Great video as I have a leaking thermostat housing/hose on a 2007 2.5 Jetta. Thought it was the water pump but bad guess (same area under the car). This shouldn't be a big deal and I'll get some help from my 4-H Automotive students. Good explanation on the process and details of removal.

Great video! I've had to make those long thin torx bits too using my drill extension. I put some scotch tape on the end and push the bit in and wrap tape like you did.

The manifold bolts are 6mm hex not a Torx 40 as you said they were jsyk
