I have a TDX SP, although the display is different. I was wondering if there was a way to remotely turn the power off, if for some reason the chair is stolen, and I am within viewing distance. I sometimes need to go into public places where I can't drive it, so I need that extra security to assure myself that it won't be stolen.

Now I understand what your saying about preventing it from stolen, my plan should be added anyway but you can get a teck to work that out for you
it will cost some more money but it can be done. It is done with cars, esp
leased cars and when person stops making payments they stop the car somehow, so you can do that for your power wheelchair but be sure to add hidden cameras and lo-jack so at least it is returned by police is anything else fails. Car dealers should be able to help you.

What are your arm pads and hand pads made from?

I know you want to prevent it from being stolen, which I wish I could tell you that but I only know about the hook up for a hidden camera where you live and areas you are plus a lo-jack system so it is at least recovered by the police. That will cost a little money but you would get your chair back very quickly. One way you can prevent it from being stolen is write on your chair it is being watched by hidden camera, that would scare most people who don't want their photo on the internet youtube.

To Sweiland75 my 2 wheelchairs were stolen and I never saw them
again, A nice power chair E&J cost $6,200. in 1980 and a manual
chair $1,000. I was left in bed for monthes and offered a nursing
home to solve my problem. I was advised to refuse the nursing home
since once I got their I would never get out so I refused and stayed in
bed for monthes a friend gave me a spair manual chair and that's
what I had to live with. The state don't replace chairs more often then
5 years and I just got them
