- My Anne Boleyn outfit is complete! I could not have done it without the help of my dear friend Torunn (sewenth_heaven on instagram), the support of my incredibly patient boyfriend, or the amazing Lady's Maid Marion (frumarion on instagram).
All in all, the project lasted for 1 year and 4 months, I spent 260 hours on it, and over NOK 10 000 in the end. And I am so very very proud.

What kind of fur is it trying to emulate?
According to the store, it’s “imitation bear” 😅 I think they would have used fur from arctic fox, squirrels or stouts in the period, but this was the least plastic looking fur I could find without actually going out and hunting something down, which I didn’t quite feel comfortable doing 😂
@@ThePetticoatedSwashbuckler oh I see! I’ve seen many people recreate historical fashion with the same fur so I just wondered if it’s supposed to look like that! Would you consider using vintage fur?
@@gustavmielke777 yes, I would have almost preferred that, since faux fur isn’t ideal for the environment. The problem was sourcing enough of it for my gigantic sleeves and Henry VIII’s fancy gown 😊
@@ThePetticoatedSwashbuckler I see! I usually buy my vintage fur when it’s around spring! So it’s WAY cheaper haha
