The basic dynamic of true captailism is having a huge low paid workforce to make the rich even richer. President Lincoln didn't abolish slavery because he was a nice guy who sympathized with slaves...he just knew that in a modern economy in the post Industrial Revolution it would be WAY better for the economy to have tons of low wage workers who could contribute to the economy than millions of people who were working for free. That basic idea has never changed. That's why they brought all these illegal migrants in to work for low wages now

How much do they raise their prices? We don't always know. They have hired the second most law firm in the country designed at breaking unions. The hospital system drags their feet and are late to meetings. They make negotiations difficult and will not go to a free location but rather a local hotel conference room that charges over $500 a day and then demand the ONA pay the fees. They are illegally in contact for strike crossings RNs and are willing to pay them over 3k a week! The top VPs make 5x or more than staff nurses and also are RNs themselves and know better! They scoff at any legitimate and fair requests the union make, enough is enough! We as RNs are on the verge of striking, please support us so we can support our patients and take care our community. The economy tends to stair step until it balances out. However, that can take years and be very painful for many people. I do agree with you though, corporate greed has played a big role in all this. And just as important, they have taken over the power of government legislation.

@citizengoodman8023 Employment is the problem. I think this is the end result of unrestrained capitalism and exploitation of labor. No system is perfect. I'm advocating for self-reliance instead of employment-reliance. It's as simple as going back to being producers instead of consumers.
Growing our own food instead of going to grocery stores. Living within our means in spite of the false abundance around us. Saying no to rent, mortgages, and debt.
