  • Just because the rubber in your speakers is finished doesn't mean your speakers are. In this video I'm changing speaker surrounds on a Kenwood-stereo using a kit from Simply speakers. Their products can be found on Ebay for example.

    Good vid but don't you have to apply the glue to both the cone and the metal surrounding the cone? That wasn't clear in your vid. Also, why does one have to remove the woofer? Can't one just do the same thing with the cone in the speaker box?

      Thank you! You need to glue both the cone and the metal surrounding to attach it. It should not be a problem to assemble it with everything in place, but I think it is easier to clean and handle the parts when they are loose.

    Nail polish would harden, you mean nail polish remover.
