If the DNC sticks to holding Biden out of debates, hard pass on voting either blue or red. And how would it be considered “wise” to blindly just vote one way or the other? You clearly do not understand the reality we inhabit. First, we saw in 2020 what a total waste of time "debating" Trump is. More importantly, this is not a normal year - Trump, with the near total consent (through silence if nothing else) and in most cases the support of the Republican Party has no intention of maintaining a democracy in this nation. They purged their party of every shred of decency that they could - if Trump and the GOP (as it exists now) regain power, they will never give it up. And there is ONLY one political force in this nation that can stop them, and it is the Democrats - whether you like it or not.
I have no idea what sort of political policies you prefer, but I can tell you this - if the Trumpublican Party" is not stopped, it won't matter - because you won't have a say in the matter anymore.

How is it that people who commit minor crimes cannot vote once they have served their sentences, but politicians not only can run for office with a criminal record, but can be prosecuted and convicted and STILL hold office?

quite simply, comitting a crime does not mean you are no longer a member of this democracy who should have a say in how the country is run and by who.
If being convicted of a crime stops you from voting, it creates incentive for those in power to label you a criminal.

One thing he said is true - that the level of ethics in the government, especially over the last few cycles has been abysmal.

It is not clear where George Santos was born. He says he's a first generation American. The Brazilian courts describe him as an American (he has dual citizenship). Yet there's no demand to view his birth certificate (like Obama), which is curious...

Just wondering…. If your income is $55K, how is that qualifying for unemployment?
If you made $50000 a month and you lost your job in February you could collect unemployment for 13 weeks as long as you were employed the previous year. Top unemployment is probably $600 or so now. Maybe a little less.

I have always had such respect for Wolf Blitzer ! I cannot imagine that he will want to be attached in any shape or form to this New CNN ! Kaitlyn sold her soul ! Why ?
She once worked for Fox, it's not as if her standards for employment were that high in the first place.

I actually don't even know what she could have done differently not to look like she was being raked through the mud by Trump. It was a sad sight to behold. The man just steamrolls over the fact checks. To him, it doesn't matter if all he does is refute the fact check with another lie. How do you deal with that if you are Collins? After a while, it becomes either fact-check every single word that comes out of his mouth and never ask a question at all or you have to just let him have the last lying word occasionally just to move to a new subject. It's all lies, but it looks like he "won". Idiotic move by CNN to platform Trump in such a way that the only pushback he receives is by their rising star anchor. The best way to platform him if at all is when there is an adversary like in a debate. Town hall with MAGA sycophants in the crowd is insanely awful.
"So nobody went unemployed". The qualification for unemployment in NY was earning under $26K. Santos said he earned $55K on this basic "livable" salary.
MSNBC going against CNN is like the polar opposite of NewsMax against Fox News.
Genuine journalism produces information viewer content with purpose. The question is what was CNN purpose in that charade of a show put out as a genuine interview of a candidate. That is not what was delivered to the viewers.

So which news source is on the right, which news source is on the left, and most importantly, which news source is on the center? I don;t think that it is Fox News, although they try to be.. Or MSNBC, for that matter. It's all very confusing.
Decide if it is your money or theirs.

Now it is easy.
CNN, FOX and MSNBC are all corporate owned and operated, with strong capitalistic bias. The only major outlet in the US not totally tied to corporate interests is that provided by PBS. However, even PBS is beholden to its funding groups, many of which have strong corporate ties. It is not so much a matter of Left vs Right, as it is to who owns it, who advertises on it, and who is tuning in. For the most informative news on the US it is best to look outside America, and in particular to news from Europe. I would say Canada, but in Canada most of the media is currently owned by the same private interests as in the US. The one exception is the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, CBC, but even it is beholden to advertisers, many of which have US roots. My advice is to read, listen to, and watch news from the widest possible spectrum of sources and interests. I will say that, even though it is labeled "left wing" the American Democracy NOW tends to be the most informative and thorough of US news sources, although they are limited by a lack of funding.
