    Dirk could of easily had more than 4 rings if management would have made smarter decisions. They should have never let go of Nash. Nash and Dirk could have dominated from 2005-10

    Back in the day were Dirk moves like a real shooting guard, today he might not move as active like before but his shooting is still very deadly...damn I miss those days where NBA is ruled by great giants, Dirk, TD, KG, Shaq, Yao, Webber.... man post up plays are the best! Today NBA is full of overrated Guards like Harden, Curry, Thompson, Irving, Wall and more highlights shits that can't even last in the 2nd round of the playoffs

    • @nanagyambibi7426
      @nanagyambibi7426 9 лет назад +1

      ***** I agree that the post game is a lost art but Harden Curry Thompson Irving and Wall are not overrated. ESPN just rather show flash over substance.

    • @sohaminyoh
      @sohaminyoh 8 лет назад

      Young Wall is most definitely overrated. He uses pick and rolls a lot but his production is unimpressive. He isos a lot and he is inefficient at it. He turns the ball over a lot in transition. He shoots a lot of pull up jumpers yet he only hits 35% of them.

      “Duncan is a center”, yet Duncan started at Power forward throughout the majority of his career and is regarded the GOAT PF by several sports analysts. He could play center from time to time and often played it late in his career when Popovich played small lineups and the Spurs brought in Lamarcus Aldridge his last season.

    I love how a guy who has averaged over a block and over 10 rebounds in the playoffs to be a liability, not to mention make that comment in a game where dirk has 18 rebounds against tim duncan and david robinson. And if i may could you ask the guy playing center for dallas at any points in dirks career to do that? Seriously the man has to literally do everything? Malone and barkely werent known for there defense so what are you talking about?

    LOL at Tims team this year, good lord he could have used Parker and Ginobili out there along with Bruce. I still do not know how he went this far with that team then! He was that good I guess. Dirk though on the other side, I saw this series and said to myself this guy is a star, he is amazing! My Pops watched a few games with me too, he loved Dirks game and said this guy is good. Great players in this game from Dirk to Tim, good up on this video.

    So with this logic dirk is what a sg,sf or center(guarded by daniels,elliot and robinson) Tim is a pf and dirk is a pf, how do you know? They both played with centers there entire career. Robinson,rasho,nazi,oberto,splitter-bradley,dampier,haywood,chandler,kanman. The fact there not guarding each other is one to avoid pf and the other duncan cant guard dirk at all so why put you best offensive player at the time and best help defender in no mans land?

  • @Cornelius87

    This is kind of sad. Close out game and Nowitzki plays his heart out but nobody else in his team shows up. His whole prime was wasted pairing him with crappy centers when the league was dominated by that position.

      This is a complete myth. He was top 6 in defensive win shares for two season and his career defensive win shares ranks him at 30th overall in NBA history. He was one of the best post defenders in the league in his prime when he had built up mass. He had an offensive rating of 100 or less for 3 seasons.
      "Look at the 2011 NBA Playoff results again. It shouldn't be surprising to see Dirk excel on D.
      Aldridge saw his scoring and rebounding averages drop from 22 & 9 to 21 & 8 despite the fact he played three more minutes per game (43.0). His true shooting percentage also dropped from .549 to .498, while his plus-minus in the Mavs-Blazers series was -51.
      Dirk was a +50 in the series.
      Same held true in the Mavs-Lakers Series. Gasol saw his numbers drop--from 19 & 10 in 37 minutes per game to 13 & 9 in 36 mpg against the Mavs. His true shooting percentage dropped from .589 to .476 and his plus-minus was a -22. Odom dropped from 14 & 9 in 32 mpg in the season to 12 & 7 in 32 mpg in the series. His true shooting percentage dropped from .589 to .498 and his plus-minus was -24.
      Meanwhile, Dirk was a +67 in the Lakers series.
      And through 10 games of the 2011 NBA Playoffs, the Mavs are holding opponents to a West-best 88.2 points per game."

      @@sohaminyoh Defense win shares don’t mean shit when determine how great a player was on defense. According to your logic, Steph Curry is the greatest scorer of all time because his True shooting percentage is higher than MJ’s, Kobe’s Bird’s, Malone’s, Wilt’s, Kareem’s etc even tho his fg% is usually trash in the finals and his high 3pt percentage and FR percentage offset his poor overall fg%. GTFO with ur advance stats, you stats nerd.
