Hi Eddie. What a lovely misty morning to start with. And then just so many stunning views from the tops. Thought I'd seen it all but obviously not! Thanks, this is definitely on the list for later this year. Hope you all enjoyed your day. I'm sure you did. All the best.
Hi Peter, it is a great walk with stunning views and definitely a walk we will be doing again sometime. The mist at the start of the walk made the views even better. We had a great day. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Thanks Anthony, it was a cracking day and the weather certainly helped make it even better. Another walk we really enjoyed. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi Eddie and Carol, another enjoyable vlog on a stunning day. I have just returned from a fortnight in the Lakes. On the day of your walk I was going up Scafell Pike via the Corridor route. I experienced the same amazing cloud inversion at Styhead Tarn. Funnily enough I met another walker near there and we were discussing your channel. We both said how much we enjoyed it and that the sun always seems to shine during your walks. All the best, Paul
Hi Paul, Scafell Pike via The Corridor Route is a a great route, I bet the inversion at Styhead Tarn was spectacular. It is good to hear such positive comments about my channel and certainly gives me the motivation to keep producing the videos. I often get comments about the good weather on our walks, we must hit on lucky with the sunshine, ha! We really enjoyed this walk up to Great Dodd etc it was a walk with great views and fairly straight forward paths to follow and of course good weather! Thanks again for watching & for the positive feedback, it is appreciated. Take care & Best Wishes from Carol & myself.
Really enjoyable walk this. I think these fells are definitely better walked on that looked at 🤣 Your videos are easily the best for noting routes and route info Eddie. Love them. Stay safe and well, Adge
Thanks Adge. It was a great walk, we had a great day. The views were superb all the way and the weather certainly helped, Thanks again for watching & for the positive feedback, it is really appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
A great and inspiring video Eddie as always. Those cloud inversions at the start looked absolutely magnificent! Another route for me bag soon! Thanks for posting this, Matt
Hi Matt, thanks. This was another cracking route, made even better by the weather and the inversion at the start of the walk. Definitely a walk we will be doing again. Hope your knee is healing ok. Thanks again for watching & commenting, it is always appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
@@eddiecaisley5746 Hi Eddie it’s not doing to bad thanks. Thanks for asking. A slow process but I’ll get another view of how it is doing on Tuesday when I see my consultant/surgeon. Hopefully not too long before I get out on the fells again!
Another cracking video, thanks for posting. Did (pretty much) the same route a year ago, but did an out and back to Raise before heading over to Hart Side. Like you, we had superb views! The path back to Dowthwaitehead was the wettest most boggy path I think I've ever walked on, was glad to reach the farm and the road back to High Row. That said, it looked okay for you!
Hi Gavin, thanks. It is a really good walk with cracking views. We did consider going over to Raise after Stybarrow Dodd like you did, but decided to leave it for another day. The path down was boggy in places, but not too bad. I can imagine it being really boggy after a spell of rain though. Thanks again for watching & commenting, Gavin it is always appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi guys. It was a cracker of a day that day. I was up on the Mell Fells, if I’d have know I’d have given you a wave. 🤣 The video is up on my channel. Thanks for sharing your day with us as always. Cheers Dave. 😀🥾⛰
Hi Dave, it certainly was a cracker of a day. It was great to climb out of the mist and see the blue skies. This was another great walk with stunning views. I will have a look at your video as we still have Great & little Mell Fell to do. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi David, thanks. It was a really good walk with stunning views. The inversions made the views heading up even better. We had a great day. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
The amount of times I have looked at these and thought should I go from Dockray, Glenridding or Thirlmere, as I need to do Whiteside and Raise as well. After much mulling about, I then I leave it and do something else instead. Good to see you out with your brother and that mist lifted very quickly, the amazing views from Great Dodd! Looked nice easy walking once you had made the initial assent with brilliant views all around. What a brilliant walk that looked and so quiet from the Dockray end as well, mind made up I think. Nice to remember your other brother on this walk and nice to see the weather came out for him too, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, it is a really nice walk, a few boggy bits, but nothing too bad. We found it good walking with grassy paths all the way. The views were stunning and it is definitely a walk we will be doing again sometime. We have done Stybarrow & Watson's Dodd before, going up the Thirlmere side via Sticks Pass. We found this route much better. It was good to have my brother, Gary, with us on the walk and we had our other brother, Eric, in our thoughts. His passing is still hard to come to terms with, he is missed by us all. Thanks for watching & commenting Alan, it is appreciated. Take Care. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi, it is a really good walk and will be even better with Clough Head added on to the route. We did consider going over to Clough Head, but decided to keep that for another day. Thanks for watching & commenting, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi Stephen, yes it was a cracking day. Never been around Loughrigg Tarn, will have to visit sometime. Hope you are both well. Thanks for watching & commenting, it is always appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie,
We were doing those the same day! We parked at the mining museum and then got a taxi to Glenridding, then did birkhouse moor, Catstycam, Helvelyn and all the way along that ridge. The inversion in the morning was epic!
Hi, that sounds like a great route you did. It was great seeing the inversion, never been lucky enough to see one until now. We really enjoyed this walk, one day we might try the route you did. Thanks for watching & commenting, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Thanks Alan. It was a first for us, starting at High Row. We have been on these fells before, going up from Sticks Pass but found this route more enjoyable. We had a cracking day with great weather and superb views. Thanks again for watching & commenting, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Cracking hike Eddie, and fantastic video. Nice to have Gary with your too and as ever you got the weather! Loved the inversion photos and the visibility all round. All those peaks were higher than I thought too. Hope your holiday planning is going well. We got back 2 days late as Aer Lingus cancelled our flight at 9.30 at night! Home now and catching up! Regards, Ashley
Hi Aahley, thanks. It was a cracking walk in great weather, we all had a great day. It was good to have my brother Gary with us. He enjoyed the day. You will be tired after the delay in getting home, unbelievable how they cancelled your flight so late! Hope you took plenty of footage while you where away. We are really looking forward to our holiday now, it will be nice to get away abroad again. We were in Edinburgh last Tuesday seeing Bruce Springsteen at Murrayfield Stadium, it was a great concert. Good to hear from you. Cheers. Eddie.
@@eddiecaisley5746 You seem to like the old rockers!! I'm a bit more sedate in my music taste but "Born in the USA is a bit of a classic". Got great footage away for about 10 videos but when am I going to get to make them?! The 12 day holiday became 14 days as we couldn't get a flight home and had to go by taxi to Heathrow from Southampton - long story but we felt abandoned. We will be compensated by the airline but the stress factor was very high! Hiking is a lot less stressful. thx, Ashley
Starting to think you have contacts in the weather forecast department Eddie....stunning views and those inversions ain't to shabby either ⛰️👌....ATB Andrew
Hi Andrew, ha! my secret is out, I will have to change my contact now! This was a really good walk with stunning views. The inversions made the views even better on the way up. Huge Well Done to you for completing the Wainwrights, going to watch your Coniston video now. Thanks again for watching. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi, it was a cracking day. It was good to have Gary with us. He did say his knees were hurting on the way down, he can't hack it, ha! Thanks for watching. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Thanks Pete, this was another great walk and good to have my brother, Gary, on the walk with us. The inversion was great to see, it may have been the shades, ha! Thanks again for watching & commenting, it is always appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Hi, there was no parking charges at the time we did this walk. I did not see any signs for overnight restrictions at the time either. It is a superb walk with great views. Thanks for watching, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.
Really lovely and informative. Great!

Nice one Eddy. You can see the family resemblance. Did your cool shades cause those inversions 🤣?
