I find my hand gradually moves all the way to the hilt when I do them and I end up having to stop, how do I fix this? What am I doing wrong?

So that means you're grabbing too soon on each spin or you're not using the weight of the sabre to help you do the spins! So you always want to grab when the sabre is completely vertical and use the weight of the sabre so you're also grabbing when the sabre is at its "heaviest" point in the spin

I tend to bounce my hand once I release, is there anything I can do to fix that? I try to mentally remind myself but that doesn’t always work out.

@@stemalem I always tell my students to think about the rotation only coming from the wrist, because if it comes from any other part of the arm (forearm, elbow, shoulder) you will bound your hand. Also try to keep your forearm flat or "tabletop" which will help with that as well, if you move up or down it'll add to the bounce
