SUMMER-LIKE FOR AN INSTANT
Summer-like for an instant the autumn sun bursts out,
And the light through the turning elms is green and clear;
It slants down the path and ragged marigolds glow
Fiery again, last flames of the dying year.
A blue-tit darts with a flash of wings, to feed
Where the coconut hangs on the pear tree over the well;
He digs at the meat like a tiny pickaxe tapping
With his needle-sharp beak as he clings to the swinging shell.
Then he runs up the trunk, sure-footed and sleek like a mouse,
And perches to sun himself; all his body and brain
Exult in the sudden sunlight, gladly believing
That the cold is over and summer is here again.
But I see the umber clouds that drive for the sun,
And a sorrow no argument ever can make away
Goes through my heart as I think of the nearing winter,
And the transient light that gleams like the ghost of May;
And the bird unaware, blessing the summer eternal,
Joyfully labouring, proud in his strength, gay-plumed,
Unaware of the hawk and the snow and the frost-bound nights,
And of his death foredoomed.

Interesting location, don't worry about forgetting the flowers but I know what you mean but if this location is nearby you can put some flowers on the grave and I'm sure it will be appreciated. The big meet up Saturday next week with the mediums for filming for the fourth documentary on The Many Ghosts of Berry Pomeroy Castle. @@mattk5020 Oh no I do hope the weather works for you. It's not been great weather wise recently. It's been so hard to go out and film as it's either , wet , windy or both :( But good luck with the documentary. Hope the ghosts behave themselves for you ;) Yes, I did put some money on his grave , but I will go back that way as spotted a church that I wanted to film at so will take some flowers then. I always like to take things to put on a grave to say thanks when I go to a cemetery. Although, the last two times I forgot. 🙈🙈🙈🙈 Thanks for watching Matt. Glad you enjoyed it :)
@@bella_Areghostsreal Thank you Corrine, I have been talking with a medium who's also a Sharmanic healer who's had many experiences and sightings at the castle and grounds. She's seen the 7ft tall gatekeeper on the driveway who acts like a security guard if you like. She's seen and experienced a lot and spirits following her home too but she is going to record a RUclips video for the documentary highlighting her experiences. There's gonna be new mediums as well as some who were involved in the last two documentaries. New sightings and experiences from locals as well. Really hope you can get to BP soon when you can and I'd love to help you with the Berry Pomeroy stuff ect. Yes it's good that you leave money on the grave and a nice touch. Yes fingers crossed for Saturday because I don't know when these mediums will be available again 🤞

I was hoping I was doing George Orwell justice. I am also a book addict . I would have my own library if I had enough money and a mansion to put them all in HAHAHA . Yay, Yeah it is a great Read Sarah Penman makes him so relatable. It's about the war of the roses as well. I just love it . I go back to it all the time. I do love Richard the 3rd. I ma thinking of picking up my series that I was going to do about him last year , but then my laptop died and I lost all my footage. So need to redo it all. No worries at all. I do hope you enjoy the book . It's quite big just to warn you. A lot of pages. But I can't put it down.

Corrine, I’m the same way I used to live even in an in my adult life Princess Bell because she read books and I just love that movie. I watched it 100 times I found myself in her as I too appreciate a library theme. If I had like you said to a mansion, we would have a massive library wouldn’t we Corrine and I love the goes around the wall. I’ve always dreamed of that. Also yes we just need our mansion, Corrine laugh out loud we could make it happen.
Oh my gosh that is a great movie! Yes, I can see that we both have resemblance to her . Oh 100% basically the mansion would be 90% library and 10% wardrobe as would need a walk in wardrobe for all my clothes! HAHAHA Yeah, that would be amazing Gigi!

@@Gigi51 Bell used to be my last name before I got married. I do indeed. :) Oh yes!!! I like any books, I do primarily though steer towards , historical novels, and mythologies that kind of thing. What I am currently reading is " The sun in Splendour" by Sharon Penman. I have read that numerous times. I adore that book It's about Richard the 3rd. Written from his point of view and is so well done. 😀😀😀

I know right such a small grave With no special treatment. I think it's fitting but then also it's not at the same time because of the life he led. To be fair I love doing the research. It's probably one of my favourite bits about it. I just love learning about different time periods and what people had to go through and also how things have changed from then too and how much we can learn from the past. ❤️❤️ I definitely think in my previous life I was a cat or dog or something as I am always curious about everything lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

At high school we had the option of studying George Orwell or DH Lawrence. I chose Lawrence but that's just me. Most of my classmates went for Orwell. I remember my father talking about HH Asquith even though he died about 18 months before my father was born. It's nice to see the boats and the ducks. 🪦
Oh , wow you guys got a choice, we never got a choice on who we could study. DH Lawrence though is still a good choice to make. Did you know and this is one thing I forgot to include in the video is that HH Asquith is related to Helen Bonham Carter. He is her paternal grandfather due to his marriage to his first wife Helen. I loved Sutton Courtney its a beautiful place I will be doing a separate video of just a walk through of it. So there will be more ducks and boats. :) Thank you so much for watching
We had to do A Midsummer Night's Dream which put me off Shakespeare for decades until I read Macbeth. I knew the Asquiths and the Bonham Carters were related but I didn't know just how. If you make a video of that village I'll look forward to seeing it. 🦤⚓

I quite like Macbeth and Much to do about nothing (Only due to the wit of not the main characters , but the side characters Beatrice and Benedict . I think that is there names LOL I have forgotten). Awesome. I am thinking of maybe doing that one during the week and then on Saturday night having another ghost hunt . Or I may do the walk through of the village on Saturday. Not decided yet.
