The guy who was interviewed live on BBC was hilarious case of mistaken identity . Guy Goma was mistaken for Guy Kewney and ushered straight to the live interview . he composed himself and answered the questions with aplomb . Of course , since this is BBC , he didn't get the job . Edit :- when he was asked why he didn't correct the interviewer on air , he replied "when is the mistake somewhere , correct it the positive way" .
Its stupid no-one double checked I bet they now do! Seriously he did an amazing job! Give him a job, it can be checking you have the right person for the interview!!
That CVS lady should be really ashamed for herself. I order food deliveries all the time, and I never payed that much attention to what the app said who the driver was or what the driver looked like. The fact that the CVS lady recognized the driver almost immediately spoke the volume.
CVS Bish looks like she can afford to skip a few meals. She’s definitely stealing from her store, once a thief always a thief. She’s also part of the reason CVS is about to (or have already) filed Chapter 11 and are closing stores across the US.
@@davidvento5481 And learn how to wear a mask properly (though you don't have to wear one anymore). Unfortunately, I don't believe all the claims made by those who refuse to use them. First of all, I have a very small nose myself and often get stuffy even without a cold, and I had no trouble at all breathing through those masks. The only annoyance was the easily fogging glasses, in case there were any negatives to be found. Sorry about this, but I was annoyed at how badly she wore her mask during the worst of the pandemic. Poor thinking and I wonder how many customers she exposed to her germs. But apparently, judging from this video, her other actions and decisions are not exactly well thought out either.
@davidvento5481 Nah CVS going under is due to their own negligence in a multitude of ways 😂 the hilarious thing is Karen (the actual CEOs name) keeps posting record breaking profits every quarter, so really, why are they closing so many stores? We may never know 🤷♀️
@@davidvento5481While I don't doubt she is stealing from her job, the REAL people to blame for massive store closures (not just CVS btw) are the ones who've enforced ridiculously lax theft laws and the ones taking complete advantage of it all. When you have heavily liberal "defund the police" states and cities where people have been allowed to just ransack stores of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise with zero consequencesĺ, the end result is everyone else suffers for it.
As someone who worked at a drive thru, we all heard the order. We often started making the order as it came through. Know what happened when the customer changed the standard recipe and we already added something they didn't want? We either took it off or started over. No fuss. It's not their fault. We didn't expect the customer to order it in a specific way. It was literally in our training that we should call out the modifiers in a designated order, but shouldn't expect customers to order that way. Because why would they know that? That manager was just rude.
100% agree. Manager was totally out of line. It is literally not the customer's job to have to order an item in a specific way to be interpreted by staff. It's the sole duty of the staff to properly interpret the order, then confirm/ask questions if they're unsure of anything. If a food joint's order process isn't equipped to handle a wide variety of different ways a customer might order, then the process is flawed and needs to be updated to be more flexible.
My manager would just say something like, “In the future, for other (locations of this chain) you can make your order like this so the cooks better understand your needs and won’t make mistakes… (outlines the correct wording)” Honestly I felt like that was setting the bar too high for the customer, but it still was 1,000x nicer than what this manager did.
💯 it's not the costumers job to order a certain way. It's the person who taking the order. If that is what happens, that business system needs to be adjusted.
As somebody who works in the food service industry and has for a number of years, there is no way they are starting the order before it’s finished… That manager was rude AF and needs a different job!
I worked in fast food for a couple years and we always made the food as they ordered but sometimes they’d say that’s all and then at the last minute say actually change that to … and it was annoying because we were told to throw away the food and make it over again but even still the manager was in the wrong because she could’ve been more respectful and patient. Honestly though no excuses to her but fast food is no easy job and customers are so rude all the time so she could’ve been having a rough day and it just slipped. The customer wasn’t wrong. It’s nice to have your order ready and not change it up but sometimes you forget
@clara6608 exactly. The customer may have just forgot to tell them nor to put whatever on it...and it does happen that sometimes people change their minds. This is America, it's allowed. That manager lectured her like she was HER boss too, and that was ridiculous...and you know if one of the employees did that, that manager would never have let them get away with it. She was nasty to that customer and it was not called for.
As someone who worked for a wendys for way too long, the last lady was in the wrong. She was highly confrontational and its very clear she took the order on the speaker which is why she was ready to get an attitude the moment the customer asked. Its clear the lady probably went can i get a large number 4 with a sprite or some shit, then at the end was like oh by the way can that be plain, then the lady taking the order told her to stop being difficult. If you dont know how many times a day customers do that, and your job is literally to bite your tongue, say no problem and just remake the sandwhich if they already made it. Yeah it does go back to the kitchen and yeah sometimes line staff is fast as hell, and the moment they hear number 4 they finished making it lol, thats no ones fault but the companies for forcing time based metrics on its employees. It aint coming out of non of their paychecks to remake that sandwhich before the customer pays and give her what she asked for which is a plain burger, the manager was actually in the wrong she came out readh and escalated while the customer stayed calm initially, the manager personally really just did chose violence and thats not normal.
the fast food place i managed had a speaker on the make line and as soon as the order was heard it needed to start being made. They wanted 3 minutes from placing the order to picking up the food at the window. It was hard enough to do when it was a simple order. having to toss the sandwich and start over would push past our limit and we would get calls from district telling us we need to be faster or raises wont happen.
I completely agree, it's the time pressure and constraints the company is clearly putting on their employees, this was not the customers fault, if she had not left the window and the had not had the ordered confirmed then this can be amended by the customer. No win situation.
Sadly Guy Goma was not hired. He did go on to be interviewed by other outlets. He is currently looking into suing the BBC for royalties, as the episode of him is one of their most popular, and aired blooper.
He definitely deserves payment! IMO he deserved to be hired. He's not the one who made the mistake, but he's the one who played along and did his best to help the interviewer save face. THAT'S the kind of person they should want for their newsroom team! He had her back and he didn't even know her.
Door Dash drivers are going to have to turn on the camera and record them delivering the food to the people. People don't like it, blame the fraudsters.
I know my mail lady takes a photo of me when she delivers and of the porch if delivering boxes/packets And the Amazon drivers and ups all take photo even if im standing there I just smile and wave. If at my daughter home I also just hold the 2 year old and wave lol Too many folks out scamming
There is a You Tube clip from a door bell cam of an Amazon driver putting the package down, taking a picture, and then stealing the package.@@Emeraldwitch30
The BBC guy is an absolute LEGEND! I remember watching this right after it happened and it still cracks me up. He should have been hired to do something, anything! Missed opportunity.
I was hoping for a follow up saying that he was hired, inquiring minds want to know! He handled that so well I think he's earned a chance for employment. He'd be good at writing news copy because he's a quick thinker.

I used to work in fast food and it annoyed me to no end how people would order in a way that made it harder in me. That being said I never expected the customer to know how to order in a way that was convenient to me, that’s just unreasonable.
100 % agree and a lot of people forget that it could very well be someone's first time at a restaurant too this lady was so rude needlessly to the customer and I really hope that she got some disciplinary action
I agree. I've worked plenty of fast food in my life, and I think the worker was completely in the wrong and would most likely be fired if her managers saw that video. I don't think the customer was rude or combatant at all, and I agreed with everything she said, especially that if the lady hates her job she should quit.
Exactly. I'm sure every chain has a different system or preference. Are we supposed to expect customers to know how the point of sale system works at every fast food place? Or how it connects with the kitchen? Not to mention I could order my sandwich without mayo every single time and only get it that way 50%, so this is not all on customers...
Aw, look at that drive thru manager thinking that the customers work for her and aren't doing their jobs properly... Can't imagine how she speaks to the people who actually work there.
this comment. they dont work for her, theres no way of knowing any correct way to order. probably projection. Restaurants are apart of the HOSPITALITY service industry and that was certainly not hospitable.
Thinking the manager at the end was in the right is mind blowing. I waitressed for about 8 years and have worked in other customer service jobs and that is so far from okay.
Yes, there are ways to order to make it easier for the people working. However, if you’ve never worked in fast food, that’s not something you would know. So it’s not fair to expect everyone to know that. The right thing to do would be provide customer service and kindly explain her in the future. Next time you order just to make it easier ask for ___. You can teach people how to correctly order without being a complete ahole , not to mention extremely unprofessional.
The CVS thief should be banned from food delivery apps. Shame on her! That poor delivery woman should get a bonus to make up for her trouble. The man in the news did well!
I will say, though- CVS is not a public space, it's a private business. Recording in a private business is not ok. Girl should still have been fired, but that recording was a major problem.
@SithBunny1 no really. The woman who is being recorded has no expectation of privacy in a public space. The owner of the store could ask her to stop filming because it's private property. But unless that happened the recorder is in the clear.
@SithBunny1 it's up to the private business to post signs not allowing filming in their store. If they had the signs, the delivery person was filming illegally. If they didn't post signs, then the fraudster has no reasonable expectation of privacy and no recourse.
She was allowed to film, but it is slightly complicated in my mind, because technically the manager had a right to kick her out of the store. So it wouldn't be as cut and dry as two customers. I think had it become a legal issue the cops would have removed her at the manager's request. At the end of the day though, sounds like CVS fired her and justice was served.
@@SithBunny1- CVS IS a public area BUT if she was the manager and was told to leave it would be trespassing. Notice that she very much did not want to call the cops ... because stealing that food is a crime as well and the police could investigate ... like look through the trash for the evidence.
I agree with the girl in the car at the end. She asked very nicely who was she speaking to and the manager gave her an instant attitude. The girl was still speaking in a calm tone. I get fast food can be frustrating but it doesn’t take much to be nice or speak with kindness. If a different customer upset you, don’t take it out on other customers. Usually I see the younger fast food workers like this, but lately the older ones have been acting the same way.
Exactly, the manager made a condescending comment, so the girl asked POLITELY to inform the manager, so she immediately gets an attitude and starts arguing with the customer. There is no "correct" way to order. Just because it's too complicated doesn't mean you get an attitude.
I don’t understand her issue either the order isn’t sent until they finish ordering. I say a burger and they put that in order and then you say I don’t want x and they do that and then after order is verified they send it. I’m confused. Maybe the customer verified and then changed the order 🤷🏼♀️
@@hmp4521 It may not officially send right away, but the cooks where I used to work (Wendy's) do also have a headset on, so they're usually making your food as you're ordering it.
@@hmp4521I worked at a a few different Whataburgers and I believe it's the same kind of generally across all fast food is that cooks also have a headset and can preemptively start making an order in order to get it out to the customer faster but if the customer changes their mind then it is on them for preemptively making it instead of waiting until the order was finalized not the customers fault that's why I think the manager was way out of line for basically berating this customer for not knowing how to order which is total BS I hope that manager got some disciplinary action
I was part of one of those "Whole neighborhood celebrated an arrest" situations. We had a neighbor that decided the meds his doctor prescribed for his mental conditions were not working or something, and instead chose to self-medicate with alcohol and street drugs. He went absolutely nuts, threatened us all with burring our houses down with Molotov's, had a metal washtub with every sharp implement he owned (which was a LOT), ae eventually became famous when he flipped his car on a popular bridge by going 80 in a 35 on a downhill slope to said bridge. He earned the ire of the whole town with that bridge stunt, as the crash was just 30 minutes before the nearby high school was out for the day and that bridge is filled with kids walking home. The judge did not even require him to be in court for the restraining order, cause he was seen as such a threat (he regularly fought with jail staff too). Honestly the stories I have about that man are insane and could fill an entire Charlotte video.
Manager at the end needed to be fired! She was very aggressive. The customer was trying to figure out what was going on. ( I have worked at fast food places)

For real. Me and a friend used to love exploring abandoned buildings and areas, so we'd dress in work clothes with hard hats, vests and some old surveying equipment we found, and we never even got questioned.
At least in some come cities, when it’s needed, there are lots of day labourers working in construction type jobs. I’ve known someone who did some of this type of work. They said a bunch of people looking for work would meet in a certain location. Folks who owned or worked for construction type companies would show up at those locations and grab as many workers as they needed for the day. There are also agencies who assigned the day labourers, to certain jobs. I’m not sure how things work in the UK but I was wondering if perhaps the company in the video utilizes this type of employee. If folks are used to having temporary employees that come and go all the time then it wouldn’t seem strange to have some random dude show up.
@@Willow.9765 That's what I was thinking. That's probably why he got away with it for a while.
On the wedding one, I am SO GLAD my husband DID NOT smash cake in my face. Our cake was chocolate... or marbled... it was mostly chocolate in any case, and had some black frosting decoration. to me, in the last video the manager came off as rude, if you're ordering something, you should be able to order it the way you want it...i understand what she was saying about it confusing the cooks but she still could've worded it better and not been so rude about it
As someone who was a fast food manager, this was completely unacceptable. Everyone has their own way of ordering things and in a well run restaurant they wouldn't start making anything until the customer was done ordering. At our store we didn't start until they paid in most cases, especially if it was a large order. This manager has no business working in a restaurant like this. Just imagine how she treats the employees, if this is the way she speaks to a customer that is recording her.
@@ldegraaf uh where have you worked in fast food? Last video: that fast food worker was rude AS HELL, there’s not a “correct way” to order food, the “correct way” is to wait for the order to be finished before you start making it. Yesterday a lady in the drive thru scolded us for not knowing our order number when we hadn’t even received a receipt. MA’AM.
Yes the fast food worker was in the wrong, and yes waiting until the order is done is a good idea in theory, except that a fast food restaurant drive-thru is being timed from the moment you pull up to the box to the time you drive away, meaning that we have to start making the food as the order is coming in so that the the food is ready by the time you get to the window, because otherwise the higher ups at said fast food job get pissed about high drive-thru times. No, the manager shouldn’t have been rude. Source: I work at a fast food restaurant.
Right? I am working in a fast food restaurant and this woman was way out of line. She explained that when the customers has extra wished it confuses the cooks since the order already goes through to them, but how is that the customers fault?? It's a system with flaws in that case. Not every customer knows that you instantly have to explain you want something extra because it could confuse the cooks already the moment you are still in the middle of your order. I also had customers who forgot something and changed it up during ordering. It's literally my job to take that order even if I have to go back one step. It happens many times a day. If I am bothered by that so much that I reject a customer, I should just quit my job.
Yeah she didn't handle that well and was PROBABLY fired. Unless this lady recording has had kept doing that all the time and was doing it on purpose for whatever reason. They could have asked nicely before on different days. That's the only way I see the driver as in the wrong. And I'm Definitely not ruling that out as people do things like that in general sadly.
Ever wonder why people in service windows of fast-food concerns occasionally get drinks/food thrown in their faces by pissed-off customers? Wonder no more.
15:08 confused by the drive-through situation. So it seems like they’re trying to make the food while she still ordering. So that would be the fault for assuming she wants the burger as is. Anywhere you go you asked for the burger and then you substitute or take away or add. I’m siding with the driver
I think the last one depends on what she ordered. Because I always order "blah blah blah without tomatoes please" I usually clarify it's due to allergy, so they know I mean ALL tomatoes. And if this was the response of the manager I would be shocked. But I also wouldn't have argued, I would have said "alright then, cancel my order and I'll go somewhere else. Thank you!"
So if she just doesnt like tomatoes, she should be forced to eat it anyways? Like...i dont get what you mean with it depends...nor why your allergy makes a difference? Like...unless you have an allergy, you cant request not to have something you dont like? Da fuk?
@Rhaenarys no that's not what I meant, but some people be like "I want a pepperoni pizza without pepperoni and cheese. And no tomato sauce. Can I also get extra onions and pineapples?" Which is not even a pepperoni pizza anymore. The reason I clarify I am allergic is so they remove ALL tomatoes, not just fresh ones or whatever. Hope this clarifies it! Have a nice day/evening 👍

These is a story on Reddit in IDWHL of a young guy who was kidnapped by a walmart manager, dragged to the back room, and had his wallet stolen. Old fart then locked, the kids wallet in the timed safe, called the district manager to fire him - when again, he did NOT , work there! DM fired the old fart 😂
I remember that too. I felt bad for the kid, but also for the old man. Walmart should have given him a different job, such as inventory and stockroom duties. He should have been reprimanded but given another chance. What he did was done for the good of his company in his mind. He was wrong, but his heart was in the right place. Old dude needs his job to survive and now will have difficulty finding another at his age.
I remember that to the guy even held him there for hours for the DM to arrive and confirm the kid didn’t work there. It was only when the DM reamed him did the kids belongings get released & he was allowed to leave. Ppl were actually suggesting to file charges for technical theft of his property, one of the comments said even IF he worked there that manager didn’t have the authority to force him to stay or to take his stuff.

@dawnchesbro4189, I agree! If they require a certain ordering system it should be posted. The staff had no right to cancel her order OR speak to the woman in such a rude and demoralizing manner. They could have told her AT the window how to order her specific foods added, but no the woman chose to act arrogant and punish them for their order process. Some people should NOT work with the population and SHE shouldn’t!!
I'm going to respectfully disagree here. How do you think your McDonalds order comes to you so fast if they DON'T begin making it as soon as you start speaking? The average time in a fast food drive through is under 2 minutes. Do you think they have mountains of food for every combination of orders ready in the back to be thrown in a bag? No, the cooks are listening to your order as you're saying it. So, if you begin by saying "I'll have a big mac" and then move on to something else WITHOUT modifying it, they're making you a regular big mac. If you go back 30 seconds later and say, "nothing on that big mac", they now have to throw the big mac they already made out, because it had things on it you didn't want. I'm not saying you can't modify your sandwiches. Obviously you can. Just make the changes to your sandwich BEFORE moving on to the next section of your order, please. - someone who worked at multiple fast food restaurants to get through college
That manager in the last clip was unbelievable rude so no one is allowed to make changes to any type of food like what if they can't eat something due to dietary restrictions... 14:37
8:10 They are seeing the person with the camera because of the angle. That is why they are trying to reach out the food to them. They are not seeing themselves likely.
Uh, I wouldn't want some rando working at my house construction project! It seems harmless at the outset, but really it's a huge liability if something were to happen due to his action/inaction.
I normally agree with Charlotte’s takes but I couldn’t disagree more about that manager at the end. If the way a customer orders food is confusing (especially with simple modifications) then they should change their practices. Customers shouldn’t have to say what they want with the words in a specific order for that specific restaurant. And the managers attitude was uncalled for.
Charlotte is always saying go with your instincts! 😂 Even though we don’t have full context and only going off demeanors I lean more to siding with the customer on this one.
Both were correct, but I agree more with your statement. The employee does not have to be so rude or disrespectful, but she is right that there is a correct way to order. If she perhaps explained politely instead of just firing off about "ordering a sandwich doesn't have to be that difficult", that could have gone so much better. I'm sorry, but I have to side more with the girl taking the video. I don't see anything wrong with what she did or said in the least. Even I, who cries and has anxiety over having to confront anyone or explain that I have been wronged, I would still have gone to the manager. That was beyond uncalled for BS.
working in fast food, if they fuck up your order, then they have to change/remake it anyway. it was their bad for not following instructions. (no matter how bad they fucked up)
Right, was she supposed to start by saying “I don’t want any pickle or onion on my hamburger.” ? No, you say I want a hamburger with no pickle or onion. That manager was being some kind of b****.
6:05 as a fellow DoorDasher I can 100% agree that so many people say they don’t receive their food but they did just so they can get free food it’s just ridiculous because the drivers get penalised and sometimes suspended for not delivering food. I find these kind of people atrocious honestly u order u get food u pay end of story if u can’t afford it don’t order food period!!
For the people saying the manager at the end is rude: When you're ordering fast food, the cooks are making it as you order. The problem wasn't that she wanted modifications, most likely she made her order, they moved on to the rest of the order, then she remembered she wanted her order modified. The issue is that at this point, the order had been made and it's getting packed up. Now they have to find the incorrect order - that may or may not already be in the takeout container - and remake an order they already finished. The drive-thru is timed so this slows everything down and it can cause confusion since a remake has to be directly told to the cooks, interrupting the next order.
I think that's not the issue though. People can forget things, it probably happens a few times per day. No matter what, if you work in customer service (especially as a manager), you *cannot* be rude to customers in any circumstance, with exceptions if the customer is verbally abusing you/someone else, or if they're like throwing stuff, etc. That manager was wayyy out of line, especially with the customer initially being this calm about the whole situation.
i agree - unless, of course, the guy hurts himself or others and then it snowballs into something he didn't envision happening (lawsuit, someone on the crew getting fired because they didn't notice him, etc.) the old "you can chose your actions, but you can't chose the consequences" - it's just great that the prank went off well
That last one, I’m sorry Charlotte but the manager was rude. Whenever I have ordered a cheeseburger I say “can I get a cheeseburger with ketchup and onions only”? No one has ever said I didn’t order it right. I have also ordered it that way and the employee puts in “no mustard, no pickles”. Again I don’t get told I ordered it wrong.
I'm guessing that they ordered a burger with bacon and then later said they didn't want everything on it. The cooks started putting the burger together with everything plus bacon, but then had to scrap the order because they decided they didn't want everything on it. There's probably more to that interaction than what's on camera, maybe they were trying to be jerks and screw around with the restaurant staff.
I have to do specific orders because of dietary restriction, ie food allergy, and if I came around to that lady I'd be super pissed. Like why would you put your job on the line like that?
@@tomcollins5112 that is true! You never get the full story when you only see a clip. I know there have been some “Karen” videos out there making the Karen seem rude or whatnot. But we didn’t see the half hour of said person getting berated. Great opinion 😊
CVS & Door Dash got soooo much backlash on this video when it went viral that both woman were let go from their positions. I do like that CVS did confirm that the woman got her food and put that in their press release about the story.

Related, sort of. This is the exact reason why you need a Wedding Gift Table guard. NO ONE knows everyone at a wedding! People assume you're a friend of the couple, or a second photographer. This guy was kind enough to do actual work after "breaking in." Thieves at weddings work on the same principle. Be aware, people!
Yeah, we learned this at our wedding. My dad found a guy trying to steal a couple cards thankfully we caught him and I don't think anything was taken. After that a few of his friends took turns guarding the table.
We took turns guarding the presents at my nieces wedding. We also had a lockbox for cards. Ppl never fail to disappoint me. We did that because when our cousin got married, someone stole all her cards. They were caught and most of it was recovered, as it was mostly checks. Was another cousins date.
OMgg im not a person who frets with my appearance much but i totally understand how the eyebrow girl is feeling and i validate those tears! 12 yrs ago i was in China and got my eyebrows waxed. The woman LITERALLY waxed off HALF my eyebrows!!!!! I was freaking out but couldnt even explain to her what i was mad about because i dont speak chinese. It was bad. Thankfully they grew back but damn. Im scared to get waxings ever since and i rather pluck with a tweezer. omg when Charlotte was wagging her tongue and the editor/s added an ice cream cone.... it was perfect. You guys are perfect.
I have to respectfully disagree with you on the last one...if I heard it correctly, they said what they wanted and then said how they wanted it....and that, to me ,is normal....would you say....I'd like no pickles on a cheeseburger....or I'd like a cheeseburger with no pickles? And calling them difficult over the speaker isn't ok......when face to face, she could have explained how their system works and a better way to order.....and the way the lady described their system? I would think waiting to see the full instructions would be better than trying to cut a minute off by not waiting for special requests
The manager was so in the wrong. THERE IS NO CORRECT WAY TO ORDER! I used to work for a company for 8 years, different locations and positions that had a drive thru. The ONLY time i suggested a different approach for customer to order was to help them save money on same order!
I got a lot of attitude at a restaurant where I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, no special request, and they gave me a grilled cheese sandwich (but charged me for a chicken sandwich). I was nice about it and asked them to make what I ordered, but was told that they were out of chicken. So why was I charged for a chicken sandwich? They clearly heard what I said, but the woman told me that she couldn't understand me because of my accent (Southern). I think it was intentional, she knew they were out of chicken and figured I'd just accept an American cheese sandwich (cheapest sandwich they sell) in lieu of the grilled chicken (most expensive sandwich they sell). I told her I won't argue, I just won't be back AND I'm removing the glowing all-star review I wrote about them on Google a couple of years ago. I showed her my review on Google that included a pic of the delicious chicken sandwich I always order and a very positive review of their restaurant and staff. Then in front of her, I deleted my review which had over 300 thumbs up from other people. I didn't replace it with a bad review because I only write positive ones, but only if they are earned!
Nah we don’t know how the order was placed in the the first place, I’ve worked retail and people say and do stupid shit and it’s aggravating, working retail isn’t fun and from these comments it shows none of you have worked retail, ordering isn’t that hard but y’all make sound difficult, when you are in line you look at the board and something on the sandwich or whatever you order has something you don’t like on it just say can you leave X,Y or Z off and wow it’s that easy, the girl recording made it sound difficult, I am always on the retail workers side because they get a lot shit over stuff and it’s not right, these people are trying to make money to live and y’all are making it difficult, people need to stop acting like Karen’s when retail workers stand up for themselves.
The manager at the end was wrong. Youre coming in halfway through the situation so you cant truly tell about the customer, but theres a right way and a wrong way to handle a customer, even a customer you percieve as difficult. And being as how its over how shes ordering a meal, it shouldn't be sent to the kitchen til the order is complete. Ive worked in kitchens for years. People change their minds, add things, take things away, shit happens. Ive never heard of a system that instantaneously forwards every step of an order as it is entered into the computer. And even so thats not the customers fault. Even if the customer was being difficult before the recording started, the manager mishandled the situation. The manager is for sure in the wrong with, potentially, an everyone sucks here situation.
I worked at BK and the system would instantly send the order as it’s being made. You press one thing and it instantly showed in the kitchen, but at least we all had headsets. The manager for sure mishandled the situation but we can’t say for sure who is wrong
Agreed! As someone who hates onions, i always ask for my food to not have them. According to this manager i would be inconsiderate for that. I do think the customer came at her with a bit of an attitude but i would too if i asked for a change in my food and they talked crap about me for it and in a way that i would hear it. If she didn't want to be told anything then she should've complained at her break time or after the customer had left like the rest of us do. Lol
I agree. As a customer, how the heck would I know how their system works? I haven't eat fast food in a couple decades, so maybe it's changed since the "have it your way" days.
Imagine pulling in the drive through of a fast food restaurant and saying yeah I'd like no pickle, no onions, easy on the mayo and before you finish you get interrupted by the person taking the order stopping you because you haven't told them what burger or sandwich you are even trying to order. I'm pretty sure that is exactly what would happen because they have to know what your ordering before they can add the changes to what you are ordering. So the manager was completely in the wrong in my opinion. And like the lady in the car said she didn't have to be rude and could have found a more professional way to explain to the customer why the other employees were complaining. Honestly though they should have not been complaining since it's literally their job to make the food how the customer orders it.
@@embrokyn5442 That's what I was thinking. How else are you supposed to order if not giving the name of the sandwich first and then saying 'no pickle, lettuce, etc.'?
I used to work in construction company. Part of my work was to hire and fire people. Half on those who applied were drunks who either came to work drunk or worked till first salary and then disappeared. I must have hired and fired hundreds of people. So yes, if someone randomly came and started working it might be that he would go unnoticed for some time because rotation of workers is soooo high.
Aww I love the guy that ended up on the BBC. His face at first when she starts the interview is just so innocent and he just goes with it to save them being shown up 😂
Idk about the last one. I’ve worked in the food service industry and I know not to say things that will prompt a negative reaction from the customer. Yeah she explained herself after being confronted but she didn’t have to be a smart ass before.
Thank you to Charlotte and your team because these videos are fucking fantastic every single 1. Watching your videos everyday is apart of my daily routine at this point and I'm living for it
as someone who worked in fast food, i understand the frustration. we’ve all been there. but it’s unreasonable to get angry at them for it. your customers don’t know the program you use to take orders. to blame them for changing something at “the last second” and “making things difficult” is utterly ridiculous.
15:00 doesn’t matter if it’s confusing, you suck it up, make the damn sandwich and then rant about it to your co-workers later How do I know this? Because I’ve worked in fast food, this literally happens all the time you just have to deal with it
Where I work the order doesn't come through until AFTER you pay. Some people don't know how to order, and some order takers don't put stuff through the easiest way, but you should educate them kindly the first couple times. I have so much anxiety ordering something new, if someone talked to me like that instead of nicely explaining to me for next time, I would be terrified of ordering from any restaurant in that chain again.
The "help me" sign at the wedding would've been it for me. I would have walked off. It's so gross that some little boys really wanna humiliate the woman THEY proposed to in the first place. I'm so glad my man isn't anything like these boys. Edit: The likes speak for themselves. Be mad in the comments all you want. 🤗
@rustygribbler1380 Your ceremony isn't the place for shitty jokes like that. She wasn't in on the joke. She was the butt of the joke. It wasn't cute, and you can tell it upset the bride. I'm sorry you have shitty humor and think this is funny.
Agree@@rustygribbler1380 my partner and I would bring something like this up, considering I already make jokes about just sending him the invitation to the wedding.
For the last video, I'm on the woman recordings side. Sure, there might have been an easier way to tell the employees what she wanted but she didn't know that, it was wrong of the manager to have an attitude with her over something like that.
I completely agree. She could have said... the way out system works, blah blah blah so when you order here it would be easier for us if you could blah blah blah" A kindly spoken request goes a LOT farther than an attitude like that.
2:20 worked construction after highschool. there are always dozens of people on the site, and there are usually many different work crews from many different companies on the site at the same time, so you don't usually know most people each day.
That Door Dash clip, the CVS person could have called the cops and had them trespassed. The fact that they didn't suggests she knew she was on camera receiving the food.
I don't know about that last one. I don't order my burger "plain, add cheese, ketchup, mayo, lettuce and bacon." I just say "I would like a burger, no onion, no tomato, no mustard, add mayo, please and thank-you :) " I've never had issues with the way I order. So, just to be fair, I think both people might be a little wrong here, but mostly I'm on the camera ladies side just because of the perspective presented and how it was presented to me. Woman at the window seemed hostile, but again trying to be fair, we don't know the full context from the beginning, just from somewhere in the middle, so, it really is hard to figure out where I stand, but as of right now I'm with the camera lady I'm afraid..
Wow ❣️ You totally missed it on the drive thru Karen. It is not my job to know every drive thru method of inputting orders. You want a bacon burger with no ….. If it goes to the crew then you are doing it wrong. You do not blow crap at the customer for how they put the order in even if they forgot and said it after the total. That is how it goes sometimes. If you snap at each customer you won’t have customers. What if she came back with that’s how Burger King wants it ordered? There is not just one way to order at a drive thru. Each place has a different process. But you don’t have to bite someone else’s head off for it.
I got scammed by a customer handing me a fake $100 dollar bill at register. Granted, I should have caught it but if I EVER see that man’s face again, I’m going all out on him. I could have lost my job. I hate thieves. It’s not fun to be messed with.
As someone who works in fast food at the first window where payment is taken. I understand the frustration, however, not everybody is going to order the same. It's not that big of a deal. Just take the lady's money and get her her food. They even had an upset child in the car. Which as a mom can be very, very frustrating.
15:32 what is wrong with yall, to think that manager is in the right. She is being incredibly rude and should be fired, like...thats some entitlement shit. Sure they both had valid points i guess but when somebody has been ordering something the same way you don't have to be rude. There isn't really a proper way to order, sounds like she said she wanted a specific item and followed it up with nothing on it just bacon. I'm having trouble understanding where the customer was in the wrong.....
You don’t need to have a degree in rocket science to stock shelves at a chain drug store but that woman was also a flat-out thief (and a bad liar.) Im glad she got the boot after being confronted.
I thought the manager was wrong in the last one 😬 unless I misunderstood something? It sounded like the customer just didn’t say her order the way the manager wanted her to say it. Maybe annoying if it wasn’t said in the order the restaurant prefers, but how would the customer know?
This! That one got me a little bit bc I know a lot of people who get flustered, anxiety, hell speech impediments. But to think everyone is going to know the super secret special way to order your damn food is a little beyond me lol!
I've gotten from some other comments they started her order before she was done giving it. So it wasn't made correctly. So yeah. That manager was wrong and what a weird system that is.
Same. Work in CS and I get irritated by people who can’t figure things out, it takes a lot of empathy to be patient, but that attitude was not it. Manager needed a break. I assume it must’ve been a long and hard day. that customer did not deserve it.
10:11 is giving toxic ex of the groom who still loves him/some girl that likes him and is going out of her way to f with the bride and try and get the groom's attention
I just got married last week and I told my groom to make jokes in his vows because I had a few in mine and his only joke was that he vowed to always be my alarm clock cause I’m always late lol I hate that old joke “ball and chain” and those stupid wedding toppers of the bride dragging the groom. Call me crazy, but I want to be married to someone who wants to be married to me! Why have we all accepted this??

The guy who was interviewed live on BBC was hilarious case of mistaken identity . Guy Goma was mistaken for Guy Kewney and ushered straight to the live interview . he composed himself and answered the questions with aplomb . Of course , since this is BBC , he didn't get the job .
Edit :- when he was asked why he didn't correct the interviewer on air , he replied "when is the mistake somewhere , correct it the positive way" .
Really? He saved them!
Dammit! I thought he nailed that interview. He protected the interviewer by going along with THEIR mistake. He made her look good
Yeah sad to say he wasn't hired . But he got internationally famous . Something good came out of it .
Its stupid no-one double checked I bet they now do! Seriously he did an amazing job! Give him a job, it can be checking you have the right person for the interview!!
Quick check shows he plans to sue the BBC for royalties - the least they could do for not hiring him imo, run that man his coinsss!
That CVS lady should be really ashamed for herself. I order food deliveries all the time, and I never payed that much attention to what the app said who the driver was or what the driver looked like. The fact that the CVS lady recognized the driver almost immediately spoke the volume.
Because she actually handed her the food that's why she recognized her
CVS Bish looks like she can afford to skip a few meals. She’s definitely stealing from her store, once a thief always a thief. She’s also part of the reason CVS is about to (or have already) filed Chapter 11 and are closing stores across the US.

Exactly! We did the same thing but ALWAYS remade it in case the customer was allergic to anything
Exactly ✔️💯

As somebody who works in the food service industry and has for a number of years, there is no way they are starting the order before it’s finished… That manager was rude AF and needs a different job!
@dannielle2850 i agree100%
I came to the comments for this!! Thank you
Exactly why I’m here in the comments too. That manager was in the wrong.
I agree.
Agreed! Always read back the order before putting it in. That's like rule number one of front of the house food waste prevention.
the fast food place i managed had a speaker on the make line and as soon as the order was heard it needed to start being made. They wanted 3 minutes from placing the order to picking up the food at the window. It was hard enough to do when it was a simple order. having to toss the sandwich and start over would push past our limit and we would get calls from district telling us we need to be faster or raises wont happen.
Indeed. Why is it the customers problem that you pre-sent the order before she finished speaking?

I used to work in fast food and it annoyed me to no end how people would order in a way that made it harder in me. That being said I never expected the customer to know how to order in a way that was convenient to me, that’s just unreasonable.
My thoughts exactly!
@@pleasestopscreaming And it's usually why one of the cooks is wearing a headset as well so they can hear as it's being ordered!

Mad respect to the builder for actually wanting to work. He's a cheeky bugger but that's not a bad thing in this case.
The customers were probably purposely screwing around with the restaurant staff and that's why the manager was angry.

Charlotte i'm really shocked you agree with the manager from the fast food drive thru. She was absolutely in the wrong and rude for no reason.
Can I also get extra onions and pineapples?" @dawnchesbro4189, I agree!

Right, was she supposed to start by saying “I don’t want any pickle or onion on my hamburger.” ? No, you say I want a hamburger with no pickle or onion. That manager was being some kind of b****.
Hope every single one of you petty potatoes has a wonderful day! ❤
Same to you, QueenBee! 🐝👑

@@foxbuns ooh I love that!!!!!
You to fellow petty potatoe ❤
Thank you.. your so kind.
Free labour for a prank is pretty awesome to be fair 😂😂😂
i agree - unless, of course, the guy hurts himself or others and then it snowballs into something he didn't envision happening (lawsuit, someone on the crew getting fired because they didn't notice him, etc.) the old "you can chose your actions, but you can't chose the consequences" - it's just great that the prank went off well
@@kenbrb6261 so true
The second video showed boss behavior 😂imagine literally having no idea what's happening but doing great enough to convince EVERYONE 😂
Again I don’t get told I ordered it wrong.
the only thing you’re wrong about is onions on a cheeseburger /j
I am dying at the construction improv. As someone who works in that industry it’s appreciated. Good workers are hard asf to find.
That neighborhood situation at 13:00 has the only video proof of a true story that ended with everyone clapping 😂
“When he asks if you finished”…😂😂 stooooop! That got me!
If I had been drinking coffee, I would have spit it out!🤣
CVS & Door Dash got soooo much backlash on this video when it went viral that both woman were let go from their positions. I do like that CVS did confirm that the woman got her food and put that in their press release about the story.
Doesn’t seem right that delivery people can’t stand up for themselves.
@rachelmyers3228 there's a difference between standing up for yourself and essentially stalking someone by somehow showing up at their work to harass them
@@haileym5912she probably delivered the food to her at work while the cvs lady was on her lunch break lmao very common, so she just went back to where she delivered the food earlier when she got the notice that customer said the order wasn't delivered.
@hanamachii_ either way this is still harassment and because she posted it online there was a risk of a defamation case too which Door dash could've wound up involved in since she did it as an employee of theirs
Well she probably thought she was going to get fired anyhow so why not try and prove her side, like she had every right to do. Don't let people label you a liar or a thief just to save your job@@haileym5912
That first one is so true. You'd be amazed the places you can get into with a hardhat, vest , clipboard and some confidence..
Kindness goes a long way. Be kind!
This is how I heard it too. I can’t help but applying the saying, “Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.”.
Exactly! That woman’s approach was out of line
Watching your videos everyday is apart of my daily routine at this point and I'm living for it
Love that the Door Dasher got revenge. "It isn't a big deal" my butt. She messed with the wrong "Karen." Love it.
But she didn't get revenge, she got fired. :-(
as someone who worked in fast food, i understand the frustration. we’ve all been there. but it’s unreasonable to get angry at them for it. your customers don’t know the program you use to take orders. to blame them for changing something at “the last second” and “making things difficult” is utterly ridiculous.
15:00 doesn’t matter if it’s confusing, you suck it up, make the damn sandwich and then rant about it to your co-workers later
How do I know this?
It's a joke no one should be offended by that help me sign
@rustygribbler1380 Your ceremony isn't the place for shitty jokes like that. She wasn't in on the joke. She was the butt of the joke. It wasn't cute, and you can tell it upset the bride. I'm sorry you have shitty humor and think this is funny.
I’d be walking
@rustygribbler1380 it's a cheap laugh at her expense
Agree@@rustygribbler1380 my partner and I would bring something like this up, considering I already make jokes about just sending him the invitation to the wedding.
For the last video, I'm on the woman recordings side.
Sure, there might have been an easier way to tell the employees what she wanted but she didn't know that, it was wrong of the manager to have an attitude with her over something like that.
I completely agree. She could have said... the way out system works, blah blah blah so when you order here it would be easier for us if you could blah blah blah" A kindly spoken request goes a LOT farther than an attitude like that.
2:20
worked construction after highschool. there are always dozens of people on the site, and there are usually many different work crews from many different companies on the site at the same time, so you don't usually know most people each day.
The BBC guy is actually just started a lawsuit against the BBC as he became a meme and he says it has effected his employment chances.
I used to work DoorDash for two years. This happens a lot which is why DoorDash drivers should be wearing a body cam the entire time of delivery.
3:38 they got the wrong guy but the right answers. 😅
Yay! Best time of the day, need a laugh! Thanx Charlotte, keep on being awesome!
That Door Dash clip, the CVS person could have called the cops and had them trespassed. The fact that they didn't suggests she knew she was on camera receiving the food.
The first guys laugh was truly infectious. Could not stop rewinding 😂
The CVS/door dash thief not only doesn’t know that stealing is wrong, she doesn’t know how to properly wear her mask! Put it over your damn nose!
That was driving me crazy. 😅
Yes, you should not expect every customer to know the exact rules of every restaurant! What if it is there first time there?
Same. Work in CS and I get irritated by people who can’t figure things out, it takes a lot of empathy to be patient, but that attitude was not it. Manager needed a break. I assume it must’ve been a long and hard day. that customer did not deserve it.
It’s like watching a car accident. Too late to stop it and hope no one’s killed!! ❤😂
10:11 is giving toxic ex of the groom who still loves him/some girl that likes him and is going out of her way to f with the bride and try and get the groom's attention
You can tell the guy in 2:30 PRACTICED for his interview. He better have gotten the job!!
Daily dose of Charlotte ❤💕 Keep spreading sunshine
Guy in number 2 should have got the job, regardless of if he could do it or not. That was great.
I just got married last week and I told my groom to make jokes in his vows because I had a few in mine and his only joke was that he vowed to always be my alarm clock cause I’m always late lol
I hate that old joke “ball and chain” and those stupid wedding toppers of the bride dragging the groom. Call me crazy, but I want to be married to someone who wants to be married to me! Why have we all accepted this??
The girl with the beanie, I can't get over how perfect her dog's nails are kept! 😊 (12:04)
I ran into a sliding glass door frequently enough to warrant bright stickers at kid level, which I picked off to add to my sticker book. 10min later I promptly rammed myself right back into the glass while eating a banana. Shame was a better deterrent than stickers.
