Winnipeg is home, Calgary is not. But I'm probably biased.

Hello Living in Winnipeg, Manitoba - David Green:
If you like driving on streets filled with potholes, live in Winnipeg.
If you like playing green light - red light in your daily commute, live in Winnipeg (it amazes me that in this day & age, they haven't figured out how to synchronize traffic lights on major routes to move traffic, instead of have to stop at a red light at every single intersection).

That's pretty much any Prairie city

Nope, Winnipeg is the worst. Even a little city like Saskatoon has freeways with no lights, whereas Winnipeg doesn't have a single real freeway - not even the Perimeter.@@HomesInThePeg

      Hi, thanks for the question!
There is a large French Community in Winnipeg, mostly centralized in the neighbourhood of St. Boniface.
It's a beautiful community with easy access to the downtown core and home to St. Boniface Hospital.
Here is some info on the French Community and Society:

I thought this was a joke, surely nobody would choose to live in Winnipeg if they had a real choice to live in Calgary instead.

Sure is quite a bit easier to get knifed in Winnipeg.
So, Winnipeg has that going for it…

Thanks for the comment. Every city has its areas that aren't as nice as others, including crime rates. As an expert in the area, I am able to guide my clients into making a smart decision on where to live based on their needs and abilities.
With an impression already in mind, What brings you to compare the two cities?

Agreed, but as mentioned in the video, the average income per household is higher in Calgary. So even though you are spending more in Calgary, the additional income may help balance it out. Really depends on your personal situation.
