Executing a good Spiral or Snake Roll Spey Cast

  • In this video Andrew Moy breaks down the spiral roll cast, also known as the snake roll, into individual elements and offers tips for success when making the cast. He goes over the cast using a Sage Trout Spey HD in a 3 weight, lined with a Rio Trout Spey line.

    Great explanation Andrew its a cast i haven't yet mastered, but i can now see what i was doing wrong and how to rectify it thanks !!

      Hi Dick, I do. In NJ or NY. We also travel at times. My wife and I will sometimes travel to FL in the winter and could possibly arrange at meeting time. Not sure we are this year, but we are also a quick flight into EWR and in NJ only about 20-30 minutes from the airport. I also guide on the Delaware, so you could arrange some fishing and casting.
