Fantastic. Worked just like you said. How did you find this fix? Not something I would have even thought to try. I knew if anyone would get it, it would be you.
What a Microsoft bug... I was very confused when realizing the Windows + Shift + S shortcut does not work on Windows 11. Glad to know that it is a known issue and that Microsoft is working on a resolution.. hopefully an official system update solving the issue will roll out soon..
I think this is how he discovered it, found this online "Windows 11 PCs may have an issue opening certain built-in applications. The Snipping Tool, Touch Keyboard, Voice Typing, and Emoji Panel are among the affected apps. The problem is related to an issue with a Microsoft digital certificate that expired on *October 31, 2021* "
You're so helpful and AMAZING! Thank you so much for giving us an actual fix! It's frustrating how people came up with all those other "fixes" that didn't fix the problem - wasting people's times!

Thank you so much! I'd just sat down to get work done, had everything open, and the tool didn't work. I appreciate you showing possible fixes, then the final fix. You have earned a subscriber. Thank you!!!
hello sir . i have new problem with this tools. you see there is a edit tab after taking screen shots? i don't have it, after i take screen shot it just copy it on my clipboard, and i can't edit it , can u please help me to reactivate it? i did try to disable copy to clipboard from app setting, but not fixed the problem , thanks for your help
it worked!! tysm i was so frustrated because I often use snipping tool and it was a huge hindrance when I can't use it. The hack still works after months
i just updated It was windows 11 yesterday. I'm very disappointed why it doesn't work. but i came to see you Do as you suggest. One last step, done, I can use it. It's really crazy that the solution ends up adjusting the day.
THANK YOU..... Your work-around works here. Only thing that was weird is that when I went to change the date to Oct. 31 there was no Oct. 31 in the dropdown box so I used the last date in the dropdown box whick was Oct. 30 and that worked. THX again...
Windows 11 Snipping Tool works for me, but I still prefer the old Windows 10 Snipping Tool. Do you know if the older Windows 10 Snipping tool can be downladed and used on Windows 11 ? Great video by the way , thanks !
never thought that changing the date would fix the problem! Thank you for this video, little do you know that you had saved a lot of time for us trying other methods that not gonna solve our problems! Thank youu buddyy!!
After a windows 11 upgrade my snipping tool has totally vanished from my apps. 😡. This didn’t work either I just had an error message on screen saying your time and date is incorrect. I give up. But thanks for sharing Brian.
Thanks for this. I will wait a bit longer before updating to 11 (on my supported and unsupported hardware) - when hopefully they have the bugs worked out.....maybe early next year.
I was starting to think this was a wind up, until it worked haha. Genius - no idea how you found that out? Many thanks I use snipping tool all the time so it's really useful.
Good morning, after ensuring all updates were current, I tried the 2nd solution (turning clipboard history on) and that resolved the issue - on my PC. Snipping tool working as intended.... Thank you for your video.
Funny, I actually was not having the issue and realized I hadn't been able to access my clipboard history. So I went in and turned on the clipboard history, suddenly none of my keyboard shortcuts would work. CTRL+C, CTRL+P, etc, nothing. Then the snipping tool also stopped working at the same time. The manual date change worked for me and I also regained access to my keyboard shortcuts as well. Weird bug.
Nice presentation. The key to success after changing the date appears to be opening SETTINGS, typing "snipping tool" and clicking on the item - PRIOR to turning auto-date back on. Nutty.
it really worked!!!..i too tired lot of option through settings nearly 10 days.. i was facing the issue.. finally google and youtube has solution for any sought of issues... so thank you for the vedio maker... jus by changing the date and time!! actully worked ....no one will think of it..
Didn't work the first time, but I tried it again and it worked (time and date solution). Thanks pal. I use the snipping tool a lot, and I would have been pissed if I could not have gotten it to work. You da man!
This fix indicates an expired security certificate was blocking the renewal of the cert for the snip tool. Setting the computer back in time made the cert valid to the computer which allows it to function and get a new cert.
your fix was the only one that actually worked thank u very much brother and also thank u for showing that none of the other fixes work, thanks for so much hard work
Thank you so much! You have been a great help. I was fairly frustrated due to the inoperability of this function. Would never have found this solution. Thanks again!
My god, I've been troubling by this for days... Thank you so much!!! It's interesting how it works by changing the date, I wish there's reason hahahaha thank you so much!!!!
Thanks man. How on earth did you think to check the "adjust date/time" for this issue? Is there something coded within the system that links these in some way? This almost seems like a needle in a haystack resolution, but u found it...wow!
I think this is how he discovered it, found this online "Windows 11 PCs may have an issue opening certain built-in applications. WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?! Omg. Thank you so much! What made you decide to use that as a fix? Aaaarg, I was really frustrated yesterday at work, and you saved my day today. Thaaanks! (I'm still curious what made you think of using that or if you accidentally found that out.hoho)

On my Windows 10 the same problem. Snipping tool doesn't work. I found the problem is all about rights. So I surged for the location of the exe-file, made a shortcut on my desktop and in the properties I gave it administrator rights. All is working fine now. Cheers from Belgium. Jan
What happens if you accidentally uninstall the snipping tool? I can not figure out how to get it back and I'm kind of on a time crunch... Very frustrated...
Thank you for the help with the snipping tool fix. I've tried almost everything, but thought that the date change was just to absurd to work, so I didn't try it.
This is the only fix for ‘This app can’t open’ drop us a LIKE 👍
No can do. No worky
I appreciate your help a lot, thank you !
It worked for me
Fantastic. Worked just like you said. How did you find this fix? Not something I would have even thought to try. I knew if anyone would get it, it would be you.
THANKS! This worked for me!
The number of hours I spend trying to fix windows bugs, this clear genuine advice saves me so much time. THANK YOU!
What a Microsoft bug... I was very confused when realizing the Windows + Shift + S shortcut does not work on Windows 11. Glad to know that it is a known issue and that Microsoft is working on a resolution.. hopefully an official system update solving the issue will roll out soon..
Unbelievable, I would never have found this, thanks Brian.
You're welcome Eddie

That's brilliant. I've been rubbing my head around since the upgrade. That's such a bizarre bug! and you've found it! 👍
Awesome! How did you ever figure that out? I really get a lot from your videos. They are timely, concise, and on target.
Thank you, changing the time and date helped! So strange this would affect the snipping tools.
Glad it helped!

tf turning on clipboard history actually worked for me I did not expect that. Thank you for actually going through multiple solutions.
@Britec09 I installed 1 update, restarted my laptop, re-opened the snipping tool and it works now! Very helpful video. Thank you!
You're amazing, the examples that you give, demonstration and everything is perfect! Fixed my snipping tools by using your method. Thanks!
Glad I could help

Man, what a time with u, at the end i just thought u were just kidding and now I have it working. Thanks man.
Brian, your post is awesome! Thanks for saving me lots of time and effort!
I have no idea how you figured this one out!? Works perfect! Thanks man!
Awesome! For me the fix was to first enable the snipping tool history, then to uninstall and reinstall the tool. Now everything works. Great video!
Changing the date to anything prior to October 31st made this work. You saved my life haha. Thank you so much.

Thanks Brian! You are the only person that's gotten this right. I tred all the fixes you went through with no luck. IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY!
Thanks for the video! Subscribed & liked. The time & date thing fixed it for my client.
it worked!! tysm i was so frustrated because I often use snipping tool and it was a huge hindrance when I can't use it. The hack still works after months
The forward and back arrows were not working on recent photos. The final fix worked. Brilliant!
i just updated It was windows 11 yesterday. I'm very disappointed why it doesn't work. but i came to see you Do as you suggest. One last step, done, I can use it. It's really crazy that the solution ends up adjusting the day.
It is amazing. I struggled in the past several days trying to get this resolved but not until I watch this video. Thank you so........much.

There's always some ridiculous way of fixing issues like this after an upgrade. Amazing find! thank you!
Holy shit can't even believe changing date will solve this issue, thank you so much !
You're welcome
Thank you so much, changin the date and time worked!! FINALLYYYY
wow, one reason I subscribe because this really helps me. thank you!.
This is legit the happiest fix I've ever run into😂
My snip tool would open, but not keep the snipped image. Changing the date worked for me! Thanks.

Thank you!!! Changing the date worked for me 🙌🏼🙌🏼
I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this. Finally, I have got my snipping tool back. Thank you!
Don't know how you found that roundabout way of fixing the issue, but sure do appreciate your time and effort!
Didn't work the first time, but I tried it again and it worked (time and date solution). Thanks pal. I use the snipping tool a lot, and I would have been pissed if I could not have gotten it to work. You da man!
Thanks for this. I've watched few videos. This is the only fix that works for me.
Works for me with 1st method. The last method was a classic... Thank you! :)
Thanks, this worked for me. Quite the most bizarre fix for a problem I have ever come across. Wonder how on earth it was found?
This fix indicates an expired security certificate was blocking the renewal of the cert for the snip tool. Setting the computer back in time made the cert valid to the computer which allows it to function and get a new cert.
Thanks!
This worked for me the other day when you recommended it to me. I had to go back to September for it to work but it did it. Thanks as always!
can't believe that actually worked... just toggled automatic time adjustment on and off. tx for the tip.
Thanks for the video! One question, does this fix make the hotkey work too?
Such a cheeky little bug haha. Thanks for sharing it.
your fix was the only one that actually worked thank u very much brother
and also thank u for showing that none of the other fixes work, thanks for so much hard work

What happens if you accidentally uninstall the snipping tool? I can not figure out how to get it back and I'm kind of on a time crunch... Very frustrated...
how did you even discover this solution ?!!!! worked for me and thanks much for making this video
Omg!!!!!! Thank youuuu so muchhh!! I don’t see how the time & date relate to the snipping tools BUT IT WORKED!! ❤️
it basically sets it before you updated to windows 11 which is windows 10
OMG this is crazyyy, thanks a lot, I was frustrated but this helped a lot.
I reset my PC and snipping tool still didn't work. Well done that worked. Thanks much!
Your fix worked great! Thank you.
One important point, set the date and time randomly for first time. Don't set it to current date and time or else it won't work. Thanks it worked.
Great video Brian, but 07:47 "September 31st"...lol
Wow I was one of the frustrated ones and this worked haha! Thanks a lot :)
I updated my windows 11 today and it works directly. Thank you
Thanks a lot for this very helpful tip brian!! This is what actually worked after all the other options. That was simply unbelievable :)
You're welcome!
Thanks, thats works for me, even without changing the date. just with the upgrade.
Thank you brother.....Iam watching your videos for fixing any errors in my Laptop....You are so fantastic❤️😻😍
Thanks for watching
Thank you for the help with the snipping tool fix. I've tried almost everything, but thought that the date change was just to absurd to work, so I didn't try it.
It works
