are you going to do an updated "free protection" video
Soon. I have a combination planned.
The PC Security Channel [TPSC] great! looking forward to It!
@@Goks45 g data new test plz
Bitdefender and Kaspersky should work together and do a dual Engine Product. That would be awesome :)
Bitdefender offers licenses for their engine so technically Kaspersky could buy one and integrate the Bitdefender engine into their product.
But just because they could doesn't mean they should. Kaspersky has good enough signatures that it doesn't need Bitdefender.
I love you're reviews !! Can you please check = GDATA Internet Security 2019 ?? pls.
this review is 2 years old !!!
Very interesting indeed. The last file was apparantly signed by Rovio, the actual producer of Angry Birds, and the file carried the icon as well. But why it needs to be integrated with Windows Host Services, I do not know. Could you contact Kaspersky for a response? They actually respond, and are pretty good at clarifying stuff. Just personal experience ;)
Hi Leo, G Data is a better AV than it's German counterpart Avira, more features better overall protection yet it doesn't get the same notoriety as Avira does. I also notice that Avast, installed a behavior blocker on it's new 2017 AV improving it's overall protection. Thanks for the demo.
Wilfredo Torres Actually Avira is better ;)
Xsham
Avira relies heavily on signature protection. What happens if their signature and/or heuristic can't detect a threat?
Hands down to the best detection ratio ever I NEED TO INSTALL THIS ON MY COMPUTEEER
Other anti virus products have a better detection ratio :) like Kaspersky or Bitdefender
Kaspersky had 90%
I use G-Data for several years now and it has blocked dozens of phishing attempts and the general trojans. Specially recommended if you use it on a gaming rig, it's very friendly on resources. USB guard feature is great too, you can safely plug in an usb stick with a virus on it, it will all be blocked unless you alow access.
Thanks for a good review. The antivirus part works very well and its much lighter on the system these days. Byt I saw in another professional review that the G Data firewall was rather weak, thats not so good to swap the good windows 10 firewall to a weaker option.
It may be possible to have a review of the current version?
I think the keyboard guard is to protect against rubber ducky attacks. It's a USB device, which is programmed to trick the computer it's a keyboard and mouse, which can do all sort of things.
I would love a refresh on this.
I love that GUI.
Instant like for Beethoven.
Sunuvabich made awesome tracks.
btw the USB Keyboard Guard is protection against USB devices, that act as an keyboard an when they are inserted into a computer the type malicious things, for example they open command line using a keyboard shortcut and then type a malicious script in there..
Big fat thumbs up
without seeing it.. amazing work man as usual.
dang gdata, is good! I currently have fsecure but I will be downloading gdata ans testing it out.
does f-secure slow down your system? did you try out gdata?
Diego Lara You can also try Avira its best :) Product of the year ;)
I tried it it did not slow down my computer at all. I ended up with BitDefender though< I feel too many test show that its the best over all.
Diego Lara Bitdefender is garbage...
if auto pilot is disabled then alerts may come during those 3 files
Yup! Month ago you replied to review quickheal total security 'soon' ....! Waiting for that "soon" to arrive 😂
What is the point in comparing signatures? Shouldn't we be comparing who has the best behavior blocking? Signatures are only good for very low scale harmless malware that may pass BB.
Can you test Bitdefender vs G Data? From my understanding G Data has the Bitdefender engine and its own close-gap engine, which would mean that G Data should always perform as good or better in a detection test. Is this conclusion correct?
i cant see any think because of your resolution, thank you
tx for testing G Data. That was the shortest test I've seen you do on a Antivirus program. You never even gave your opinion on it.... Boo
Ripcord Jr I feel viewers should make up their own opinions based on test results. I want to maintain objectivity for the most part. However, I am planning on making a video listing some of my favorite products. ;)
It's called Emsisoft, and yes.
Im surprised that you dint made any video in recent times on Emsisoft. Wanna say this, i became your fan, just after watching 2 videos. You are doing real time and its great. thank you
I would like seeing a video about antivirus products that do the worst in your tests.
Great video Leoeven 360 dected the trojan you couldn't delete and other paid versions didn't detect it
thats y we use 360 security :P
maybe...i dont know :/
And, with that conclusion, ladies and gentlemen, Avira still has the highest detection ratio in the history of TPSC!
+mankeez That's not true or even possible because there have been cases of 100% detection in the past with other products. Also you can't compare signatures like that cause the samples are different. Avira does have really good signatures though.
The PC Security Channel [TPSC] Oh ok sorry I wasn't aware of that. Also, 100% detection ratio? What product can achieve that? Its not that I dont believe you but tell me please lol
Is it possible to make antivirus testing for norton like you have done to many other popular antiviruses? i'v been using norton for 8 years on this trusty old laptop top and i'v been fine. but lately norton has started to act up and marked many steam games into heuristic norton gen 8.
Starting to consider changing my antivirus if norton has lost it's edge.
ps: got any recommendations for new antivirus? :D
I have tested Norton before, I might do it again soon, but for now you can watch the previous videos.
All right, i must have missed the norton video when scrolled trough video list :D
syrenet on the last TPSC test Norton got a perfect score. Also check this professional test from 1 February 2017.. Norton won prestigious award "Best Protection" -->> www.av-test.org/en/award/2016/
No need to switch your AV coz Norton is the best! :-) And I'v been using Norton for over a decade now and it never let me down!
htc.got3n i just white listed steam so no no longer false positives from there :p
Thanks about video, from iran!!
nice av but i think kts 2017 with tweaked settings and trusted applications mode enabled is the best bet
I've watched maybe 15 of your videos on malware. But I don't understand something and haven't seen you explain it. Given the link to pay ransomware, why can't the authorities trace the data path - where the electronic payment went, to catch and prosecute them? Is the link untraceable, or is it that no law enforcement is doing anything about this type of crime? I guess I also don't understand bitcoin - how bitcoin can have any value, even though it's not legal currency?
bitcoin is almost untraceable. so hackers use them to rob people since it's almost the same thing like Swiss bank, which even police can't even access.
avast 2017 review please... it combines several things from AVG
bitdefender free or g-data? currently using nod32
update:
after watching the whole video, its better if i stick with eset.
Is hitman pro the best anti malware? what is in your opinion the best anti malware/virus?
Love G Data 💯
can you test avast 2017
Patience-Patience, said Leo... so'... [;
test a quhoo360 antivirus it uses 5 av engines and always adds a realtime cloud runtime scan.
0:42 i would rather say it's there to prevent badUSB
can you do avira (free) 2017 review :)
[FNAR]Fireboy16 it's good
Avira seems to screw up a lot of my computers I put it on, but it does have a very good detection ratio but also lacks key features such as ransomware modules and the GUI could be better. I recommend ESET Internet security as of paid products and for free products i recommend Avast Free Antivirus, But Sophos Home's web protection is pretty good when configured correctly, too
CraftingNETWORKS USA Servers I use avira I got no problem but now I am think of replacing avira with avast should I been hearing bad thing about avast ?
If you have low specs, I think you should stick with Avira but if you want, Bitdefender free combined with Sophos home are a really good team and it is free.
Thx I will use that setup on my laptop thx again !
Norton Security 2017 -----> please do this test Leeoo! :)
Again, patience, there are a lot of things to do, and I'm only one person.
Great! Glad you have it on your list! Can't wait for review!
Please review G Data Total Security 2022
I feel sad that you didn't left Beethoven. :(
Could you do the test for AVG ?
Kaspersky vs bitdefender 2017 please
Did you look him up???
please test kaspersky vs bitdefender :c
after i have seen couple of your videos, hitmanpro seem to be the best !!
+Abdrouf Hitman Pro is a second opinion scanner. It does not provide real-time protection.
The PC Security Channel [TPSC] I know, I'm kidding, u saw somebody mentioned UT in other video, I thought it's funny,
any way I'm using pfsense with clamav what your opinion on it,
does it get a chance to review!?
haha. Well, Clam AV, let's just say it's not very impressive (especially on Windows). PFSense is pretty cool for filtering at a router level and I might make a video on that someday. However neither of these should be used as standalone for protection imo.
The PC Security Channel [TPSC] yes I know all the pcs on the network are running Kaspersky but I still found some malwares to some extent due Un awareness. but would really want know how it's perform as it own through pfsense.
I got some filtering packages along side with Google safe browsing list but I can't really test it.
TPSC What's the best free av for Windows?
Primal Groudon Bitdefender free. (My opinion)
Where is the G Data download?
please same test with kaspersky 2017 :c please
emsisoft behaviour blocker vs kaspersky system watcher
Do a vid on the GD demon called Malware
Bro i couldnt find free version in official page. Those things are just 30 days trial version
Mogul Pani Raj G-data is a paid product
Just buy a license, G-data is pretty cheap.
U should make it longer and more in depth video
pwnd-by-blondie This video is just as in depth as most of the full reviews, it is shorter because of better editing, planning and samples, also because of the high detection ratio.
GData best antivirus :)
His voice reminds me of Jerry from the chess network
I will take that as a compliment. ;)
The PC Security Channel [TPSC] you know him
big errol I think he is a bit into chess too
like for Beethoven
Heh, heh, heh, heee... Leo-Leo... (;
what is 100% best antiviris ?
kaspersky is better than all engines
Wrong! Norton eat them all! =)
not really, Norton is not better than kaspersky.
Gianni Rondalli qhoo360 the best it uses bitdefender, kaspersky, zenama, and 2 special coded engies, cloud scan, raw traffic scan and herustic score system.
not really
need new test
First
Second?
Bee-thoven
Lol

I say, why use Windows? Is not antivirus products the equivalent to "ransomware" in the sense that you have to buy a new licence every year. Why not use an Apple system or a UNIX or a friendly version of Linux Linux Mint. You could do all your Internet activities on a system without Windows, and only use Windows for non-Internet use. Why continue paying for an antivirus product year in year out. Antivirus companies are two-faced liars, swindlers, and scam artists they would attempt to sell you an antivirus product for your washing machine if they could get away with it.
