Thank you so much very! That is a huge compliment 😁 feel free to sgare with friends or like minded people though if they are interested in Guard content. I think it's mostly my lack of dedication to RUclips and getting my name out there.
Great summary, loved how you had variants for your main list. And of course your forces look excellent on the table. Now I need to find some narrative events in my area! It sounds like a ton of fun. Well done as usual!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it 😃 and hope you do find some narrative events locally. If you can't find local narrative events, then perhaps you will find 2 or 3 friends with similar play interests to start a small narrative group 😃
I had an absolute blast and cannot wait until I also do my recap game video. The 2nd Rogal Dorn is pretty mean 😅 and the game I did bring it out was the only one I had won.
Awesome list review! And your paint jobs are amazing!! Just as a note, the Rogal Dorn's Ablative Plating ability specifically states "When an attack is allocated to this model ..." as the timing. That's a specific step in the Making Attacks sequence. Step 3 of dealing damage is Allocate Attacks. So it's hit > wound > allocate - use the Dorn's ability or not > Saving Throw > Inflict Damage. You're setting the damage to 0 before you save or not. While it's not as powerful as it could be, it's still better than hoping you pass the save from a Volcano Cannon or not :)
Hey, super appreciate that clarification. Not sure how I misinterpreted the designers commentary or other information to read it this way when the order of operations are clear in the core rules. I went ahead and made a small edit to the video to correct this as I don't want to be giving out bad information to players. Hopefully that edit takes effect soon before the damage is done. Thanks for the compliment on my paint job too. Means a lot!
@@CadianSergeantSteelThe amount of rules look deceptively small, but there are *thousands* of different ways they can interact. No worries missing that one! It also doesn't help that similar rules in 9th worked after you made your saves, so it's real easy to get them mixed up. Always glad to see great content coming from fellow Guard players. keep it up!
Oh man the desire for aircraft is real. I have two Valkyrie's which is cool dont get me wrong, but that Marauder Destroyer and Thunderbolt look so sweet.
Eh, I honestly don't find Lord Solar to be an auto-include. I think the unit is good but not necessary. Good example would be the list that took the #4 spot at LVO Friendly not only didn't have Lord Solar... it's three characters were all Commissars 🤯 I think the guard builds are extremely versatile and don't require anything in particular.
His list videos seem to be more about starting to practice Astra Militarum army building. If you start questioning the list then maybe you already graduated from that phase. I find this list to be more situational than general purpose. Can it beat average Tyranids and Space Marines armies 6/6 times? Maybe. But can it beat average Necron and Ork minimum 3/6 times? Dont think it would be possible for casual players
@Abp.Mars-Assembly I think my lists are more about having fun. Winning can be a component of that but trying to go 3/6 or even 6/6 against other top tier armies or lists aren't the intent of most of my content creation. It's focused on well balanced lists that are out of the box and still promote the hobby side of picking cool models and units. I can be competitive, I just find it boring often times. It starts to feel stagnant after a short while. For example, in my local competitive league, I'm currently undefeated. That league list has a Crassus, Thunderbolt, and only a single unit of Kasrkin hanging out in a Chimera. It would never be looked at as top tier. If I took it to the GT at Adepticon this week, at best I would go 4/6. But what I do have is a deep understanding of all of those units and how to use them which lets me adapt a seemingly "uncompetitive" list into a swiss army knife of being able to counter my opponents' strategies, while also making sure both sides have fun and I can be a little relaxed whole doing it. I have beaten Gray Knights, World Eaters, Tau, etc all with that list. So I wouldn't say I am more starter or introductory, but rather asymmetric and atypical. That in of itself, outside of the wisdom on how to use units in unexpected ways, grants me an advantage in games.
I intend to do more again. I am also an event organizer so that takes up a lot of my time, but I am working to build a group of contant opponents to come and film with.
i mean i really love your content but its so less I would also love to hear your tactic ideas and what missions do play how :) Have a great Weekend cheers as i said BIG FAN!
I don't understand how you aren't bigger given the production quality of your videos and how great your painting is! Army looking great!

Best guard channel on YT!!
Loved playing against you in that last game, and very glad you didn't bring out the 2nd Rogal Dorn!

Thank you very much for the information. I am a new player, and this helps me ALLOTT. Do you have a downloadable listing?
Not anymore. I just cleaned my app out of older lists 😔
No Lord Solar?
Trying to put together my 1500-2000pts Guards and literally everyone else says Lord Solar is fantastic for 2k & above games?

Votann bikes have fly, you are probably thinking GSC
Oh that is true! I forgot about those hover bikes!
@@CadianSergeantSteel I only know because I also play the Angry Space Dwarves
Arty commander gets it for 30 inches not 18. Scout setinel is 18 inches i know very late
You're correct. I always say 18 for whatever reason. I do it in a later video too.
@CadianSergeantSteel all good bro. Looking forward to the krieg review and tricks. I know alot of but can learn new tricks
My wallet. Took a devastating blow after watching this. Those aircraft are too cool not to add to the collection, lol
Keep up the good work 😎
Thanks, will do! And uh sorry about your wallet... 😅 I feel you
