I was gifted a False Aralia last summer for my birthday and its over 4 ft tall. I currently have it in my large walk in shower with my Stag horn fern and rabbits foot fern. Some of my favorite plants ever!! Thanks for the video.
I recently got two at Home Depot about a feet tall. I cant wait to see them grow and get tall! Can they be outdoors or only bright indirect light? Thanks!
My friend got a new apartment which also has a skylight and she has a MCM theme. I took care of her pet while she was away and when she returned I had left a free standing clear shelf on her counter tope with 6 kitchy MCM toothpick holders using them as little stands for the different air plants to live on and a air plant care goody bag. She absolutely loved them! Toothpick holders from other eras of time have such humor to them or a streamline feel and you can pick them up sure cheap in second hand stores. Just a wacky tip lol.
When I saw the video where you talk about false aralia, I found out my mother has a variegated one but was doing so poorly. I tried to rescue it, but unfortunately it was unsuccessfull :(( there's not a lot of info on the Internet. Great video as usual!!
Loving the glasses! Great video Nick, I'm really liking the Starfish Sanseveria surprisingly, it looks so unusual. Might need to add it to my HUGE plant wishlist 😊🪷💖
I love Staghorn ferns and have three of them in my collection. I also have three air plants including the one you showcased. Two of my airplants have been with me for two+ years. I have had the exact same experience with Hoya curtsii and I adore her. I have a starfish snakeplant as part of my snakeplant collection, I love that there are so many varieties and have nine of them currently. All of my snake plants are close to a east facing window and my starfish is also under a grow light. I have 132 plants in my collection, but only have two Philodendron. The P. Micans and the P. Jose Buono (very small right now). I also only have one Anthurium, the Luxurians. The main reason for only having the one Anthurium is because they get big and space is limited. Nick, I have been subscribed to you channel for years and you are definitely one of my fav RUclipsrs. I have watched you grow in confidence and sass.
I didn't get into house plants until 2022(ish) so I (thankfully) missed out on all the COVID craziness. At the beginning I was trying out everything and anything. Now I know I am NOT a fan of (🚨trigger warning) philodendrons, alocasias, anthurium and most cacti (love the look hate the pain lol). I have however fallen head over heels for Hoyas and I can't even explain how or why.😊💚✌🏽
Today, I bought a Gold Dust dracaena. It looked so cute in a tiny little pot. Lovely little green leaves with a sprinkling of yellow spots. It didn't have a name tag, but I didn't care. Now I discovered it is a small shrub. 😂😂. Oh well, it's is adorable 🎉
Hi Nick! I like your picks. I still need to get my Staghorn Ferns put on planks. Maybe this year! ;-) I do love the look of False Aralia, but have trouble keeping them alive. Maybe you could do a video that includes their care? Thank you so much for sharing!
Fun video as usual. My thriller is a bushy syngonium, unlabeled but maybe batik. It's so full and the color is amazing. My filler is a Happy Bean Pepromia, 8 inches tall in a 2 inch pot. Looks like a little tree. My spiller is my red maranta with those purple under leaves. No real drama here but my diva is definitely my fiddle leaf with leaves turning every which way and brown spots that didn't kill the plant early on. LOL. My underdog is red stem pilia. So cute and dainty. I had fun grading my plants by these standards. Liked this challenge and wonder if it will change next time you do this. Thanks!
I believe the produce junctions in south jersey have false aralias. They’re about 3’ tall. So if you’re into a larger form and an 85% chance of spider mites…cross the bridge 😂
Hey Nick, have you tried the Anthurium Fingers in PON? I cut off all the roots and stuck it in some PON in a nursery pot then set it in a pot with no drainage, filled with water. I haven’t gotten a new leaf, but if you could see the massive thick roots I have no doubt I’m about to get a beautiful leaf. If I could do it again, I wouldn’t have cut off the roots. Im a big fan btw!
Man, I should really get a false Aralia again. Such an elegant plant! As for Anthuriums, you should never ever put them in a terracotta pot. They do best, in my opinion, in a self-watering pot or no drainage system. The channel plant gay for life explains well how that works.
You are my favorite planty person to watch! I love your personality so much, and you have introduced me to many beautiful and unique plants as a beginner plant person! ❤❤❤
I recently got into air plants. My assumption (based on the fact that they absorb moisture through their *leaves* ((are they even technically leaves?)) Is that the fuzzier the leaves the more light and water they need....I have no idea if that's right or not 😅
I missed seeing you when you took your break. Welcome back! Anthuriums are probably not for you (sadly so because they are beautiful plants). In past videos you’ve said there are two things you choose not to deal with: humidifiers and filtered water. That is a reasonable choice. You have so many beautiful plants that grow well for you without the hassle. Anthuriums like higher humidity but need filtered water (unless you’re lucky to have very soft water without chlorine). I can actually tell if I forgot to change my filter by the condition of my anthuriums. Straight tap water is slow poison for them. Loved the Hoya cyrtisii. It seems to be living its best life,
I saw someone grow some Anthurium in pretty low humidity, look up Plant Gay for Life here on RUclips. I'm pretty sure he also uses filtered, maybe Distilled Water, but just a fun fact! Not all Anthurium need high humidity. :)
Very hard water will kill most house plants eventually unless you repot them frequently because of nutrient lockout due to high pH. Some tough outdoor plants like tomatoes are capable of changing the pH next to their root systems but most houseplants are not as capable.
This was really fun to watch- thanks! My thrilleris my Philodendron florida green ; because it has reached my ceiling and is now growing towards my skylight ( probably plotting to escape) My filler is / are al my small succulents ( love them ) My spiller has to be my Hoya polyneura because it blooming right now ❤ The drama is the same as yours and for the same reason 😅 Diva is my Alocasia frydek - i keep it under a grow light but it still struggles And my underdog has to be my Cissus stratia ; i have never seen it in other videos but it such a prolific grower and has beautiful leaves- i got it from a friend as a small cutting - really a beautiful plant ! Greetings from Belgium !
I love these House Plant exhibitions. And your videos are better than ever....so well done. I've watched you since the early days. You have always been a favorite.
My Hoya Curtisii is doing so well in an east facing window. Actually almost all my Hoya are on an east facing window sill and they love it! Love your videos! ❤

That sounds so beautiful. What a gift!
I love airplants, I just chuck them into my aquarium to water them 😂 They love it!
Wow this is really smart. I always forget to water them, I should also just put them in my aquarium 😊 thanks for the tip.

I am enjoying the exhibit, can’t wait to see more
Philodendrons are my favorites! Alocasias, on the other hand....nope.

A. pedatoradiatum did the same for me. I think I pretty much quit Anthurium, except for my little A. timplowmanii, (not A. plowmanii)
off topic but im currently struggling wirh a bunch of dragons blood tree sap and oh my god its so sticky
My mom used to have a variety of orchids and anthuriums while i seem to kill all of mine *sigh*
You could post literally anything and I’d still watch start to finish.
He could recite the phone book and somehow make it entertaining and we would watch it start to finish. He's just interesting.
I love the exhibition videos. Thanks Nick!
Hello from "Pit" tsburgh PA. Mmm
Ooh I’m glad the houseplant exhibition is back!

Yes! love these ❤
Also, you're looking particularly good in this video!

I agree that air plants are underrated. though I'm still figuring out how to car for them. Do people fertilize? If so, how? Thanks!
I recently got into air plants. My assumption (based on the fact that they absorb moisture through their *leaves* ((are they even technically leaves?)) Is that the fuzzier the leaves the more light and water they need....I have no idea if that's right or not 😅
Ugh, I have killed so many aralias. I’d love a care video.
My favorite filler is a cissus rotundifolia.
Another RUclipsr advised me to try my anthurium in fluval stratum with a damp moss collar around the chonk
Morning Nick.....really like this series
Just got a starfish Snake plant and I'm obsessed 💚💚 love her
I would pick all of my different Sansevierias!
I adore the false aralia! Mine is small and I do find it special. What looks like it? Not much ❤❤
You're right re: pronouncing the double I's (ee-eye)
I loved this!!!❤❤❤❤❤ Such a fun way to spotlight plants!😊
Hi Nick. The curtisii has each "i" pronounced as "ee" : kurt-ees-ee-ee
The Thriller: Monstera Deliciousa
thanks for the video🥰
What soil mixture do I use for Hoyas?
Great video! Also, you are hilarious.

please show us the plant on a wooden hanger thanks
Your starfish was my absolute favorite!!!
What kind of you are you using on your fern?
I love you Nick💚💚❣️
Yessss I love this series!
Love ya nick miss ya 😘 lol
Good video, Nick.
This was really fun to watch- thanks!
My thrilleris my Philodendron florida green ; because it has reached my ceiling and is now growing towards my skylight ( probably plotting to escape)
My filler is / are al my small succulents ( love them )
My spiller has to be my Hoya polyneura because it blooming right now ❤
The drama is the same as yours and for the same reason 😅
Diva is my Alocasia frydek - i keep it under a grow light but it still struggles
And my underdog has to be my Cissus stratia ; i have never seen it in other videos but it such a prolific grower and has beautiful leaves- i got it from a friend as a small cutting - really a beautiful plant !
Greetings from Belgium !
Nick, the underdog False Aralia looks stunning in that yellow ceramic planter. Together they look like a match made in heaven!😍
I didn't even know that was you in the thumbnail! 😂💚
My Calathea fit into every single category for me, but if I get one more pest session they are out the door never to return 😂
I love these House Plant exhibitions. And your videos are better than ever....so well done. I've watched you since the early days. You have always been a favorite.
#teamcurtisi-eye
plant latin :)
My Hoya Curtisii is doing so well in an east facing window. Actually almost all my Hoya are on an east facing window sill and they love it!
Love your videos! ❤
The glasses look great🎉
👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏽
This video was so fun to watch
Full of great ideas for different plants
Thanks for your info
Hi Nick, I love your choices and I love this series, so happy you brought it back.
You have so much potential Nick keep doing videos!!!
I love that you love the false aralia! I always loved mine but it always seemed dismissed 😢
I have a small collection of air plants, and I love them too!
I had major issue with sweat too, I tried botox for the armpits, it's lifechanging!
Is this not dangerous health wise? I am just curious about this. Because you are sweating for a reason of course.
Miss you!!❤❤❤❤❤
I love the look of the False Aralia, but never had any luck with it 😢Maybe I need to try again...
