Yes. Also interested in how you transition those older dated designs to new ones. What to keep what to transition and how to diy a piece to make it work.
Well, it looks like I am current again because I never left traditional style. Classic is always, “in”. Quality furniture, lovely fabrics, gorgeous colors and creamy neutrals have always provided the backdrop that says Home. I very much appreciate your presentation: soft background music that does not overwhelm your voice, calm and pleasant description without loud, overly fake, enthusiasm or excitement, and a few actual moments to take in the photos, rather than zipping through so quickly, making it impossible to appreciate. I subscribed, so keep the great content coming. Thank you.
Choices definitely depends on the area. The 2 places we will be putting ceiling light are areas that we do not want to distract from our view out to pool and lake.
Nope... The trend is that you will see MORE of those architectural traditional elements in interiors - more crown mouldings, more panel moulds and yes, more classic columns. Thanks for commenting!
The oversized lighting is making my eye think the furniture is miniature toys. I am not sure this will last. Hmmm. I love the curves. Bring on the curves!
Does anyone have tips for finding useful reference images? Most seem to come from very unique or expensive settings. I've even started hunting airbnb (with measured success).

Thank you ✨🙏✨I’m really curious about timeless trends.. for example Coastal oversized pendants..(😂😂😂 I’m in Perth Western Australia. It’s a warm 37 degrees and your sitting in front of a window with rain🌧️)
It's not for everyone...but that is what's great about my job! There's something for everyone and it's my job to make it happen! :) Thanks for watching!!
I really like your presentation style, its relaxing but knowledgeable and informative. I loved almost all the trends, " new takes on great classics", my favorite forever style, the oversize lighting one was a bit daring for me. Some of them did look appealing, if your room is large enough to handle them. I really liked the traditional details paneled walls, trim moldings etc.. and the art deco style too. Keep up the good work. Im enjoying watching.
Yes! If you're a dog mom, this is a must. But I've also seen newly built homes with a dog wash incorporated into the design, anticipating the new owners may have a pet. There are so many pet people these days, it really comes in handy!
Hello...Good evening from my Country...Your design is fantastic and beautiful...i love it so much. My Bathroom's size is 6ftX6ft. Can i use 16inch Tile for wall and floor? Thank you so much for sharing your great work...designchickee
We've just finished painting our kitchen and family room a soft, light, golden beige shade. Watching your video makes me feel better about our color choice. :)
Anyone interested in what's going OUT of style? Like this comment and I'll follow up with another video!

Thank you for your kind words and feedback. Much appreciated. :)
I always love your photos that show the concept you’re describing.
Oh good... it takes time to find those images! And images that I like! Thanks for the feedback. :)
@@Designchickee yes time! Those kind of images don’t normally just pop up by luck.

Columns are a trend? Nope, they are classic traditional and have been a “trend” since Ancient Greece

It doesn't have to last... it just has to look right in your space. And that's what matters. :)
Wow , some of those rooms.
Show us some apartments you've done, please, or, maybe, your apartment. Thanks

A window with snow, actually! It's winter in Canada. :)
Glad to hear that open floor plans are a little less popular. Many of those floor plans were just strange. o_0
I have always though some of those open kitchens look like a laboratory.
Deep colors, along with neutrals are on trend. I design and furnish homes... gray is going to the background. Love your advice.
Love the arches ,trims and pannels and dark paints
I thought it was nice that you had a few different suggestions of 2023 trends.. re the lamps for example.
I like the moody look and also the Art Deco look.
Thanks for the video! I can’t seem to get behind the oversized light fixtures!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video!
I have just purchased the wrong size lamp over my round table. But you give me inspiration with this video. Maybe I will be trendy by mistake 🤣😂🤣😂🤩
It's a happy accident! I love those when they happen in my design world. :)
Adore the dog wash - so chic and useful! Making changes to my plans for Reno now that I’ve watched this. Thank you!

Thank you are excellent!
What about a large chandelier over an island? Can it be wider than the island if it's a single, simple candelabra light like Pottery Barn's Lucca?
