Another thing about the different versions was that the PSP version had the order 66 (horde mode) and historic battles. I wish those were in this port as I spent countless hours on those side modes back in the day
I also loved spending time in these modes, until she completed them completely to the maximum. I recently decided to try playing swtfu on the computer again, but to my disappointment it's a completely "different" game compared to the childhood game I played for hours on end on the psp. I’m very sorry that the PC version has degraded so much compared to the PSP version, even though there are 3 additional missions, but the game itself is terribly cut down, in the PSP version it was much longer, in my opinion, and lacks the above modes.
8:17 fun fact: Thse aren't stormtroopers in most levels. There's a few elite stormtroopers but you only fight real standard Stormtrooper infantry on the Death Star level. The standard infantry are "Imperial Navy Commandos" which make sense on SOME levels like the TIE factory at the start but should NOT be in other levels like the Jedi Temple exterior.
the Cloud City level was always my favourite, I loved taking on the red mandalorians while the Bespin music from ESB was playing in the background. Nar Shaddah was cool as well, kind of like a discount Coruscant. I was disappointed that the "next gen" version didn't feature these very cool sections of the game.
@@shinbakihanma2749 er... nah I agree. Don't get me wrong. 360, and ps3 were beautiful graphically. But play mechanics? God awful. It was rushed, and it shows and feels like that. Yes, it had the fight with your robot friend. Had different levels, but at the end of the day they felt.. idk.. uncreative? Now wii, ps2. My god, it's fun. It plays great, I feel like star killer has more character development in it. Yes the graphics aren't the ps3, 360. But it is truly so much fun. The levels felt fun, creative. The added pvp is so damn cool!
the PS3/360 version is bullshit, I've played both, I would replay TFU on PS2 a lot more times than I have already if it wasn't because my PS2 is dead, the game is awesome on the older version, better customization options, better combat, force ir easier to use and you actually feel good using the force while in the "HD" version feels like you're pushined or something, the game controls better on the SD version too, has more levels and those levels add a little bit more to the story that kinda has sense to me compared to the HD one as it is, Only things that has the HD over the SD one is the graphics and the fact that Starkiller uses the lighsaber "behind" as he "canonically" should do it, instead of using it like everyone else.
now i hope they port Knights of the Old Republic II, Dark Forces, Battlefront 1 and 2, Bounty Hunter and The Force Unleashed HD version, maybe TT games can port the Lego Star Wars complete saga.
Let them remake KOTOR1 first. It may arrive as a crossgen PS5/PS6 game first and IF successful, maaaaaybe they shall do the same with KOTOR 2 as PS7/PS8 game.😆
Fun fact: Disney was not the first to come up with inquisitors. They actually appeared in a book series called Last of the Jedi, taking place about a year or so after the events of Revenge of the Sith.
the PS2 version was my childhood. recently purchased and completed the steam version, and while graphically superior and still fun, it's kind of a downgrade in a way. if the last gen version had the dlc levels in some capacity, it would be a masterpiece.
Rebels didn't invent the inquistors they just gave them that standardized armor and spinsaber gimmick. Inquisitors were a thing in the old EU from Blackhole and Treymane, to Jerec the villain of the first Jedi Knight game (Second Dark Forces game)
I have a question the psp version didn't have a right stick and in the 360 version you could move the right stick while holding something with the force grab and it moved the object around so does the switch version do that?
Not with the right analog. The Right Stick mostly just moves the camera. The button for holding an object is set to X on the Switch Version (Y button on an Xbox controller) and you move objects you’re holding with the Left stick.
Because of this port, I would like them to release the wii version of force unleashed 2 so i can play the multiplayer with friends. Its a smash bros clone.
I don't understand why you're saying "(massively) overpowered" as if it's a bad thing. For the game it's great that he's overpowered. If you're concerned about the lore, he doesn't even come close to what Luke can do. This might just be me hearing something that isn't there though, sorry in advance if that's the case.
Everyone hating on the game due to it "not being like the ps3, 360, or PC game" must not have watched the video or looked up more info about the game being a port of the Wii. Even in this video they explain that this game is slightly different than those versions. Personally I won't purchase this because I'm just a fan of the 360 version but I know it's not the same as the 360 so I'm not bothered by it.
They should have ported both though, that's my issue. I like both versions of the game but damn I only bought it for nostalgia and I didn't grow up with the PS2 version
I'm not going to buy the game... Not at full price. I really dug the physics of the console version and I am butt hurt that those are missing from this underwhelming looking version... And as much as I want to play as Mara Jade given I actually have an awesome Mara Jade statue and obviously she 'doesn't exist' etc etc... I just can't allow a character skin to force my hand on a full price purchase. (I'm still butt hurt that the only skin I would have bought Arkham Origins for, is only available, literally, only in the ps3 version - the... Gold and silver armour skin from when... Ack.. I can't even remember the words... The crazy guy who was covering for batman for a while, when he was wearing that armour in the... Storyline after Bane broke batman's back... I used to know all the names, but nope. Damn.. Regardless, that was the only time I would buy a game for a costume, and I still didn't do it) But I will sub, point being... Godspeed. Edit: I was thinking right, Azreal was the character, in the Knight fall part 2 storyline. V cool. Each to their own though of course.
I believe it was the motion controls, it bothered me as a kid but I now? He's still star killer, still kicking ass. Light Saber could be in his ass for all I care lol
I downloaded this game on my vita since it’s a psp game and now I can’t play any ps1 or psp games on my vita it’ll just crash my system so idk if I trust to download the same psp on my switch now
@@cottonmouthasmr8713 It might actually be worse than the PSP version if it does't have the PSP's bonus levels. But (somewhat) better looking and smoother running.
The Switch version is crap! hole fight scenes are removed ! in the PC version the fight with Rahm Kota was epic and tore the whole building down not on switch cuts right to the next scenes after finishing him! #Garbige!
PSP version remains the best
mainly because of:
-historic missions
-order 66 survival mode
-hero vs hero battles
I wish those were in the wii, strange how they didn't include those amazing levels
If only that local multiplayer was online boy we could have had an amazing fighting game
It would be my most played online game on switch
It doesn’t need online

Really excellent review. I worked on the original Wii version (not the Switch version), and this was a great watch. Thanks!

As always, nice review. I’m especially appreciative for your unbiased take and attempt at being objective. Nice review.
I only hope they also port the PS3 version to PS4/PS5! Im playing it tru PS Now.
Thanks for the video
I never liked the 360/PC version but you make this version sound very good. I think I would also use the Mara Jade skin.

I found a perfect Lightsaber Joy Con Attachment for this because who doesn’t want to swing a Lightsaber around when playing.

actually, the first game that gave that kind of jedi force freedom was Jedi Outcast, followed by the much better sequel Jedi Academy.
This is still the best star wars game ever made. People who it's bad didn't experience this on the Wii

Is ur score representing the port or the game. Cause it would seem to me Aspyr’s port is a 10 out of 10. They did an incredible job with the port.
