    I've been following your journey into and thoughts about GW2 previously, I do see you are a bit overwhelmed which is rather normal, but honestly just take it slow and enjoy the game on your own. As some other mentioned in the comments it's a bit "eh" that a smaller squad is following you and essentially doing everything for you in the non-story instanced parts so you have less of a combat experience, since they are just sort of carrying you around. I've seen you talk about gearing and be a bit confused and interested in it, if you wish to feel free to check out a 'recent' video I made (I solely made it mostly for newbies and super casuals) on "how to deal damage" in GW2, funnily enough nobody made such video before to explain how gearing and game mechanics add together on dealing damage. While I'm not much of a "I have a guide for that" person in the GW2 creator community, since I sort of just make random GW2 memes, I still enjoy helping out others if I can (I also main Necro 👀) Hope you enjoy GW2 in the long run, it's a great and very spoiling MMO x) But genuinely, I do advise to taste the game alone and not be with a group of people, at the start it can really kill your experience and learning curve of the game as people will overwhelm you with items and "help".

    Alot of discussion around getting gear at lvl80, in case you have not been told, there is a gear merchant, south of the Mist Portal in Lion's Arch. Lionguard[Merchant], standing beside the Lionguard[Skirmish Merchant]. Sells you cheap, full stat selectable gear and is an easy way to get celestial gear, weaps and acc.

    Cele gear is highly recommended, especially for a necro being that your shroud is increased with vitality. Cele gear has been tested by such people as Lord Hizen, someone who frequently gives Anet headaches with balance and such, and the difference between zerker and cele gear is very minimum in dps while your survivability jumps.

      @mmorpgreviewer 13 дней назад +1

      I mean, I agree celestial is very good in many situations. But saying zerker and celestial dps difference is minimal is not really true when you speak about high end dps builds with boons for instanced content.

    your level up experience will not be ideal if you gonna do everything with a group of ppl doing the killing and directing you to where to go for you. i havent even seen you dodge once because you dont have to :D. play solo and leave the grouping for later. u gonna have a bad first impression even if you think you dont

      💯💯 Also I think He would have so much more fun, exploring core Tyria by himself than being directed. The Open World is so great in this game. I am currently doing a map completion bit by bit, because I need the completion item for legendaries and I definetly forgot how cool and lovely designed core Tyria actually is.

      Agreed. Honestly im kinda disappointed in the people running with him. They’re prioritizing their enjoyment over his.

      Yeah, ppl killed all the mobs that he need to fill his heart quest. I am kinda annoyed with the group, they made him lvl up slower

    • @jhmi7877
      @jhmi7877 12 дней назад +1

      It would probably be a good idea for him to make an alt that he uses for his streams, and a main one for his own enjoyment.
      It sucks though, because I get why he wants to run around with just this one character first, so he gets to only see the first impressions of everything. But yeah, his other "minions" are actually not helping, both with his progression and his interaction with the game.

    Switching from Berserker’s to Celestial Gear was a game changer for me at first. It’s nice that you have the full set of Berserker’s if you want to swap it out for grouping but Celestial will keep you alive when you’re just running around.

    not sure if you see this... but action cam is a lot more enjoyable on melee weapons
    so when you play greatsword & spear or greatsword & dagger + X then you can play a lot in action cam.
    Also in actioncam, you can still right click your target for targeted abilities.
    In the options you can then also put "Snap Ground Target to Current Target" under Combat/Movement also "Lock Ground Target at Maximum Skill Range is a must set option so you can gage the distance better.
    sorry for long comment, hope it helps though!
    Hope you can enjoy your time in tyria the way you want, even if it's not the most "optional" gameplay ^^

    I recommend to settings on check the show object name, so you can easily find any item or object to interact with for quest or anything. And show enemies name also make you easier to locate anymobs to kill nearby

    Don't waste your booster on a level 75 character that's a literal waste. Since you have 85 gold you can buy everything you need for your build in the black market

    • @jaroslav3905
      @jaroslav3905 12 дней назад

      I'd suggest to consider making an alt of the same armor weight and use the booster with that character. You get the same armor and 80 levels instead of 5. The weapons will be probably different but there's a solid chance he'll want to change those anyways. As somebody pointed out - after you spend a bit of time in WvW, the vendor there offers a very affordable stat selectable exotic gear.

    There's an option to enable an outline of whatever you have targeted. It makes tab-targeting a lot easier to manage. Action Cam is scuffed if your setup has a lot of AoE effects.

    the gear is the foundation for your build but what is more important is understanding the boon system in gw2, without understanding the boon system you might struggle very very hard on some bosses

    • @jhmi7877
      @jhmi7877 12 дней назад

      We need to go a bit deeper than that. Boons and conditions are necessary to understand, definitely. However, it's better to know the very basics of the game, how your stats add up and how to build up your damage and defenses WITHOUT boons in the mix. That way, you have a good idea on how the core mechanics work. And then, add boons in there and see how things change. It's not great to rely on boons and gear alone to do the work for you unless you want something incredibly easy, but it seems like this ytuber doesn't necessarily just want easy.

    I concur, use Celestial until you really understand combat. Go Berserker when you are confident in your understanding of combat, mechanics, and how to survive.

    • @jaroslav3905
      @jaroslav3905 12 дней назад

      Or start with Celestial and change to Berserker slowly a piece at the time. That way you slowly start experiencing the struggles of combat and will learn how to survive more naturally. Or, you know, just swap right away, "toss them in the water and let them learn to swim", since there's no real danger but some painful moments.

    With your follower base I suspect a Legendary is a legit thing you could get in a "short" period of time. I've been playing GW2 since early access, I'm sitting on 6-7 thousand hours after breaks, and I have yet to acquire even one Legendary. I've gotten up to the Precurser for several, and have some of the parts, but I'm still a long way from even my first.

    29:13 That guy gave you some great tips!
    Celestial gear is the best for any build, you get a bit of everything, you can stack might and more dps, you get more toughness and vitality so better survivability etc.
    Your boon/buff uptime is longer and so on, celestial is awesome!
    You can do everything with celestial! 👍

  • @nielsjensen4185

    It gets deeper and darker than that. The reason you're killing so many centaurs is that the area that encompasses Kryta is an ancestral land to them that the humans conquered violent colonialism. The centaurs think Kryta is weak due to the rise of Zhaitan and is taking advantage of the chaos to retake what they lost.
    Any human kingdom in Tyria is the result of colonisation or violent colonisation. The human kingdom of Ascalon even included genocide in their violent colonisation, this is the reason the Charr was really angry at them and invaded the land. It used to be theirs.
    It's just so long ago that it's become ancient history.

    I wouldn't boost a 75lvl alt. The named exotic armour sets in the trading post are cheap enough for most purposes.
    You should also get some Badges of Honour (a world v world currency) in early achievement rewards. In wvw maps you can buy armour with stat selectable choices really cheaply.
    Id Save the boost for a fresh or low lvl alt.

    New player being stalked by veteran players carrying him and ruining his experience, kinda sad tbh. The leveling experience would have been much more fun without these people.
    Of you really want to stalk a streamer, at least swap to a supoort build.

    • @bosunbones.8815
      @bosunbones.8815 13 дней назад +2

      Is that any better though? Imagine being used to perma -boons then suddenly not having them solo when unexpectedly needing them?

    • @jhmi7877
      @jhmi7877 12 дней назад

      @@bosunbones.8815 Yeah, I can see this not working out well either.
      I would suggest for the players to run around with fresh toons as well, WHILE being mindful of not killing everything for them.
