Loved the movie, the setting in the forest in France, the "fish pond" on La Lampy creek and the small, beautiful town of Cenne-Menesties. Also, the small stone chateau that was used for the vacation home was perfect just a stone's throw from the creek. The atmosphere created was magical by director/writer Andrew Steggall. All is visible on Google Earth including the warehouse where Clement tried to rebuild his motorcycle so he could go to Paris to see his sick mother, as well as the town, the chateau and the reservoir. Loved the song by Oliver Daldry, Catch the Wind. Alex looks like he's a young teen but he was about 20 when he appeared in Departure (2015). Super acting job by all.
I would not say it is a Sad Ending, but just before the end it does get a bit intense. Bits and Pieces are shown in this video. I have it on DVD, and like the over all story very much. There is an element of _Slice of Life_ to it.
I'm always curious if it really makes a difference? My witness is that he's incredibly skilled and I enjoy almost everything he does. At this point he hasn't commented on his sexuality. I'd be thrilled if he's gay, and I'd be thrilled if he isn't.
