It has that way has been drawing me in for a very long time spent lots of time surfing and exploring the place and there are so many hidden gems just take the durt rd and have a look or the walking trails
Followed your trip right around Aotearoa, and guess what, you have captured the magic and the essence of the country. Thanks for the insights and places I did not know about. Well done, and keep safe for the rest of your journey together
You guys are seeing more of my home country then I have and I've been from the cape to gore, so blessed to be in this country and to watch you your videos, thankyou guys chur to the chur
I'm heading to the north island in December. I'm 32 and haven't been since I was 10. I've watched a ton of your videos and you guys are awesome. Thank you for the videos you make, keep having a great time!
It’s been so awesome watching your journey through New Zealand.. Gonna miss these when you guys leave! But looking forward to following your Journey over the world :)
I will miss your New Zealand posts but I'm so glad you've had such a great time. We had a beach house at Coromandel but now have a motorhome so visit and stay all over New Zealand. After watching this video I think it's time to head back to Hahei for pizza and wine on the beach!
Leaving in two months?! Shame you won't be here for a North Island summer. While way busier, these places you're visiting are magical in summer proper. Long hot sunny days filled with swims and lounging on the beach. The light in summer is different too so all the beautiful blues of the water, greens of the bush and white sand are much more vivid than now. Grass turns a golden brown and the whole vibe is epic.
Can confirm: Even with the summer crowds this place is epic. Immaculate vibes. And the camp ground goes off in summer. You guys need to come back and camp here at the campground and check the summer party vibes. So good.
Met my husband in coromandel town at a hostel, which i dont think is still hostel. spent a month going down the east coast on both islands. Would love to go back for a few more weeks ❤️😃
To anyone planning a visit to our country The Coromandel is the most unique landscape in New Zealand - safe. white sand beaches with a backdrop of unspoilt sub tropical native bush on rugged mountain terrain defines us as a nation...
Rychel, you’re absolutely right-this place is truly a paradise. ❤❤We’re so happy that you’re getting to explore this beautiful part of NZ. 👍👍You both are such an amazing couple-so smart and full of life.💖 By the way, did you end up buying another car? I might have missed that in your vlog. 🤔I hope you were able to sell the one you left in QT. 🙏Sending lots of love to you both, and enjoy your last few months in NZ!❤
It is so beautiful Thank you so much! Yes we were able to sell the one in QT to someone who is so excited to fix it up for his son, and he has loads of time and space to do so. We were really happy to see it go to him. We have just a small daily commuter that we use now. ❤
Tatahi has a backpackers lodge again??? I used to stay there every summer in the dorms, then it changed ownership and they closed the backpackers dorms and turned them into single rooms and "luxury family rooms" in the old backpacers dormitory rooms, for like $300 a night, i wonder if they werent getting much business like that and swapped it back
Wow, very sad that the only way to get to the cove is a 5min $80 ride. We used to camp at Hahei all the time as kids, to be pricing families out of such an incredible part of the country is a deep shame.
The walkway is closed due to destruction - the water taxi is the cheapest option unless you want to break the rules and walk the pathway anyway, but for the environment's sake, we wouldn't want to do that
Okay we are IN LOVE with this region. New Zealand, why are you making it so hard to leave this place?!!!!
Don’t go. Don’t leave. Stay. It’s ok I promise.

Ah! You bring back great memories of when I lived on Waiheke island and sailed to coromandel peninsula and great barrier island. Gorgeous place to be!
Such a gorgeous region

Yes would have been lovely but we are only here on a 1 year visa! :)
@@nickandraychel 😢 Wish you could stay longer. We love sharing our beautiful country with people who respect and appreciated it.
@@nickandraychel Don't worry about the Visa - no one else does, just leave when you want to leave

Grew up here, the things that I used to take for granted. To be honest you could spend a full week in the mandle and not get around to half the sites!
So true, so beautiful!
Wait until you see the south island, you will be blown away.
Never think what you might see, only stand in ore of what you find in life.
that my home .good too

@nickandraychel that's great news about your previous car. 👍🥰 enjoy your time in NZ💖💖💖💖
don't know if u have seen the Narnia movies but the first 2 were filmed here and cathedral cove the beach was used in the second movie
Cool video, are you guys going to do the pinnacles walk in Corromandel?
Thanks! No unfortunately we won’t have time with our work schedules in the last couple of weeks of living here ❤️
this is where they shot narnia
The Coro!..
Love Hahei. My wife's grant parent had a house her and as a young girls she spent the summer holidays here each year.
Oh I love that
Imagine eloping in that cathedral cave, that view would be so pretty in photos hahah
Seriously it would!!!
Miss that tip top ice cream 😊
Sad to see you leave x Ps is Nick wearing long shorts or short strides ?
Hey guys. Rob here from Coromandel's CFM. Just discovered your video,. Are you available for a chat on the radio?
The hot water is from a spring under the sand so you have to dig where the spring is
Ātaahua vlog guys
❤❤

Oh interesting! Yeah they have dormitory rooms again and even our private king room was only $80!
@@nickandraychel amazing! I'll have to go back!!

When the path is repaired there will be a free way to visit Cathedral Cove again :)
🫡👊🏿🙏🏿
Sorry it's hard to leave for you then just maybe make Newzealand home base and become kiwis and travel from here just a thought
Did you say EIGHTY as in eight-zero dollars for a five-minute water taxi? Holy…the walkway was free…:-(
