compound archery is not in paris olympics because of its expensive eqipments which isn't excessible to many poor countries therefore in order to make fair and balanced for all participating nation ioc took this decision.
If cost is the issue I can name you many other games having costlier equipments then this. It's just selective targetism. Since many European countries are not good at this , they decided to not include this.

Her event Compund Archery is not in Olympics. Only Recurve Archery is included in Olympics. Go check by googling first and don't invent your own reasons!

But Compound archery was started in the 1960s in the USA (with a then patented invention of Compund Bow in 1966) and in India only in 2004 it got inluded in National Sports Tournaments but never has got approved by IOC for inclusion in Olympics , including for Olympics 2028 in Los Angeles. One of the reason cited is the scope of inclusivity because it s still considered more famous in the western countries. However for the rejection for 2028 olympics the IOS had given reason of stress on budgeting due to higher number of participants that would arise from inclusion. So may be Compound archery proponents would succeed in later years for inclusion.

I shot recurve many years ago, I did get to try out a compound bow, found it far easier to control but, I stayed with my trusty recurve
