Larry Camenzind with a surprise semi-final appearance in the “Bionic Bitch” car. The Diamond P camera crews were really careful not to give his car too much of a closeup. NHRA made him drop the “Bitch” in his car name and his next car was simply known as “Bionic”
Anytime Big Daddy, The Snake or to a slightly lesser degree, Bad Bob Glidden left a big glowing RED light back at the tree it made instant News headline's throughout the Racing World due to it's rarity, I mean that just ALMOST never happened 🤷🏻♂️ I remember being happy that Ace won FC, his never winning a AATF/FC Championship is one of the great Injustices in the all of Motorsport's, I've always likened it to Mark Martin never winning a Winston Cup Title, both Ace & MM were just too damned GREAT to have that happen to them 🤷🏻♂️ Btw, my man Snake shook that red light right off at INDY a couple week's later! 💪😏

That's what I loved about Larson. Humble as hell, just wanted to race & win if he could.
