Tony isn’t here to make money. He’s here to make friends
One friend made him fear for his life
He's certainly not making any sense.
and have fun!
We knew that
Right now he's not doing very well at either one.
The dings for "great" is such a good gimmick.
It’s the best
It’s great

Funniest shit
Riho being compared to kill bill should be a crime against humanity
I can hear the 'Bride alarm' going off whenever Jim hears Riho's name......

She's even smaller than GoGo Yubari.
Only people that would make this comparison are people with brain damage.
He thinks that he can punch his way out of a casket buried 6 foot deep
This is why Punk suddenly looks ten years younger.
All he has to do is dye some of those greys and he will look 35
Last words before AEW collapses: "Thanks guys"
Well the collapse was great *Ding
Signing off from Starship Announcement 😂
😂😂
More like first words after the collapse.
I'm sure they would have been on an incredible run of shows, too.
Tony's ability to ignore reality and just create his own is almost admirable.
Golden spoon child
It’s a common condition these days…..
When you have that kind of money at your disposal, you build your own reality.
Shanna Khan turned out alright. What happened with Tony?
Lol Not really admirable anymore bcz a lot people in wrestling ( and the whole world tbh ) do that nowadays.
I can’t believe a owner of a major wrestling company gave cagematch validation 😂💀
There's nothing wrong with Cagematch. The databases are very cool and interesting. As far as the fan ratings and comments are concerned, you just need to understand what they are - and what they are not. Only a highly emotionally invested demographic of hardcore fans is present, it's not a representation of the wrestling audience as a whole. And it's definitely not representative for the general mainstream entertainment audience, that he would need to reach to finally have his company going somewhere, in any way.
I'm not sure Tony gets that. For a self-proclaimed "statistics and analytics guy", that's just baffling. Maybe his understanding of analytics is as _solid_ as his grasp on how the scientific method works...
@@henrygvidonas9573 couldn’t agree more 💯
Tony Khan is the perfect definition of verbal diarrhoea.
The guy is asked about wrestling booking and is saying shit about experimental control groups 😂
And toxic positivity.
I could eat a bowl of Post Alphabits, and Alphaghetti and crap out a more coherent word salad than Tony Kahn.
Remember when internet marks hated McMahon “booking for an audience of one?”
At least McMahon had a good eye for top stars
This is different. Tony is booking for an audience of 100. He is therefore 100 times better than Vince.
Cokie is booking for an audience of Meltzer
Don’t forget collecting wrestlers like action figures then quickly losing interest in them.
Taking Cagematch ratings seriously is even sadder than taking Meltzer's word as gospel like a lot of internet fans do.
Fr
In Tony's mind, he's the greatest booker of all time, ready to threepeat as "Booker of the Year." In reality, his booking should be ranked between someone booking backyard garbage wrestling, and whoever decided the NWA's cocaine angle was a good idea.
Incredibly he already has 3 in a row so looking for a 4th. Apparently it's fans who vote hence why AEW does so well and WWE poorly because anyone still bothering with Old Man Meltzer is just a biased fan.
Cocaine is never a solution...unless of course you dissolve it in water
He truly thinks Gagne, Crockett, Heyman, Cornette, Watts could learn something from him. He's delusional.
MaxxDahl
He’s as delusional as Qanon.
He also defended sex predators like Joey Ryan, Mike Quackenbush and Chasyn Rance after their convictions like his Bitcharoo buddies did. Joey Ryan was on AEW television.
Cornette wondered years ago if Kenny was hooking Dave up with Japanese schoolgirls. Given Japan’s disgusting age of consent, and Dave’s defense of perverts, I wouldn’t be shocked if Kenny and Emi hooked him up with Maki Itoh, and she took the piss on him.
Well hes a coke head😅😂
Tony is arguing that his tournament getting the Collision ratings from 325k to 375k is proof of the great success of his recent booking. People...please don't forget Collision was at 750k-850k with Punk. His argument is one of the dumbest things he's said yet. And that's saying something.
Thanks guys 👀
We're on a great run 😂
This was seriously incoherent, it was very difficult to even understand what he was referencing or talking about
@@thesneakysquid🔔
Nah the fan feedback was the dumbest one yet. Dude is running a business and he’s basing on how great his shows have been on a wrestling fan site. Not ratings, merchandise or ticket sales. He’s basing it on some basement dwellers’ opinions.
Shows have been GREAT this year. AEWFan4LifeWWESux said so.
I've never known anyone else who loves the sound of his voice more than Tony.
Tony's had all these thoughts about wrestling that he's been wanting to get out for 30 years, with no one to tell them to. I'm convinced that's why he does the scrums, lmao 😭

Could have been worse. You could be spending Christmas watching it with him.

Then you add Dave Meltzer to the mix, and your chances of staying sane drastic go down.
The cia should force terrorists to listen to Tony khan. They’ll get info in no time.
Jim and Brian go on break and the wrestling world starts catching on fire. The anticipation waiting for them to come back and just talk about everything going was insane, but I am so glad they're back and these videos are trickling in. lmao

If this is how Tony talks to WARNER BROS it's no surprise they'd rather work with WWE
Now waiting for Jim to review that brilliant, scientifically booked Adam Cole "the devil" angle.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
All we need to know is Tony has somehow buried MJF, Adam Copeland, and Christian Cage. Ric Flair is going senile. Sting is 65, and about to retire. And it looks like the biggest heel for the foreseeable future is Adam Cole. Doink the Clown looks somewhat respectable at this point.
I’d take Heel Doink vs Crush again over AEW at this point.
An Adam Cole who’s injured for the foreseeable future.

From my understanding votes have to be approved. Ever time I see a screenshot of the website. It tells you how many of the votes were "valid". The juice wont be worth the squeeze on that one you would have to waste too much time praising AEW to infiltrate a group of weird marks.
Tony might have been the only person interested in the Continental classic. It was a tournament with no storylines involved, and consisted of some guys who were mathematically out of it. Even his announcers struggled to explain it.
Untrue. Go on any other social media and say bad things about it, you'll find that lots of people were interested. Several dozens, at least.
@@imfreviewsit was garbage and if Tony was smart he would’ve had his hottest upcoming star Swerve win but he’s such a clueless clown when it comes to booking.
@@cantstopwontstop5165 I wouldn't personally call it 'garbage'. It had good action and it was red meat for the fanbase. It created a story for Eddie Kingston, and that's also red meat for the fanbase.
But so many issues.
My biggest problem with it is that for six weeks, you had 12 guys taking up half off of the TV time, because every match had to go to almost twenty minutes, because of course it does. (NOTE: When WWE puts Damage Control and Judgment Day out ever week for a whole half hour, that is a BAD thing, but this is OK, because it's AEW. So say the tribalists).
Some guys had to come out looking like complete chumps - Lethal and Briscoe come to mind.
The overall prize was completely meaningless, except to the guy who won it because he's a mark for himself.
And it did nothing to improve AEW's *business*. It was just a wrestling exhibition.
So I would call it "pointless overall" rather than "garbage".
"I've been booking AEW since the 90s ... in my mind" - Tony Khan 👀
@@imfreviewspointless in wrestling means garbage. Any booking that doesn't have a point to it is worthless. I thought the point of the g1 was to get all the upper card guys (upper midcard/main event), am I wrong?

Tony Khan using Cagematch ratings as a measurement for success is like some random guy using his grandmother's compliment about "how tall you've gotten" and "how handsome you are" in a resume to become the new CEO of a major company.
Yes, the most faithful and invested of hardcore fans are not a representation of his entire current audience - and not even remotely anything close to a representation of the audience he needs to get, to grow AEW.
It's almost impossible to reach casual fans by tailoring your product exclusively for the tastes of superfans. It's completely impossible to make them stay long-term as regulars that way. Chili-garlic-flavoured cola has a very limited potential to get a major market share for a reason.

They tried to take Tony to rehab, but he said no, no, no.
Hearing Tony khan talk is painful
With "experimental booking" now out there... Can't wait to see The AEW Referees vs The AEW Cameramen in Blood & Guts this coming summer.
😂
I hate that term so much. All booking is “experimental” because you never know how the audience will react, even when you try to control most of the variables. He acts like poor decisions are groundbreaking discoveries in wrestling and wants a pat on the back for it.
Starring Cutlet on the camera man side, who gets eliminated first because everyone finds him annoying and too mud show for the match.
I honestly think Tony's irrevocably insane. He's completely divorced from reality.
He sounds like every CEO ever. Unable to take any responsibility at all.
Tony Khan, one of the minds of a generation
He is a free thinker... at least in the sense that no-one would want to pay even a penny for his thoughts!
Truly one of them
Imagine if a director or a producer talked about how successful his film was because people on IMDB gave it a high rating.
I take that back. Most films on IMDB have more than 100 ratings.
also WWE has Punk which is why they got a 3rd show lol
The absolute absurdity of Tony’s comments on Riho is my favorite part. I refuse to believe anyone has ever watched a riho match and said man I’ve gotta come back next week to see what she will do. Also I’m convinced now he’s booking things with stories in his head and expecting people to just get it if we were supposed to without any context get kill bill from riho coming back. Did he also think the tournament was like the karate kid?
Just the idea of putting the belt on a woman who’s under 100 lbs is insulting to almost every other female wrestler in that division.
Womens wrestling is just pointless in any way shape or form.
I swear, I'm looking forward to "The Rise and Fall of AEW" on Peacock more and more. 😂
What rise
AEW isn't important enough to get one of those.
@@jamespaul6315 The story of the original "All In" to the end of the first "Dynamite" in 2019. That was the rise.
The initial impact of CM Punk brought another rise and phase of upward momentum after the first slump and long drought, arguably.
As a TV product, AEW isn't really falling right now with "Dynamite". It's just dead in the water. Viewer numbers have been a lot worse before than they are right now, but it's simply not growing. "Rampage" and "Collision" are a different story. The shrinking live event business is a COMPLETELY different story.

Tony is more interested in getting a high rated match on a website than actually booking matches that lead to something or have a payoff. It's all well and good having these weekly workrate matches but they loose their meaning of they are all the time. When NXT hit it's peak for matches you would get the odd great one on the weekly show but they usually really went overboard for the takeover show.
People when AEW started said those kinds of matches would create a new book period for wrestling... well if it was going to do it then it would have done it already. Like it or not too many matches with stupid spots and 40 false finishes in loads of matches isn't going to bring in new fans because it makes it look even more fake that they thought it was before.
