Hi Eddie and Carol, well I don't know what to write, I am so overwhelmed by the beauty you have captured in this video. I've never been to Eskdale apart from a trip in the car along the hardknott pass some years ago, and I seem to remember it was raining! So thanks so much for sharing your amazing walk. The views from the top of hard knott and the needle are breath-taking and I loved those waterfalls along the river! I'm glad to see from the other comments how much you enjoyed it. And thanks for adding labels on the fells - so helpful for those of us unfamiliar with the area. Take care and all the best.

Wow. What a beautiful place on a beautiful day expertly filmed. Guide books pre Wainwright were often by Poucher. He also produced books of photos in the Lake District taken on his Leica film camera. I had one of those books and my favourite image of his was taken at Border End at Hardnot. It was looking towards the Scafells and there was, or was about to be, a storm. You had very different conditions but it is equally memorable. Thank you for taking us along. I want to go there NOW!

Another great video and hike Eddie. Did you do Slightside and Scafell from the same starting point? The walk along the Esk was as good as it gets, bit like the Langdale valley, maybe better. Loved your shots at the Needle, almost thought you were going to climb though Carol would probably have stopped you!! I've never kept right though at Lingcove Bridge, I've always only ever gone left to the Great Moss so it was nice to see the route up the back of Hard Knott. I've walked round the fort a few times. Hi David, thanks. We had been putting off doing this walk due to the boggy reputation but to be fair it was not quite as bad as we had been expecting. It was certainly wet under foot in places though! I went for the DJI Mini 3, it seems to have enough settings etc for what I need. I am still learning how to use it fully. I took some drone shots of the Eskdale Needle last Monday when we did the same walk as you & Sue up to Hard Knott. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Take care & Best Wishes to you both from Carol & me.

Hi, Another excellent video and great drone footage. I like the perspective it gives over the ground you are on. It certainly looks wet going to Armboth fell! Views from Fisher Crag over Thirlmere are very impressive. Even better than from Raven Crag i think. Wonder which are the last 8 Wainwrights you have to do? Again many thanks for your fantastic videos.

Hi Geoff, thanks. I am slowly, but surely getting the hang of the drone and you are right, it certainly gives a different perspective. The section going to Armboth Fell was probably the most boggy part of the route. It was definitely worth the effort to get to Fisher Crag, it had the best views of the day. Funny how you mention Raven Crag, we were just there yesterday ( Friday) It was one of the 8 we had left to do. I think I agree with you, Fisher crag was just as good, if not better than Raven Crag. We have spent most of the past week in the Lakes and have got it down to 3 left to do now. Lonscale Fell, Ling Fell & Clough Head. Thanks again for watching & for the positive feedback on the videos, it is appreciated. Take care & Best Wishes from us both.

Hi Eddie and Carol, thanks so much for another great video. I loved the views from the top of High Tove over to the distant fells. And the views from Fisher Crag, that shot looking through the trees across the lake to the fellsides bathed in soft sunlight, was marvellous. It looks like Fisher Crag is quite easy to reach from the road, for those who don't enjoy bog hopping! And maybe High Tove is easy to reach from Watendlath. Thanks again and all the best.

Hi Peter, thanks. Yes you are right Fisher Crag could be easily reached by walking up the forest track from the road, although that track is steeper than it looks! We did consider starting this walk from Watendlath but decided to start from the Thirlmere side. The views from Fisher Crag were the best of the day and well worth the effort to get there. Hi. I did High Tove & the soggy path to Armboth fell earlier this summer & included Bleaberry fell & High Seat too. I was intending to go to Ullscarf but after about a quarter of a mile following the fence from High Tove I realised it was going to be too energy sapping through more bog so I left it for another day & headed down into Watendlath & along the valley back to Ashness bridge & the car near the main road. I've got 25 Wainwrights left over 11 walks so I think you two will get there before me. Looking forward to seeing it on video !
