Ooh, that's so nice to hear. :,) Glad this made an impact on you, hope you get to try this sheet yourself someday too! ^^ It's not that simple, but it sure is meaningful once you get it~ And thank you so much for watching! :)
I think it'll be a while before I start arranging B/W stuff haha, I'm probably going to do a Hoenn collection next. :p But I do love a bunch of the B/W arrangements that are already up on NinSheetMusic, so you'll probably see live versions of that more than my own sheets :) Hope that works!~
Your work was exactly what I was looking for. you're so incredibly talented and really give me some pieces to study during piano lessons!! Thank you so much
Yeah...that last section. xD Anyone who learns this piece should start there, and work that section until, at minimum, the notes are there. It's really quite tough~ And thank you for stopping by! :)
+Jessica Munoz I suppose loneliness is the general feel of this track, yeah! ^^ It's very tranquil and solemn. Gotta love it for that :) And thank you for watching! :)
@@cryptonix02 god man i was playing it when i had nothing to worry about and life was perfect man i was oblivious and didn’t know life would be this awful
+AdiGer Haha yeah, this channel hasn't done enough BW...or anything other than DPPt/SM welp. :p It's going to change soon! ^^ Glad you enjoyed this one though :)
This is really nice stuff and I appreciate what you're doing with all the sheets for game music! The link in this video for the sheets didn't work for me though, is there somewhere else I could get the music? Thanks
You got me! :) I probably will be doing that at some point, yep. I've also got the "Unwavering Heart"/Emotions Theme already recorded, so expect that too ^^ I think Shota Kageyama's melodious piano solos starting from Gen V were a pretty welcome addition to the OSTs - they really helped intensify sensitive moments and give the plot a lot more depth. They did get a little corny in Gen VI, but hey, that's for a whole other discussion~ Glad you enjoyed the show! :)
Hey, it's nice you know the Chrono Trigger OST! ^^ Yep, you bet I know it, and I actually know it quite well ahaha. I mean, it is the most monumental game soundtrack of the previous generation, along with FFVI~ I think you're talking about the four-note motif with a rising step sandwiched between two similar notes an octave apart: Bb-Eb-F-Bb in "Secret of the Forest", F#-A#-B-F# in "Memories of Green", and an eight-note extended version in "Final Battle". The effect is a non-functional (in terms of harmony) flourish, which is kinda what the bulk of this piece is based upon - except in "Dragonspiral Tower" the step up is chromatic instead of diatonic. ^^ Ahaha yeah, there's lots of nerdy stuff hidden in VGM. ;) Hope it made some sense~
I'm deciding on either this or the bass part from Sir Duke (Stevie Wonder) for a school solo performance. Thank you very much for this super interesting take on the theme, and all your works in general!
Yep! As Ben said I did a cover of "Sympathy and Sincerity" from GtI a while back. ^^ It was an artsy little thing with a concept and all - when I first heard his arrangement I was so captivated that I went to read up on the GtI plot and all of that stuff. Yep, I hadn't even played the game haha. ruclips.net/video/NxS0zYLgKeU/видео.html Here's the link if you wanna check it out ^^
I am always so impressed with your videos! Pokémon and piano make a great combination. I was wondering if you have any tips for arranging piano music from songs. I've always played by reading sheet music, but I can tell the basic melody and the key of the song. There's this song I want to play but no one has done an arrangement of it so I decided to start trying to learn how to arrange music now.
Glad you like my stuff! And yes, Pokemon music has the perfect balance of intricacy and melodiousness - so that makes it one of the OST collections that is best suited for piano renditions :) As for arranging tips...I'm going to do a full in-depth tutorial series soon, so that would be a better guide than whatever advice I can give you now, but the only piece of advice that works consistently across all arrangers is simple: do more arrangements. :p Feel free to pop by ninsheetmusic.com and share your stuff too! ^^ It helps to have a community that can assess and review your work, so you can improve from the criticism and comments :) I mean, arranging is not that straight-forward, and there's lots of little details that have to be learnt through experience...so for now, feel free to try whatever works, and I'm sure you'll refine your method in no time~
+Raikaska I don't remember seeing a track with that title in the OST, but yeap - this track does draw lots of inspiration from Chrono Trigger tracks. ^^ Thanks for watching!~
"What emotion do we want the player to feel when they hear this song"
The developers: "yes"
So majestic and mysterious...I love the memories of Pokémon Black you've brought me once again today, Daj. AMAZING piece you've done. Thank you!!
"majestic and mysterious" indeed! ^^ That's the essence of this track for sure :)
And thank you for your support as always Tyler :)
Gave me goosebumps. That never happens. Well done.
Ooh, that's so nice to hear. :,) Glad this made an impact on you, hope you get to try this sheet yourself someday too! ^^ It's not that simple, but it sure is meaningful once you get it~

Yay! You've started doing B/W songs!

I heard this from spotify last year and i didn't know that you have a channel here until now xD. Love your music, sooo soothing
Your work was exactly what I was looking for. you're so incredibly talented and really give me some pieces to study during piano lessons!! Thank you so much
One of my favorite and most nostalgic pieces from B/W, I could never get my head around the last section though, great job!
Yeah...that last section. xD Anyone who learns this piece should start there, and work that section until, at minimum, the notes are there. It's really quite tough~
And thank you for stopping by! :)
beautiful piece, nice performance
Every time I hear you play the piano, it encourages me to keep striving to play it and never surrender, to become like you :))

I originally played B2W2 when I was pretty lonely.

Amazing as always Daj! Remembering dem Druddigons... Gen V tho... perhaps N's farewell next? Better get some tissues:')
You got me! :) I probably will be doing that at some point, yep. I've also got the "Unwavering Heart"/Emotions Theme already recorded, so expect that too ^^

daj does VGM talk about being excited.:)
I personally really love N's farewell, Shota really hit the spot there. + N's character is just so great.
AMAZINC.
Have you checked out the Chrono Trigger OST? The pieces there are pretty similar to this particular track
Hey, it's nice you know the Chrono Trigger OST! ^^ Yep, you bet I know it, and I actually know it quite well ahaha. I mean, it is the most monumental game soundtrack of the previous generation, along with FFVI~

Ahaha yeah, there's lots of nerdy stuff hidden in VGM. ;) Hope it made some sense~
yep also the descending chromatic motif is prevalent in some of the chrono trigger tracks (cant remember which oops)
"Lavos' Theme"? Ahaha that's a pretty memorable one. ^^ "Battle with Magus" has a really solid modal thing going on too~
I'm deciding on either this or the bass part from Sir Duke (Stevie Wonder) for a school solo performance.
Thank you very much for this super interesting take on the theme, and all your works in general!
That was beautiful
It's a beautiful arrangement made exactly right for the piano too; don't forget to check Bespinben out in the description~
daj does VGM bespinben?
At the staccatissimo part, are you doing the two octaves? I'm trying learn that part, but the leap is really big!
Bespin's sheets are great ^^ maybe try a pmd one next?
Daj did a PMD cover a while ago of "Sympathy and Sincerity" -- definitely one of my favorite covers of his ;)

+Raikaska
I don't remember seeing a track with that title in the OST, but yeap - this track does draw lots of inspiration from Chrono Trigger tracks. ^^
Thanks for watching!~
Thank you for uploading! Just found you out and adore how you play :# Keep it up!
Maybe Secret of the Forest? There are several similarities in terms of sound in that one.
