Based on what you are growing the nutrients are given through a running water connected to a timer pump or in some methods its sprayed also. The plants roots will be in a neutral growing media and the nutrients mixed water is fed to it intermittently.

I think the nutrients are embedded in the cocopit. The water flow circulates the nutrients from cocopit to the plants.

At one point of time i too was very fascinated by hydroponics becoz of its advantages.I even got trained in a facility in bangalore I had not started the full fledged farm but used to do ir in small scale for experiments and own consumption.I had done chiilies , leafy vegetables, tomatoes. I also used to make my own nutrients.I also observed by changing the compositions of nutrients , i could control the color taste etc..which according to me is not ethical and natural. This method is useful in those countries where we have extreme weather or less cultivated land or water is challenge... and food is not natural . Lets stick to our old style of food producing techniques and lead a healthy life. Dharti Maa jaise de sakti hai yeh sirf pani se humko nahi milega...yeh satwik bhojan main nahi jayega . 🙏

@ Misti C, Not sure why you are spreading a wrong propaganda, i use hydroponics for self consumption and I never had to force control anything, be it nutrient solutions or artificial weather and still could get decent harvest. While this cannot be completely called organic yet it falls under safe and clean ways of growing sans the poisonous insecticides or pesticides. I live in Hyderabad where People buy leafy veggies grown with water that comes from rivers where human waste, industrial effulents are diverted. Now tell me what is better and safer. The fact that exotic veggies grown hydrophonically are being exported to countries like US, UK and gulf regions where the food quality standards are very high and stringent, your claim that hydrophonically grown vegetables are poisonous stand absolutely no ground.
@@srikanthreddy4229 I am talkin about commercial use of hydroponics. Israel and some western practice this technique as they have lots of environmental constraints, for them its like something is better than nothing. We have abundance in natural resource.why not to use that.? You are talking about waste water in hyd and the produce from them , what about those produce where you put only chemicals and those foods are served with poison only. Before labelling me a propagandist , just check the impact of using nutrients on food. Always remember its not necessary that food which looks nice and appealing to eyes also good for ur health . I have switched to natural farming so will continue.

We can promote natural farming as long as you can afford palak dhaniya pudina or other veggies at prices above 400/- per KG

The taste of these vegetables is not as good as those of land vegetables. For out of season crops like coriander leaves may ok, but not all the vegetables.
No one can replace natural soil , actually this is future framing when global warming increase the recommended temperature and not so much water available for farming .
