I like how they remixed Esaka Acid Mix from 99 to be NESTS Kyo's theme in this game. In a way it's like Kyo got his theme back, symbolising his fight against NESTS. He may have not taken down NESTS all by himself, but he still emerged victorious while NESTS crumbled
@TealDragon97 NESTS Kyo (also known as EX Kyo) is just Kyo with his newer (rekka) moveset from '96 onwards. He also changed his appearance during the NESTS saga ('99 - 2001). KOF XIII brought back Kyo's classic moveset (as they did with many characters), and would later add NESTS Kyo as DLC as they did with flame Iori. Kusanagi is supposed to be an evil version of Kyo created by Chizuru's Yata Mirror, therefore he is technically not a clone.

Kusanagi was technically SNK showcasing 'Syo Kirishima' (Kyo's beta character before dropped out). They didn't explicitly bring him back in the later installments so they showcased him in Kusanagi's form! That is to say, if we didn't have Kyo, we technically had Kusanagi in the first place.
Every time they want to bring back an older incarnation of Kyo, they bring back Kyo-1, Kyo-2, or NESTS Kyo. I like Kusanagi, his powerful attacks and voice gave him so much character than "Just a NESTS clone or something". I personally think they have to bring Kusanagi back too.

Kyo seems way more like the new Main Character already, guess the new Generation remembers the newer games rather than the old King of Fighters Arcade, with only 3 characters xD
for me Kyo Ex , came out from mugen, even if it was really fun to play XD And one of the best KOF soundtrak other than esaka e iori no saxophone is still green ! shingo theme^^

they have this version of him on KOF xiii, well color scheme wise. it just looks awkward on him there because he doesn't have the moveset to go with it.
Stronger and better version is ex kyo ps2 free of defects and a new sound and new movements and dm new, quick and wonderful thing I was waiting a long time is when you are working hcb + b Tsttie work after dm orochi nagi all easily impact much better than the old parts
@DiegoRC4 I only use the EX Kyo and Kusanagi on the game. makes it a lot easier. Kyo-2 is more of the 96-97 Kyo, Kusanagi is the 94 version and The Kyo already on there is the EX, NESTS version. Kyo-1 is a completely different Kyo. I like Kyo in the Orochi Saga but get tired of him in the NESTS Saga....too much of one character... it's like the pallette swaps of mortal Kombat..but much worse
