While many travelers will ask for "down and out" ... this is **EXACTLY** why I never do. Being at isolated end of corridor - and where many times there is a stairwell right next - is dangerous for many reasons.
I worked in hotels for 24 years. Employees have turned peepholes around backwards and with technology they now know when guest leave. Thieves will be able to unlock doors with phone apps most likely. Hotel security is laxed, they should have seen this
There's an inexpensive hotel door lock you can buy online that allows you prevent any door whether hotel or air BNB from being opened. Downside is it has to be applied from the inside. So you can use it if you're leaving your room. Still, it's nice to have so you sleep more peaceful
Bingo ! Plus , she was at a hotel near the airport and she's traveling alone. Alot of human-traffickers work at spas and hotels because single women frequent these places. In Atl you should never go to an oriental spa due to the fact alot of girls go missing at those spas.
That’s why we don’t stay in hotels anymore. I had someone use a key once to get into my room. When I told the front desk, their reaction wasn’t too surprising. Yep.
She should have snatched the device out of their hands. At least that would prevent them from doing that to someone else for a while. Or if you're a crazy person, stand to the side and wait for them to come in and knock them out with something. GotEm!
The towel can be easily pushed aside, but I can see it causing confusion to the potential intruders and some time delay. The other concern is that the tool could also be small enough to squeeze through those gaps around the door frame.
Wth is wrong with people? Do they have no fear ! I’m assuming they’re obviously in a hallway doing this, where anyone can walk by. Why is she smiling the whole time. I get that she’s happy nothing else happened but damn, she’s just smiling and laughing.
It's the hotel's security issue. When I stay at a hotel, I'll stay on the high floor and away from the staircase. So, people can't hack into my laptop from the parking lot, and the thief has less chance of getting away. I avoid Airbnb for hidden cameras, staying at an unknown place, and hacking on my computer.
Exactly how a real Californian would handle criminals, just let the criminals get away and let them commit the crime again and again and again and again and again........🤣🤣🤣
It was probably the hotel staff trying to unlatch the door guard so they could open the door and get her out of the room. She’s a squatter, refusing to leave passed her checkout date. Homeless people do that
@@Cerez78 yeah they call and knock on the door, but if they refuse to leave, the last resort is the open it manually. The police can’t make them leave if they’ve been there long enough, cause it’d be considered a tenant on long stays. They’d need to be evicted. My family has a hotel, so it looks like that’s the situation to me.
If you are ever in a hotel room you need to have one of those little door stops and shove it under the inside of the door. Even if they get the door handle they aren't moving that door stop. Especially if you're holding it in place with your foot.
This might be a good opportunity for an invention. Someone should invent a device that you put on the bottom of the door to seal the crack so people can't do this. They have rubber liners that go in between a stove and a counter top to prevent food crumbs and crud from falling in between. Maybe you could use something like that, but you'd have figure out a way to secure it in place. Or maybe you could use one of those rubber threshold or floor liner things that I think is meant secure carpeting or floor tiles to the floor in a doorway.
Decades ago when we took our kids to Disney-world, I had our youngest keep his ‘Garfield attack cat’ (which had been stuck on the inside passenger window) because back then - - - those were a ‘hot’ item and the news had reported that creeps were breaking car windows to steal them. He had received it on his birthday. We get back that evening and the ONLY thing missing was that attack cat, not some nice jewelry that I had left there, not the game boys, not anything else. I reported it because I knew housekeeping had been in our room and he was very upset. I reported this to management and he just shrugged it off rather rudely. We didn’t ever stay at another ‘Days Inn’ again.

I worked in hotels for 24 years. Employees have turned peepholes around backwards and with technology they now know when guest leave. Thieves will be able to unlock doors with phone apps most likely. Hotel security is laxed, they should have seen this
Wow, she seemed to think it was funny.
Note to self… Don’t stay at Holiday Inn since they apparently have horrible security.
Yes because that's exactly how you look for a friend. Nah Debra get one of those metal things that goes between the door that will work lol
I’d be so scared
A bite worse than a bark would be beneficial.
Yeah stopping this with your fingers seems like child's play, but what if you're in the shower or asleep at 4am?🤷🏿♂️
There's an inexpensive hotel door lock you can buy online that allows you prevent any door whether hotel or air BNB from being opened. Downside is it has to be applied from the inside. So you can use it if you're leaving your room. Still, it's nice to have so you sleep more peaceful
You can also use a fork. If you break it in half and jam the prongs in and then leverage it with the other half. ;)

Airbnb’s aren’t much safer
That is so super scary. OMG!!! To think they got away as well because there is no picture of the couple.
Between burglars and bed bugs, now you know never to stay at the ghetto Holiday Inn. Avoid at all costs -- they don't care about you!
Always leave the tv on and the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your hotel room door when you leave for a couple of hours.
Wait, isnt crime legal in California?
With all the video surveillance and cameras everywhere, it's hard to believe the hotel has no footage of the culprits! Sounds like an inside job🧐🙄
Bingo ! Plus , she was at a hotel near the airport and she's traveling alone. Alot of human-traffickers work at spas and hotels because single women frequent these places. In Atl you should never go to an oriental spa due to the fact alot of girls go missing at those spas.
I'm so tired of people! You cant do shyte these days without these weirdos always trying to do something to someone!
This is why you put a chair under the door handle and ALWAYS latch the door!
They knocked on your door to see if the room was empty before they tried to break in
Imagine the fun someone could have with an extension cord and a jumper wire.
Sinister yet justified. I like it.
People actually travel without a weapon? That Holiday Inn would have needed a new door and a serious carpet cleaning.
That's why I always use the top latch lock that's located on the top inside door
That’s why we don’t stay in hotels anymore. I had someone use a key once to get into my room. When I told the front desk, their reaction wasn’t too surprising. Yep.
Yeah, I walked in on guests once because the front desk gave us the wrong key and room number.
She should have snatched the device out of their hands. At least that would prevent them from doing that to someone else for a while. Or if you're a crazy person, stand to the side and wait for them to come in and knock them out with something. GotEm!
High-powered tazer as soon as they open the door.
Baby you Betta then me cause I woulda been standing behind that door w my piece ready and waiting like 🙂
Stuffing a towel into the crack at the bottom could help.
The towel can be easily pushed aside, but I can see it causing confusion to the potential intruders and some time delay. The other concern is that the tool could also be small enough to squeeze through those gaps around the door frame.
This is why I bring those "travel door locker" whenever I went to travel.
This is absolutely not new, I remember a very similar video some years ago, exact same technique.
Wth is wrong with people? Do they have no fear ! I’m assuming they’re obviously in a hallway doing this, where anyone can walk by. Why is she smiling the whole time. I get that she’s happy nothing else happened but damn, she’s just smiling and laughing.
Cuz she faked it all, and she doesnt realize she's about to go to jail for filing a false police report???
Ignorance is bliss…
@@MoveoverAndbark…huh? Proof please…
Maybe she had a .45 in the other hand and was waiting for them to open the door to turn them into Swiss cheese.
I would have honestly been crying.
My dad was staying in Hawaii hotel. They entered the room and it was a hotel employee. I think the employee was trying to rob them
She's too chill...good and bad. I'd just yank it out at this point and go bat sh*t crazy. They've done this many times to act so brazen.
If I were in the room, I would have waited, waited and put on earmuffs. The second the door is opened, I light him up right in the chest😂
Keep in mind since the Tops supermarket shooting the new protocol is either 2 chest and 1 head or 2 chest and 1 pelvis.
2A 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎
yeah, you will be shot down before that happened.
No you wouldn't
@@sec0ndton0ne408 yes he would and I would too
That’s scary, I can’t believe she’s able to laugh about it.
Never Stay at a Air B and Bad...Never!
Whoaa…what if she was in the shower or asleep and they got in and killed her?
Oh shuddup, and bounce them cheeqs up on my lizzzaaaap
She says she will start staying at Air BnB but how are they any safer?
Really depends🤷♀️
Why didn't she yank the stick away from them?
I already know who it was without seeing the suspects!
No description of the suspects?🤔
It was whyte-trailer-trash, there's your answer.
He was wearing a red MAGA hat and is a graduate of Trump University.
Why wouldn’t you jerk it out of their hands so they can’t use the tool anymore?! God, some ppl have no common sense 🙄
Exactly how a real Californian would handle criminals, just let the criminals get away and let them commit the crime again and again and again and again and again........🤣🤣🤣
I'm real Californian. the door would of been opened and the garbage looking up a barrel
It was probably the hotel staff trying to unlatch the door guard so they could open the door and get her out of the room. She’s a squatter, refusing to leave passed her checkout date. Homeless people do that
Hmm I never thought of that. Why didn't they knock or communicate in some way to her through the door? It's definitely possible now that u mention it.
Make one with a fork, ruclips.net/video/eHcnxQFBZRg/видео.html
"Its fine, just stop with with a few fingers lol." Ok, lets see how well that works out for every single person in every single scenario....
Give them Capital Punishment and be done with it.
CA dreaming
The upper door lock was closed, so even you get the handle pushed down you can open the door only a gap.
WHAT DA FUQ!?
Man, immediately at the same time I would've be on the phone with 911, and demand security cameras to press charges and also ask for those images to be shared on this segment. Omg! I am fuming over this!! Those mfkers should have been arrested
Post the faces of these would be burglars…the hotels have cameras.
Why is she smiling and talking about it casually, she was about to be made into a "skin suit" ...why was she videoing it, if that was the actual video, she shoulda been screaming and grabbing something to kill the people with??? Is it a social media fake video??? If it is, then the hotel is gonna be upset...and why is this method of accessing hotel rooms from outside being shown...what precautions besides the ones in place should be shown???
I was thinking the same thing!
Have people totally lost their sense of defense?
You ask a lot of good questions. I question the credibility of the video and the lady filming. She could be a drug addict or this could be scripted for social media points.
