- In this video I show you how to make lower thirds and overlays without Canva or Photoshop for free so you can use them in your videos and live streams as overlay templates.

These will be transparent PNG files that are easy to make and you don't need to pay for or upgrade a service to make them.
To make your lower third we will use a free browser based service called Photopea.com. It works like Photoshop, but it's free and works from your browser with any computer, phone, or tablet.
Unlike Canva, you don't have to have a PRO account to save a transparent PNG image, which is needed for all overlays that you want to see through in your videos or live streams.

Most helpful. Thank you much!
Happy to help!
Even your background is also helpful for me, to see how beautiful and attracts the viewers. Thank you.
Glad to be helpful. Getting your set / background together is something everyone should do. Come up with a style that fits your style.
Thanks for the info, very helpful.....I haven't totally committed to doing lives but have been researching the best ways of doing it.....
Happy to help! You'll wish you would have started sooner after you do your first live.
Thanks Dee this is awesome ❣caught the replay
Glad you enjoyed it, Penny.
I use canva and Gimp for most of my graphics, been exploring photopea since getting your templates
It's great. Canva has its strengths as well.
Would love to know how you resized them by selectin all
Hi Dee. Do the Streamer Templates work on OBS? I use OBS for my production Show.....Thanks for any help..
Hey Jim! Yes. The files are a mixture of backgrounds and transparent overlays. For the multi cam shots, if you pull in multi cams or guests into OBS, you will need to create a scene that shrinks the cam source to fit on the 2 cam (or 3, 4 cam) files. However, single cam files work perfectly. You would add them in front of or behind your source cam. If something isn't working, contact me via support on the site and I'll help you out. If I can't get you sorted, I'll issue a refund. That said, you will need to use something like Photoshop or Photopea to add your text (or remove text if you add it via OSB), change colors, and so on.
Cool
How are you doing overlays that move?
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
@StreamYard Is it possible to use a video loop for our backgrounds instead of an image?
Not currently. You might be able to make a highly compressed GIF and do it that way, but nothing for video yet.
