This guy is a true work horse. I want to know how many neighbors are sitting in side a warm house eating dinner. Watching him “hey hun, you see this guy building this house. ALL BY HIMSELF it’s f**king amazing”
FYI when we are building in cold weather we build a heat box for things like genies. It's a box with sides of insulated panels taped over with a pipe out for the generator exhaust. A small heater get the place up to a little warmer temp and is also great for putting gloves into.
Should build yourself a hot box, if you have access to power or if you have a generator just put your compressor in the hot box and pick up a heater, usually works for us when it’s cold out, and works great for heating up gloves too, love watching ya keep it up! 🍻🍻

Never mind the beer, instead you need wine to make you feel warmer. Regarding to the compressor, knock next door and ask to leave it inside for few minutes or set it under the furnace or WH vent. It should work
I have just started watching this channel about a week ago and one thing I've never seen before is the 19.2 on the studs. I'm in North Carolina the everything we build here is 24 or 16 on center.
check the long springs in hat dewalt gun, my 3 dewalts have hundreds of thousands of nails through them and only those springs have gone so far, also keep it dry/take it inside with you. you have to understand how the gun works for it to last a long time, it uses friction to fire the nail so frost or rain or the worst one is rusty nails. when the gun fires a rusty strip of nails the rust falls off inside the gun and then you have to take it apart and clean it.
Would love to see the plans you have to work with. Maybe a video on how to read plans? Also loving the time lapse videos! Keep it up bro! Look forward to your videos each day, I’m a general contractor similar to you where I’d rather do it myself then hire someone.
We've got that same dewalt electric nailer for the form guys so that we didnt have to run a hose from the compressor, but its already broke. You have to take the battery out and put it back in, then you get one shot, and have to take the battery out and in again. So we just rented a second compressor for the forms
As a residential framer, one of the only times I am using a roofing nailer is when I am installing DensGlass. I do not own a roofing nailer, but need to just for DensGlass.
You got a lot done considering some of your tools weren't working. The compressor not working sounds like something that would happen to me. LOL. As it is, someone stole my compressor and I had to buy a new one.
I like my dewalt framer, I'm just a carpenter though. Not sure its ready for all day every day use. Could be wrong but I dont think its quite there yet. Handy as hell for me. Beats pulling out the generator on new builds.
I had high hopes for that dewalt.. probably one of those jams put a burr on something.. that middle strip of tyvek where it goes over under.. thats interesting.. we are still building with OSB here but our setbacks are farther.. we have like 30 feet between homes... stay warm :o)
Dude you are a beast at carpentry and framing, and its obvious that you make more money working alone. But in all honesty you would make even more money if you had a crew. Also the stress on your body will catch up too you in a few years man. If you had a crew it could eventually grow to where you have multiple crews all over the state working on homes for big builders.
I’ve tried to run multiple crews before, and it was such a nightmare I went back to building alone. I make way more money with a fraction of the head aches .
@@seantap1415 Didn't know that. just got one beginning of this year and that one didn't. Regardless, I would still recommend the Hitachi one. The only downside i have noticed so far is it only holds one strip of nails.
Liam McGarrigle That is the thing I miss most about pneumatic when I’m using cordless. My pneumatic holds 2 full strips of nails plus another part strip and doesn’t need anything else. The Paslode is my favourite cordless but only holds one strip of nails. So it feels like I am constantly adding more nails, then changing the battery, then more nails, then more gas, then more nails. The pneumatic just seems to let me work longer and fires faster. I find 2 strips in the gun is usually enough to finish the wall or whatever it is that I’m working on. If it wasn’t for how annoying it is dragging around 100’ of hose and tripping over it and having it get tangled around ladders, I would just use pneumatic.
