Installing a new Ohlins DFV coilover suspension on my Nissan Skyline R32 GTR. Ohlins DFV "duel flow valve" allows this coilover to allow handling performance suited for both road and track. Designed to soak up harsh fast bumps but still allow responsive handling. How to adjust ride height and pre load settings. Ohlins Road and Track have been reviewed endless times and are considered one of the best suspensions in the Skyline community in Japan. Unbox these Ohlins and review the set up manual and coilover settings, adjustments for ride height and dampening levels.

I have these on my Evo 6 and they're lush. If you're using them on the road it's good not to set the car low you want to give the wheel enough room to.move up and down to absorb the bumps. If you set the ohlins to a soft setting (20 clicks) it's like riding on magic carpet. One thing I especially like with these is the faster you go the better they seem to work, even on the harder settings.
Well said, I love these coilovers. I did install softer springs to get rid of the rough ride and bounce these had. Went for a 10kg front 8kg rear to a 5/4 set up. Rides perfect in my opinion with this set up.
@@JDMRightHandDrive Would you say it's understeery ? I was thinking of going the same route with my R33 GTR.
Nismo puts higher springrate rear to allow the front to turn better
Those look really nice, looking forward to seeing that thing on the track!! Keep up the good work.
Definitely looking at buying the same setup
Great upgrade, should be quite a different ride feel. I went with Fortune Autos and I am pretty pleased. My son got the G4+ for his Z32 and he is very happy with it, still on the fence with G4 or Haltech for my R32. Looking forward to you installing G4. Thumbs up.
I have the same setup..mine keeps coming loose slightly and making noise. How did you get the nylon nut tighter?
Did you use the Allen wrench inside the center opening to hold the coil over in place to tighten the nut? Make sure not to over tighten because you can compromise the nylon locking nut
@@JDMRightHandDrive
Yes I did. They stay tight and quiet for a few hundred miles or so the get noisy again…checked everything many times. Everything is tight
Should I try to increase the per load maybe?
@@SWFlowseeker make sure you torque to the correct specs
Did you corner weigh it using those measuerments? 🙂
No unfortunately I have never gotten around to taking my suspension game to that level yet. Good questions and thanks for watching.
@@JDMRightHandDrive awesome mine are going on next week I'll measure corner wights before and after :-)
