Amazing to see the oio hit and run straight in toward shore. It's crazy how they instinctively know to do that. I use kinda cheap spinning reels to fish, and sometimes my reels not fast enough to take up the slack when the oio runs straight in. Really appreciate the footage. That's the first footage I've seen of an actual oio hook up and run. You're really educating Hawaii fisherman with your fishcam. Can't thank you enough!
Howzit Bruddah C --mahalos for the comment-hopefully with a few more tweaks here and there will have more O’io hookups on the fishcam 🙏🏽. Yeah unreal but a lot of the Hammah ol school Lawai’a just know these kinda things through years of experience, but for a Bruddah like me who’s just kinda getting back into fishing after many years it’s like learning how to ride a bike again. The fishcam does help me understand what goes on in the water for sure-shorten the learning curve a bit. Mahalos for a great comment as always 🫵🏾💯🤙🏽
Great video as always, especially the underwater scenes. So cool to see what’s out there and what they doing and to see who’s taking my bait. Thank you and thank you oiohiitman808 for the tips. Too bad that oio came off, would have liked to see how big it was. I caught one oio at that beach but had to release it because it was too small. But as you said the oio’s swims towards shore so have to reel fast to keep tension on the fish. Thanks for always promoting positive behaviors, I hope people will learn from you! Mahalo!
