipers came with spoiler and the spoiler is at bottom. Looks right to me.
also doesnt work with 2010 sentra, and 2012 Honda fit. Passenger side works, drivers doesn't.

The video is upside down. Your hook faces windshield and blade should face the windshield as well.

Just horrible! I watched this video 3,233 times and every time I woke sticky, broke, and naked outside Rammstein Air Field. Either I really enjoy that feeling or I should hire someone to replace these wiper blades for me
Bosch wipers for hook are not that good at all as the small it of plastic inside easily breaks. They have made it purposefully this way so that you break it and rebuy it. Quite a flimsy mechanism but most people will buy bosch just for the name. Very poor build quality imo.
My blade's attachment snapped when installing. Shoddy quality.

I went to watch this video to see what I was doing wrong because it keeps falling off and it’s going to screw up my windshield. Turns out I did it completely correct so I guess don’t buy these. Get the duralast ones because they have a piece that comes down and actually holds it on.

Driver's side does not work on Honda Fits. Don't waste your money.
Bad video. You should start removing the old blades and replacing them with new blades to get the total procedure and find out how hard the installation is because different cars windshield blade assembly can make the procedure very hard.
